Budget Rental Car USA review: Credit card charge in disagreement with reservation & agreement contract

The initial rental reservation was made in the name of Rosely Pavanelli Rodrigues at the budget.com site but due to the declination of her credit card for international expenses, the local agent made a new one in the name of Armando Rodrigues Filho, my husband, when we were picking up the car at the airport. Before to proceed to the reservation changes, it was confirmed that no additional costs and/or different prices would apply to the new booking. Please refer to the budget´s email below with the estimated total amount of US$ 1,093.74.

Unfortunately for my surprise, the amount charged in the agreement and at my husband´s Mastercard ended #3264 was US$ 1,689.10 which is not in accordance with the rental reservation provided by Budget. The rental agreement number referred is #[protected] and a copy is also attached.

It is important to mentioned that a previous claim was register by phone at the Customer Service 1800 under the case complaint code #[protected] since the GPS Navigation and Internet access were not working properly because the charger and cable provided by the MIA Agency was not the original ones for the GPS tablet. Attached follows some pictures displaying such disclaimer as well as registering the time expended by the driver looking for safety places to try to charge the equipment.

I am a regular customer from Budget and I was completely chocked with the lack of commitment and responsibility from the agency´s employees since the driver got lost many times during the night. Miami is a very spread out city and we also travelled to other cities increasing our exposure to security issues and unable us to call 24-hour roadside assistance/emergency because the tablet was not charged to complete phone calls.

Due to the facts reported above, I am requesting the review of the rental agreement in order to reflect the correct amounts of US$ 1,028.60 discounted the GPS Navigation, Internet access and any other difference between the reservation confirmation and the customer agreement issued on May 06, 2022. It is also expected that SunPass charges will be displayed as a separate and specific debit at my credit card.

My last comment: as a regular Budget´s customer with several rentals in USA and I never received a vehicle with so many breakdowns (like hits all over the right side) which took me time and care to register all claims under the MVA [protected].

I am looking forward to receive a proper return regarding all claims listed above.
