Beaurena and owner, Paul Cressaty were engaged to do our backyard deck renovations. . In June 2018 he started our old deck demolition and new deck installation. He constantly asked for money upfront, he showed up sporadically or had kids come and work for him. He was hardly ever there and he never listened when he was there. He botched up a job because he didn't follow my instructions. In July the job was still unfinished and he complained the weather was too hot to work. Then he left without finishing his obligation in the contract. He never installed a railing on our deck, leaving it a danger for my family. A huge boulder was supposed to be removed from out backyard, lights installed, finishing touches done. Later he couldn't be reached by phone after several attempts were made. I found out later he went through bankruptcy and at the time he was working for us he was not RBQ licensed. I have all the photos of his job as proof. But I later had to finish his work myself. Never took him to court, though. Can't get blood from a stone, right? I would like people to know this person for what he is, and not be taken for a ride as we were. I'm more annoyed by the fact that he retorted to my Yellow Pages review, by calling me crooked. Since two years have passed I just want my complaint to be seen as a warning to others. I am not expecting monetary reimbursement. I had no choice but to fix the botched job myself and bring it back to the level I had originally intended. Part of that job was done by another company and several thousand dollars were necessary to finish the job Beaurena left incomplete. The rock removal alone was close to one thousand dollars.

Take him to small claims court...there are no fees, except registration fee, which is not much I believe...any claim under $15,000.

I almost used the same Contractor, but didn't like his attitude.

I hired Beaurena twice (2017/2020). The first time everything went fine which is why I hired them a second time to extend the deck they had built. This time though, they requested for final payment even if job wasn't done (missing caps for rail posts, rail post wrongly positioned, etc.) claiming that they would be back for finishing touches when they would receive the parts. They never came back to finish the job.
