Caution: BVM advertising
Caution: BVM does not care if they are hurting your business with their high price ads. I’ve not seen any ROI, because no one reads magazines anymore. My advertising dollars would have been better spent utilizing Social Media. We are going out of business and BVM wants to continue running our ad. What a waste. So disappointed. A decent company would work with the advertising business and not demand you keep advertising with them.
Beware of Best Version Media: A Deceitful and Dishonest Company
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Best Version Media. I mean, don't get me wrong, I signed up with them thinking they were gonna help me out with my marketing needs. But boy, was I wrong.
First off, I gotta warn y'all to be real careful with what your local rep tells you. I mean, I had everything written down and it still didn't match up with what I got. And get this, I'm stuck with them for another 30+ months 'cause I signed a 36 month contract. Ain't that just peachy?
Now, I ain't one to go around bad-mouthing folks, but I gotta say, Kathy Christian is one deceitful, dishonest, and straight-up liar. I got a piece of paper from her with all the features and a price, and I signed the contract thinking it was all included. But guess what? I'm paying the price she wrote down, but none of the features written. And to top it all off, she tells me the deadline is the 5th of each month, but her art designer David Wood keeps telling me different deadline dates each month. What a mess!
Speaking of David Wood, that guy is just plain terrible. I had to hire an outside ad designer 'cause his work was just not up to par. I mean, come on, man!
So, listen up, y'all. I don't want any new business owners to fall for this dishonest company. Stay away from Best Version Media, unless you wanna end up like me - stuck with a bad deal and no way out.
Review: Best Version Media - A Disappointing Community Magazine for Advertisers
I recently came across Best Version Media, a local magazine that claims to be a community publication with high readership due to its local content. However, after reading through a few issues, I can see why this magazine has had three different owners in three years.
To put it bluntly, this magazine is full of advertorials and a generic recipe. The cover story usually highlights one family in the community, which is often one of the advertisers. It's clear that the only people who actually read and display this magazine on their coffee tables are the advertisers themselves.
I understand that branding campaigns can be difficult to track and building relationships with high-end neighborhoods takes time, but this isn't the way to do it. If the magazine is just being thrown away, it's not reaching the intended audience.
One thing to be cautious of is the 3-year term that advertisers can be roped into without realizing it. I spoke to a few other advertisers who were auto-renewed for another three years without their knowledge.
Overall, I would not recommend advertising with Best Version Media. The content is lackluster and the readership is questionable. It's better to invest your advertising dollars elsewhere.
Unprofessional and Disrespectful Behavior by Best Version Media Sales Rep
We had a 3 year contract with Best Version Media, but unfortunately, we only received 2 leads during that time. We decided to cancel our contract, and although we were offered many options to continue month to month, we declined. However, our sales rep in Colorado Springs charged us for another month without our consent. When we called BVM to request a refund, we were given a supervisor's number, but after leaving 3 voicemails, we received no response.
Frustrated, we decided to call our sales rep directly, but instead of helping us, she became defensive and started yelling and swearing at us. She accused us of calling her a liar and claimed that we never cancelled our contract, even though we had told her multiple times over the course of 5 months. To make matters worse, she insulted us by saying that I was only a receptionist and didn't have a college degree.
As an office manager, I have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. It's important for potential customers to be aware of the poor customer service and nasty behavior exhibited by some of BVM's sales reps.
Hello, thank you very much for making your review because I have a phone interview with them today and I was excited for the opportunity but now that I see the 1.9 Stars on the site and low rating on Yelp from all of the complaints and dishonest business practices I'm having second thoughts. I haven't signed any contracts thank God nor will I but I'm definitely going to give them a piece of my mind about their scam business.
Deceptive Business Practices: Our Experience with BestVersionMedia
When we got approached by the Southbury Neighbors Magazine, we thought it was a great idea. They explained their target audience, and we were optimistic. We asked about the length of the agreement, which included an expert column and advertising. We remember hearing we had a one-year exclusive and the first right to renew after the first year. We thought it was a good deal, so we signed up.
However, 15 months later, we found out that we had a 3-year agreement with no way out! In the first 15 months, we spent over $10K in sponsorship and advertising, but we didn't get any leads. Not a single one! We asked to be released from the agreement, but they refused. We were stuck, and we felt deceived.
