The Hon. Chairman, ICPC, Nigeria
*Academic Fraud and Image of Nigeria Institutions.**
Dear Mr. Chairman sir,
We are reaching out to ICPC to bring your attention to Akyala Ishaku of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (refer to enclosed files and link).
On May 22, 2023, our university received an email from this individual requesting a partnership or collaboration with the University in Germany. However, upon conducting an online search, we discovered several questionable and dubious details about him.
It turns out that Akyala Ishaku has made false claims about his academic and professional credentials, particularly in the field of medicine and health. Furthermore, we uncovered video clips of him speaking on national television stations like Channels and Arise TV on health matters of global interest, probably with plagiarised facts.
We are urging you to investigate this individual and ensure that the good reputation of Nigeria's university system remains untarnished (please refer to all enclosed files from various platforms). It is quite alarming that someone could complete three master's degrees in just one year (with discrepancies between the years), and we have reason to doubt his claim of having two PhDs. We also contacted Prof. Maikel Peppelbosch, with whom he claims to have received (Mentor/supervisor) a PhD from Erasmus University, ~_location please_~ but we have yet to receive a response.
It is truly disheartening that individuals like Akyala Ishaku can jeopardize Nigeria's reputation as a nation and its citizens working with international institutions or living abroad. As patriotic Nigerians, it is our duty to uphold the integrity of our educational system and the name of our beloved nation. Your sincerely, *Concerned Nigerian scholar from Germany*
Desired outcome: Investigation and Justice should be the endpoint.
