This and most such small dealerships in Ontario purchase cars from Ontario purchase vehicles from Quebec and sell them in Ontario after an odometer roll-back as there is no exchange of vehicle registration info between the provinces. Plus this dealer ship makes false promises about the details of the car ie having spare keys and key fobs, [censored]embly was removed for cleaning and will be replaced when vehicle is ready for pickup. All a lie just to trap you with a deposit and give you more excuses on vehicle pickup as to why the missing items are not there etc... don't buy cars from them if you have and run into a problem contact www.omvic.on.ca and report the matter.

Hi
I am a student of York University, have bought my 3rd car from Bay Auto Zone, I have always been happy with their service and have never experienced less than profetional customer service.
I had contact the OMVIC and told them about this comment and they informed me there were no reports of "customer complain", as any unhappy customer would do! so I am writting to report I will continue being a customer of Bay Auto zone and I take this report is from a competetive who can't/won't beat Bay Auto Zone's prices and this is their way of dealing with it!

One happy customer of Bay Auto Zone!

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership, and had an extremely pleasant experience. I had been apprehensive about buying a used car at first, but Bay Auto Zone made it very easy. I researched this dealership, as well as others in the Greater Toronto area, as well as talking to people who had purchased used cars from them.

In my opinion, what differentiates a great dealership and a good dealership is the dealer’s knowledge of cars. You would be hard pressed to find any dealer that knows more about the cars that they sell than the folks at Bay Auto Zone.

As for the complaint above, if you’re ever in doubt about a dealership, the best place to look is the OMVIC site. If you check with them, you’ll find that Bay Auto Zone doesn’t have any complaints on file, which makes this complaint more likely to be from a competitor than an actual customer.

I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Bay Auto Zone, and will definitely purchase my next vehicle from them.

Bay Auto Zone people are perfect scam artists. The only thing that diffrentiate them from other thiefs is their good knowledge of cars which makes them porfessional only at convincing you that you are buying a great car when you are not. I bought a 2008 car from them recently and had nothing but problems since I got it. Car has been in an accident and I was told it was repaired properly only to discover a broken headlight, a mis-aligned bumper, paint falling off as well as other issues. At the time I bought the car I was convinced they were good honest/friendly people only to doscover after that this was a show that is done with every customer until they get your money. I am glad I never referred anyone I know to them.

I bought a BMW 530 from these idiots, differential was gone in 3 weeks and the warranty they sold me refused to cover the cost and i had to pay from my pocket...the list of things they were suppose to fix prior to purchase were never fixed and they were just interested in me signing the papers, they are CON artists once i picked up the car the alignment was never fixed and they kept saying that the tire needs to be balanced which they did 3 times and still not fixed i have changed the tires and no luck, dont ever sign anypapers dont matter where you buy the car from but whatever you do dont buy from BAY AUTO ZONE !

I was a little concerned about this dealership initially, but I ended up having a very good experience. I dealt with Hamid - he is the tall, Persian guy to the left of the entrance. He initially made it a little difficult because he wanted a deposit before I had taken the car out for a test drive but, after he realized that I was a serious buyer, he relented. I drafted up some conditions of the sale based on our discussions and he signed it - it split the cost if the pre-purchase inspection showed any required repairs - among some other things. Look, he was honest, straighforward and negotiated hard but in good faith. Can you ask for anything else?
I just got the car and no problems so far.

I just about bought a bmw 5series from Bay Auto Zone last year (2012). I have to say the only thing that concerned me right off the start was the deposit to test drive? However, upon inspection of the car, (from Quebec) many issues became apparent. I found the hood, both bumpers, windshield and even the entire Heads Up Display module had been replaced (on an quoted "accident free" car). The two telltales were that the BMW hood roundel had not been replaced properly and was raised off the hood by the cheap adhesive strip used. Second, I actually found masking tape on various parts of the bumpers & around the engine bay proving the respray @ minimum and total replacement due to accident @ the worst case. Moreover, with the imperfect hood gapping, I suspected severe front end collision. Given the extensive car & dealership research I have completed since last summer, Bay Auto Zone & associated dealer types should be avoided. Especially, if you are in the market for an electrically complex German auto/import, go for a certified series, more than worth the few extra K's in the long run.

They required a deposit for test drive and not willing to give back the refund. Making lots of excuses to make you to buy the car. Extremely bad service and please do not buy anything from this dealership. Better to give that 1000 deposit to the poor than giving it to the ###s there.

I love my 535xi BMW I purchased from Brian. I shopped around and he knew I would be back. They have immaculate cars
and are confident with what they are selling you.

I recently purchased 2 cars from Bay Auto Zone. A 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK350 and a 2006 BMW 750i Brian was fantastic as a salesman. Never pressured me into anything, told me the differences about the various cars and had everything taken care of quickly and professionally.

I don't understand where all the negative reviews are coming from. Any concerns about roll-backs can be alleviated with a CarProof report which they give with every purchase. If anything is suspicious, it will be reported in the CarProof.