When we talked to people in our town about the magazine, they laughed and said, "You mean the magazine that goes straight to the trash?" We were embarrassed and disappointed. We felt like we had been duped. Shame on us for not sending the agreement to a lawyer to review.
We would never recommend doing business with BestVersionMedia. They have no accountability towards results, and they are con people. We feel like we wasted our money and our time. We learned our lesson, and we hope others can learn from our mistake. Don't trust BestVersionMedia!
Great Advertising Experience with Best Version Media's Cane Bay Living Magazine
We've been advertising with Best Version Media's Cane Bay Living for the past 4 years and it's been a great experience for us. The magazine is very popular in our community and it's been a great way for us to reach our target audience. We've been able to contribute pet articles to the magazine which has helped us establish our credibility in the community. The support we've received from the magazine has been amazing. Teri and Mark Lloyd have been with us from the beginning and they've been very helpful. We stay in touch with them regularly and they've always been there for us. We started advertising with them when we were just starting out and our business has grown tremendously since then. A large percentage of our clients come from the advertising and articles in Cane Bay Living. We're able to sign up 95% of the clients who contact us through the magazine, which is the same percentage as our client referrals. This is much better than the 50% sign up rate we get from the internet (website, Facebook, etc.). Our clientele has grown significantly because of this magazine and the amazing support we've received from Teri and Mark Lloyd.
Beware of Best Version Media: Shady Advertising Practices and Harassment
I wouldn't recommend dealing with Best Version Media. I met one of their employees early last year and they told me about their advertising services, but I didn't sign anything. However, a year later, I received a call from them saying that we had signed a contract for advertising. I told them that I didn't sign anything and that we weren't interested in advertising with them. But they kept calling and harassing me about it.
Then, this morning, I received an email from them saying that they had my card and that I had signed a contract with them last May. But when I called the number on the card, the lady who answered said that I wasn't the owner of the business. I'm so confused about what's going on. And now they're threatening to report me for something that I didn't even do. Who are they going to report me to? The advertising police?
I sent them an email back telling them to stop harassing me or I would call the police. What kind of company has a contract for advertising signed and then waits a year to implement it? It's so crazy and shady. I would definitely watch out for this company and their dealings.
Beware of This Magazine Publisher: A Scam That Preys on Small Business Owners
I used to own a small salon and things were not going well for me due to the poor economy. One day, I received a call from a magazine publisher who promised to help me with my business by marketing it in their magazine. I was excited and thought that this could be the solution to my problems. However, less than a year later, I lost my business and had to work as an employee for another company. I didn't gain a single customer from the magazine, but I still had to pay my contract. It was a nightmare because they are a scam that preys on people's money. They continue to withdraw money from my bank account to advertise a company that I no longer own. It's so stressful to lose a business that I put all my heart into for 10 years, and still, someone is taking advantage of a contract from it.
To make matters worse, my publisher told me that I just need to find a rich husband. I was shocked and disgusted by their unprofessionalism. This shows the low standards and lack of integrity of this company. I strongly advise against doing business with them. Advertising on Google, for example, is cheaper and much more productive. I know that I will have to continue paying my fees for another 4 months, but I hope that no one else falls for their scam. I hope that people read reviews like this one before making any decisions.
Establish Trust and Build Your Brand with Best Version Media's Community Magazines
Best Version Media ain't your typical advertising tool, folks. It's a brand builder that targets the high-end neighborhoods. The magazines they publish give local businesses a chance to connect with their desired communities. Best Version Media is a savvy way for businesses to establish trust and rapport with their customers through a family-friendly community magazine. Think about it, who do you do business with? I bet it's people you know and trust. But in today's world, it's tough to even know your neighbors, let alone trust them. That's where neighborhood magazines come in, bringing the community together. And for businesses that understand the power of branding, they too can be part of that circle.
ROI, or return on investment, is a term that's thrown around a lot in marketing. But in today's world, it's not as relevant as it used to be. Back in the day, there were only a few forms of marketing available in a local area, making it easier to monitor and track ROI. But now, we live in a society where there are countless resources available, and recency is often given more credit than what initially sparked our interest.
In my experience working with Best Version Media, I've learned that this style of marketing takes time. It's not about quick wins or instant gratification. It's about building loyalty and long-term relationships within a community. So if you're looking for a way to establish your brand and connect with your desired audience, give Best Version Media a shot. It may take some time, but the payoff is worth it.
