Bought an adult female Devon Rex, sneezing upon arrival. She won't allow anyone to visit her cattery at home because it makes her kids uncomfortable. Vet exam showed evidence of Herpes infection, which I treated. Then I found lumps on this kitty's mammary glands. I had her less than 2 weeks and made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. I was offered a healthy kitten then the breeder changed her mind, refunded half my money for the original cat. I begged for the cat back and was denied. She is now SHOWING the cat with tumors. She broke my heart selling me a cat that needed immediate vet care and exhibited an utter lack of compassion by denying me a healthy one. One of her queens had to give birth by C-section, and the other lost a kitten that failed to thrive. She handled this delicate situation poorly.

I did not threaten to commit suicide, I did not cause the URI which was present upon arrival. I spent $200 in vet care in the first two weeks I had her. I spent hours getting second opinions, and researching reasons why these may have lumps presented. I did not want to get a mastectomy done, it was the recommendation from two different vets. The lumps began to subside before she was returned, the diarrhea was likely a result of the Antirobe medication she had been on after sneezing chunks of snot within days of having her, still in isolation. She would not eat the different types of balanced raw food she was offered. She ate an incredibly miniscule amount of canned food which was one small can divided amongst 3 cats which she ate the remainder of. I suffer from PTSD and this unfortunate situation devastated me. This breeder has many happy clients and I had hoped to be one. This did not turn out to be the case. I cared very much for this cat and only wanted to love and care for her. My house is not filthy and I have always been completely honest in all my communications. Contracts protect breeders not owners. I am more than willing to pay thousands to take care of my cats. I spent thousands caring for my Bengal rescue who was adopted with health issues. I spent hundreds on another rescued kitten. And my rescued Devon I spent over $10, 000 on her care. I bought a cat from a breeder believing her to be in good health. The bottom line is I returned a cat within contract guidelines, had my heart broken, and am out $500 (after the refund).

I do not have 3 normal hair cats as you stated. I have a domestic medium hair female, a Bengal, and a Pixie Bob - all rescues.

I know this breeder personally and have 3 of her devons. So when I read this I asked her she as always is more than willing to show explain everything.

1. There is proof that that cat went and had not 1 but 2 full check ups before the adoption

2. This lady is nuts. Which is why melissa denied you.

3. You live with 3 normal hair cats In a filthy home which you were smart enough to send her pics of. No wonder the cat was sneezing

4. There is no human capable of predicting lumps. She went so far above and beyond with you. Answered your spaming over reactive text and constant spaming of cancer crap. She handled you with patience and grace.

5. You wanted to jump right to doing outlandish procedures as a double mascetomy with out even knowing what the lumps were. Melissa took the cat back and right to the vet set ip. Aplan of care which of course you were to inpatIent fo and kept spaming multiple links to sites daily. Making lude comments demanding the cat back.

6. It took over a week for her to get her bowels back to normal. She had horrid diarhea because you again ignored what she states clearly in the guidelines and contract not to feed canned food. You did it anyway.

7. She told you multiple times cat was staying there. Refunded you all but the 250 deposit. Which lady by contract she didnt have to even do that. You could not seem to get the fact she ended the transaction witg you.

So you kept sending messages nasty vulger messages. Even threatened to commit suicide if she did not give the cat back. There is no good breeder in this world that should adopt you anything ever.

You are blamming her for your actions. Put your big girl pants on and own what youve done and what you tried to do.

You buy an animal its your responsibility to care for them. Not bail expect the breeder to drop thousands on fixing the catand get her back. What ever kind of fairy tail world you live in is so far from reality it is pathetic.

Melissa is a very compationate responsible breeder. The cat has no lumps and is extremely healthy and happy. What she and her vet team had in their plans is none of your concern she was right to keep you in the dark about what was happening.

Your fear and paranoia of cancer due to the last devon is ridiculous. So willing to throw her away. You trying to blame someone else for your poor choices is shameful.

I encourage anyone who has questions about anything regarding melisaa to just ask her. She is open and more than willing to discuss things. As well as backing up everything she says with documented proof.