Both cars were in immaculate shape and were well taken care of and drive perfectly. Typically, with older cars on the high end scale, you will need a warranty. Purchasing a used car without one is risky because one major repair cost is usually the cost of the warranty. Plus, they warranty packages they have are very flexible and in some cases, if you don't submit a claim, you can renew it after it expires for a very cheap price.

I had a great experience with Bay Auto Zone.

The purchase experience I had with my 2011 BMW X5 35d was awesome! Local car from BMW Mississauga. I traded in my 2010 Land Rover LR4 and they gave me the most value for my car then any other dealer. I dealt with Brian, who is great at his job. He is a salesman, but is very knowledgeable and does not pressure you too much. I felt very comfortable at Bay Auto Zone and browsed there large collection of premium cars before finding the one I wanted. Would definitely go back for another purchase. Ask for Brian... Cheers!

My bf and I went to check out a 2008 Acura TL Type S. We were advised to leave a $500 deposit for a test drive which will be returned to us if it did not perform as promised. All my bf's personal information were then collected and the salesman, Peter, proceeded to fill out an application for a loan assuming we have already agreed to purchase the car. Before heading out to test drive the vehicle, I asked Peter once again if our deposit will be returned if we didn't like the car. Peter smugly replied he was not after my $500.

After test driving the vehicle and giving it a thorough inspection, we had a few concerns. The main reasons being, the engine seemed a little weak and the trunk was not flushed with the car. It seemed as if it was improperly fixed or replaced. Peter convinced us everything is just a minor problem and that he will have the trunk adjusted by tomorrow. To "put things into perspective" for us, he said we're only spending $15, 000 on a used car, as long as it drives good we shouldn't be too concerned with the cosmetic of the car.

We made plans to come back the next day to check the car after the trunk adjustment. That night, we test drove another 2008 Acura TL Type S from a private sale and the performance differed greatly. My bf went back to Bay Auto Zone the next afternoon and told Peter we will not go ahead with the purchase of the vehicle because we were not content with the performance and the body. Peter was obviously disappointed as he had already sent the car in to the shop. He refused to return the deposit and after some arguments, he said he will reimburse us the difference to account for the cost to fix the trunk. My bf told Peter he would have to fix the trunk regardless if he wants to sell the car. As things escalated, my bf said $500 is not very much money and they can keep it if they want and he left. Peter said $500 is nothing to him as well, it's just pennies on the Porsche. My bf left the dealership and as he was sitting in his car, Peter came up out with his manager and returned the full $500.

Peter was right, $500 is not very much money. However, I refuse to pay for something I did not purchase or agree to, it's just the principle of things. Why would I pay $500 to test drive a car? And if the car was as good as Peter said it was, why is he so hesitant to let me check out other cars before getting back to him? Peter used an extremely aggressive sales tactic which obviously backfired on him because in the end, he lost time and money. Aside from the car situation, I was extremely annoyed of his attitude and smug comments about money.

This company does import cars from Quebec as they can hide factual information. I have a friend who's father owned and operated AutoPark Burlington (location now closed) and he informed me that 80% of their cars have been in an accident, some with rebuilt titles. They would even import cars from the States, send to Quebec and once everything was cleared, welcome to Ontario like new.

i have dealt with Bay Auto Zone, they tried to sell me on a vehicle and surprise surprise the report showed Quebec. Right away I inspected the vehicle more thoroughly only to find some ceramic type of material near the engine bay. I am no mechanic but that definitely did not belong there as I had the same car prior although it was totalled in an accident and I came to buy a new one. Furthermore when I test drove the car, it seemed to have a serious problem with the steering. Clutch was definitely not OEM and seemed to be worn.

Based on my experience, I would steer away from this dealership.

Fun fact, the sales rep I dealt with actually made a positive post a few comments above. Won't say the name, but it goes to show how far dealerships go to cover their tracks.

I purchased my BMW from Bay Auto. They were very eager to make the sale...but once the cash was received they were very reluctant to answer any calls or assist with car issues. Provided a claim for a battery replacement to them which they agreed to pay and still waiting for the cheque 8 months later. There answer was for me to contact my salesperson who now works for another company...really. ..won't buy car number 2 from them...STAY AWAY.

In late 2016 I purchased a high end German sports vehicle from Bay Auto. I agree with the above statement(s), that the salesman Brian is actually writing a positive statement on the reviews of the" Bay Auto" forum. I also noticed he has attempted to discredit these complaints by including a few silly comments about "watches". It's pathetic and easy to detect actually...here's the truth... They are salesman but they have less rules that bind them, whereby they can lie, which they did, putting cheap parts on high end cars, which they also did, or asking for heafty deposits without a test drive, also...you guessed it, they did. They will lie cheat and steal from you, as they have and will always do. They are not to be trusted for a moment. The owner Banya or any of the salesman! If you want used, then purchase from an accredited dealership, the exact opposite of this place! It's all a scam! In terms of complaints do your research, meet in person, trust your gut, not your eyes.