Disappointing Experience with Best Version Media: A Review of Their Magazine and Advertising Services
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Best Version Media. I mean, sure, the sales lady was nice and all, but that's about the only good thing I can say. The magazine looks nice, I'll give them that, but who actually reads it? I've asked around my community and nobody seems to even know what I'm talking about. And even if they did, why would they want to read a bunch of bland content that's just written by advertisers? It's basically just junk mail.
And speaking of advertisers, it seems like BVM will accept anyone, regardless of their reputation. I've seen some pretty sketchy businesses in there, like a landscaper who got sued for not finishing a job and a cleaning company that was caught stealing. Not exactly the kind of businesses I want to be associated with.
Plus, the magazine is full of ads and articles about businesses, so it's not like there's a lot of actual content to read. And while the sales presentation was good, it definitely led me to believe that advertising with BVM would change the scope of my business. Spoiler alert: it didn't.
I will say that it's affordable, but that doesn't really matter if nobody sees your ad. In a year of advertising with BVM, only two people said they saw my ad, and they were both friends. Every customer I've had since then hasn't mentioned the magazine at all.
Honestly, I feel kind of stupid for going with BVM in the first place. A fellow business owner in my area is doing really well with a community building program and newsletter, but I thought BVM would have a broader reach. Turns out, that was a mistake.
Best Version Media: A Scam That Hurts Small Businesses
Signing up with Best Version Media was the worst decision I've made as a small business owner. I run a one-man plumbing business in northwest Arkansas. When I met with the sales rep for the area, I was promised lots of new customers, job leads, and a fantastic return on my investment if I advertised in their publication Bentonville Living. I even broke down the numbers for him, letting him know how many leads I would need a month for this advertisement to work for me. I was guaranteed not only would I get what I was asking for but much more. I agreed to a one-year deal but was talked into a two-year deal at a discounted rate.
First, they charged me a full month before the publication was put out with my ad in it. Then I got a copy of my contract and saw it was for three years, not two. This is straight-up fraud and thievery! I'm not sure how they did this, but they did. After a couple of months of zero leads whatsoever, I contacted them with my concerns. They filled me with a bunch of branding BS, saying it takes time, people are seeing it, blah blah blah. They will not provide any proof that they are even distributing these publications, especially to the number of people they promised.
At this point, I am out over $4000 with no return on my investments. Don't be fooled into thinking they care about you, your business, your wellbeing, or your family's wellbeing. They are just lining their pockets while they hurt small businesses. Of course, I do not expect any response from these people other than "you signed a contract" and so on. Trust me when I tell you they are accustomed to ripping off poor, hardworking business owners with no regret.
Sometimes, I literally cannot buy groceries due to having to pay these scam artists every month with no return. They could care less whether they literally put you out of business, can't feed your children, lose your home, etc. As long as they get their money, they are happy. And even at that point, they will threaten to sue you for your remaining balance on your contract.
FYI, the business I am in is in huge demand in this area. I'm not going to say how I know, but I am not the only one that is being severely hurt in my area due to all the false guarantees that come along with the sales pitch. You make a deal with these people, and you are selling your soul. You will absolutely be throwing your money away.
For any of you reading this that are in my situation, I have a question for you. Have they put copies of the publication in your mailbox without paid postage? If so, this is a federal crime punishable up to a $10,000 fine, and I recommend you do as I am and file federal charges against them. They are liars, thieves, con artists, and belong in prison with the rest of them.
I was born and raised here, know a lot of people, and will be sharing my experience with everyone I know in the hope they don't get hurt as we are. I've worked hard for 17 years to reach the point of being a business owner and may lose it all due to this scam. Also, please recognize that as far as these reviews go, if they are positive and mention branding, be assured this is them leaving their own reviews. This is always their excuse for no leads, and others are just happy to be on the cover. Don't be fooled.
Sincerely, Sick To My Stomach Daily.

Stay Away from Best Version Media: A Review of Their 36-Month Advertising Contract
This company, Best Version Media, is not worth your time or money. They require you to sign a 36-month advertising contract, which is a red flag. No one should have to commit to such a long contract, especially if the product is not worth it. A reputable company would not need such a long contract, and you should be able to re-up after one year if the product is worth it.
