I recently ordered a set of Judging Amy from www.allmytvshows.com and have since found out I was scammed. I was charged over $125.00 and never received the movies. The contact numbers are disconnected and the live chat operators lie and tell you the order is being processed. I have done some investigating and found this site is bogus as is a host of other dvd sales sites. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE COMPANIES!
Oh come on. Did you really think you were getting legitimate releases? 90% of these shows have never been released, and never will be.
Yeah, it's a pirate site, but that's pretty obvious going in. I've bought a few series from them, and always gotten exactly what I expected--VHS -quality repros on burned DVD-Rs. But that's better than never getting the shows at all.
I'm just sorry that they seem to have gotten shut down before I could pick up a few more series. Alas.
I placed my order on the 9th of Dec, was billed on the 12th of December. It is the 18th of January and I have not received my product. I have attempted numerous times to contact customer service. The phones are never answered, and the emails I have received state that my order has been sent, and they give me a tracking number, which states after checked that this tracking number does not exist. I signed up for email updates and have yet to receive any. I FINALLY got a hold of a live chat rep today and stated to them that I wanted a refund. She then told me that my order had in fact been sent and was sitting at the US customs inspections. After threatening them with reporting to my credit card company and the Canadian authorities she agreed to grant me a refund. I then promptly (amazingly!) received an email stating that I was to be refunded. We'll see if this happens. She stated that it should appear within 3-5 business days. I have not actually heard of anyone receiving a refund from this company so I do not plan to hold my breath.
I am sending a complaint to the FBI about these Canadians. The company is in Canada, and they will not take calls if you complain. I have tried for two years to get my money back and they don't respond. The have infringed copyrighted material and need to be punished. I believe the fine is $250, 000.00
Names of companies are changing but products remain the same. They always seem to be recent companies and web pages don't remain open long. Most do not list an actual addresses. Look at the contact information if it's vague or suspicious there's a reason. One that I was recently concerned with " WOstore" has closed down their website. I would offer caution to the following.
Bestdvdoutlet.com
I placed an order with www.allmyfavoriteshows.com. They charged my credit card within 24 hours. Three weeks later I finally received my order. When I opened the box I discovered that half of my dvds were missing and one DVD was broken. I tried calling customer service [protected] like the web page says but could not get through.
I sent many emails to them but heard nothing back. BUYER BEWARE!
Unfortunately I did not research this company prior to ordering. When I searching internet for a solution to my problem, I found many people burned by this company.
It appears they operate under many names and often do not send any shipments at all. I feel special :)
If you type "1-877-7-TV-SHOW" in the search-engine box you will see for yourselve just how many different websites are displayed, all with the same number.
Here is a list of websites they manage and that need to be avoided:
DVDAvenue.tv
DVDCraze.tv,
TVDVDMania.tv,
TVDVDPlanet.com,
TVAddicts.tv,
TVonDisc.com,
Raredvds.tv
empiricalfilm.tv
internationalfilm.tv
Tvdvdplanet also trades on Ebay under these names: greyhare68, *FLASHASH*, shoot.john, huntyoudown. They are being investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
If you just place an order with them, cancel your credit card and dispute the charge with your bank.
My husband and I placed an online order through www.allmyfavoriteshows.com and ordered a set of WKRP in Cincinnati DVD's. His credit card was immediately charged for the order. After a few weeks we finally received the order and started watching a DVD and realized it was bogus. It would stop and you could see tv commercials in the DVD verifying that it was bootleg and copied on a television. Most of the other DVD's would not even play all the way through. We have turned them into the Industry Canadian office who investigages Canadian companies. I hope they can help me get my money back and put them out of business.
