ANHosting cancelled my order, would not provide a reason, then barred me from ever ordering from them again
I placed an order on July 26th 2012 for two years of hosting service with ANHosting.com and received a confirmation number (MP-[protected]) that guaranteed setup in 24 hours or less. After about two days with no other contact from them, I emailed them to ask about the status of the order.
I was told that the order was cancelled, the charge refunded and that I could never place an order with them again.
When I sent a follow-up email, I was told that my order triggered an anti-fraud check.
I called their customer service department on July 30th to ask about the cancellation and why it was *fraud* when I used my own credit card, I was told by a very condescending man that my email address was "ridiculous" [his exact words] and that the company didn't like that I used a VPN to place the order.
Further, he laughed at me and told me that they would never accept orders from me and to take my business elsewhere.
I hung up the phone and then came here to write a complaint. It's literally unbelievable that when you try to pay a company to use their service, that they laugh at you, tell you that your email address is ridiculous and that it they consider it fraudulent to protect your privacy with a VPN. I will repost this message on every board about web hosts that I can find.