I made the mistake of signing up with Best Version Media, and it was a total waste of money. I should have known better when they asked me to sign a 36-month contract. I could have spent half the money and gotten better results with Town Money Saver. With Town Money Saver, I was able to reach ten times the audience and get over four times the sales.
If you are looking for a company to advertise with, stay away from Best Version Media. They are not worth your time or money. You will be better off with a company like Town Money Saver, which offers better results at a lower cost. Don't make the same mistake I did and waste your money on Best Version Media.
Best Version Media Ad Fail: No Proof of Ad Running or Results
So, I gotta say, I fell for the pitch from Best Version Media and placed an ad with them for a whole year. But let me tell you, I ain't seen hide nor hair of any proof that my ad has actually run. And to top it off, I haven't gotten a single call or referral from it either. I mean, what gives? I've been trying to get in touch with someone who can give me some answers, but it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Ain't nobody seems to know what's going on or who to talk to. Honestly, I could have spent my money on better local advertising or just saved it altogether. Don't make the same mistake I did, folks.
Stay Away from Best Version Media: A Disappointing Experience
I gotta say, I wouldn't recommend Best Version Media to anyone. I made the mistake of signing a contract with them, and it's been nothing but trouble ever since. First off, I had to deal with two new sales reps in just two months. That's not exactly a confidence-inspiring start, you know? And then, for the next four months, I didn't even have a sales rep at all. That's right, I was just left hanging in the wind.
But that's not even the worst part. When they did finally send me a proof for an ad, they expected me to get back to them with pictures in less than 24 hours. I mean, come on, who has time for that kind of nonsense? And don't even get me started on the salespeople themselves. They promise you the moon and the stars, but when it comes down to it, they don't deliver. It's like they know they've got you locked in by the contract, so they don't even bother trying to keep you happy.
Honestly, I'd say you're better off just putting your money towards something else entirely. Don't make the same mistake I did and get stuck dealing with the headache that is Best Version Media.

Not Worth the Contract: My Experience with Best Version Media
I been with Best Version Media for over a year now, and I gotta say, it's not the best experience. I started with a tiny 1/8 page ad, but soon found out that the magazine wasn't reaching everyone in town. It's just sent out to a certain area or zip code, so if you're trying to target a specific group, this ain't the way to go. And let me tell you, they won't let you out of your contract. They'll threaten you with lawsuits and collection agencies. It's a real pain in the butt. Overall, not a great company to do business with.
Think Twice Before Advertising with Best Version Media: A Disappointing Experience
If you're thinking about advertising with Best Version Media, I'd advise you to think twice. While the idea of a local publication may seem appealing, the reality is that advertising in this book is a waste of money. I've been advertising in three different zones for over six months now, and I've only received two calls. That's a terrible return on investment.
When I tried to cancel my advertising, I was surprised to receive a call from their legal department instead of my sales rep. This made me feel like they were more concerned about protecting themselves than helping me get the results I was looking for.
Overall, I would not recommend Best Version Media to anyone looking to advertise their business. The low performance of their magazine and lack of support from their team make it a poor choice for anyone looking to get their message out to the local community. Save your money and look for other advertising options that will actually deliver results.
Untrustworthy and Unhelpful: My Experience with Best Version Media Advertising
I signed up with Best Version Media for a year of advertising and boy, was I excited! I was sent a copy of the magazine and my advertisement each month, which was really cool. However, when my contract ended, I was still being billed for four months after the fact. I was really confused and didn't know what to do. I mean, I didn't even receive the magazine anymore, so why was I still being charged?
I tried to reach out to the company to get some answers, but they were not very helpful. They fought me every step of the way and refused to reimburse me for the extra charges. I was really disappointed, to say the least. I mean, I thought this was a reputable company, but it seems like they don't really care about their customers.
To make matters worse, the magazine stopped being delivered to my area altogether. I never received another issue after my contract ended, which was really frustrating. I don't know if they ever had a real business in print, but it seems like they don't anymore.
Overall, I would not recommend Best Version Media to anyone. They are not trustworthy and do not care about their customers. If you're looking for a company to advertise with, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Stay Away from Best Version Media: A Disappointing Experience for Small Businesses
I have to say, my experience with Best Version Media (bestversionmedia.com) was not a good one. I was hoping that this publication would help my business, but it turned out to be a total waste of time and money. To make matters worse, the terms of my contract were misrepresented, which made it difficult for me to get out of it "early" - which was really on time.
Then, COVID hit and my business took a huge hit - we're talking a 75% decrease in revenue. Despite this, Best Version Media continued to bill me and even added on late fees. It was clear that they didn't care about my situation or the fact that I couldn't even pay my rent, let alone a bill that I didn't even owe.
I understand that $180 may not seem like a lot to a company like Best Version Media, but for a struggling small business like mine, it was a big hit. It's disappointing to see a company that claims to care about small businesses act so callously. I would definitely recommend staying away from Best Version Media if you're looking for a publication that will actually help your business.
Cautionary Tale: My Frustrating Experience with Best Version Media's Advertising Contract
I recently had an experience with Best Version Media (bestversionmedia.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I was approached by a sales representative who promised me that their publication would be a great way to advertise my business to a local audience. I was hesitant at first, but the rep assured me that I could cancel at any time if I wasn't satisfied with the results.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Despite my best efforts, the ad didn't produce the results I was hoping for. To make matters worse, I had to close my business after only three months of advertising with BMV. I reached out to the company to cancel my contract, but was told that I was obligated to pay the full amount of $1441, even though I no longer had a business to advertise.
I was shocked and frustrated by this response. It felt like extortion to me - how could they expect me to pay for a service I no longer needed or could use? To make matters worse, I was threatened with a lawsuit and collections if I didn't pay up.
Looking back, I wish I had never done business with BMV. While I appreciate the idea of a local publication with local content, I don't think it's worth the risk of signing a contract that could leave me in financial ruin. If you're considering advertising with BMV, I would strongly advise against it. There are plenty of other ways to reach your target audience without putting yourself in such a vulnerable position.
In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering doing business with Best Version Media to think twice before signing a contract. While their publications may seem appealing, the risks and potential consequences of signing a contract with them are simply not worth it. Save yourself the headache and look for other advertising options instead.
Best Version Media: A Disappointing Company with Poor Customer Service and Transparency
Best Version Media is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. I have been working with them for 2 months now and have not received any response from them. It is very frustrating to invest your hard-earned money in a company that does not deliver on their promises. We tried to cancel our contract, but we were told that it was a 1-year contract. However, we were never shown pages 2 and 3 of the contract, and none of the terms of the contract were even discussed with us. This is a clear indication that they are not transparent in their dealings.
It is very disappointing that a company would treat its customers this way. Misplaced trust is a hard pill to swallow, especially when you have invested your money in a company that does not deliver. One of the biggest mistakes a company can make is to not even try to find a compromise for a mutually beneficial outcome. It is clear that Best Version Media does not care about their customers.
I have been in business for 40 years, and I have never been sold a larger bill of goods or been treated so poorly when I showed concern for my advertising investment. It is very frustrating to work with a company that does not value its customers. I would advise anyone who is considering advertising with Best Version Media to run fast. This company does not care about its customers, and it is a total waste of money.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Best Version Media to anyone. They are small business frauds who do not deliver on their promises. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service is a clear indication that they do not value their customers. If you are looking for a company that will deliver on its promises and value its customers, then Best Version Media is not the company for you.
Pushy Sales Tactics and Unwanted Ads: My Experience with Best Version Media
This company, Best Version Media, is not a good choice for advertising. The salesman who approached me was very pushy and didn't explain that I was signing a contract. He just said to sign if I was interested a little bit. But then, a contract popped up and he said I was advertising with them. I was not happy about this, especially since the magazine had not even been published yet. I asked them not to include me in the magazine or charge me multiple times, but they said I had already signed a contract.
I told them not to run any ads for me, but then someone I had never spoken to before sent me an ad they had made up for me. This ad didn't even represent what I do and was attached to an old company I used to work for. I asked them multiple times to stop contacting me, but they didn't listen.
I had to take drastic measures and change my debit card to prevent them from taking my money. I even consulted with an attorney to make sure I was protected. If they try to take my money or run an ad I don't want, they are going to be in big trouble.
Overall, I would not recommend Best Version Media for advertising. Their sales tactics are pushy and they don't listen to their customers. If you want to advertise, find a company that is more reputable and trustworthy.
This company preys on small business owners and promises false results. We are locked in for about $612.00 month for 36 months. This over $22K...gone...wasted marketing funds. There is absolutely NO ROI! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
