Subscription
I signed up to C- Date on 11/02/2021 via the website and I was charged £9.90 for a one month membership. I cancelled my membership and subscription on the same day (11th Feb) as the website was clearly fake. I then deleted my account. I then cancelled via PayPal and via my bank.
On 22/04/2021 I received a letter in the post from CMS global collection services advising me that I owe Euro 80.87 by 27/04/21. This letter has then gone on to threaten further legal action and baliffs if the amount is not paid. This letter states my reference number is GB-2021-03-11-[protected]-CDATE-DN.
No further money has been taken other than the £9.90 when I registered and I will not be paying the Euro 80.87 as per the CMS letter.
Messages
I am not receiving any messages on my account. I contacted customer services five days ago but no reply. I know people are sending them because I have checked.
Desired outcome: Service resumption

Desired outcome: Stop automatic subscription
Premium trial Cancelled and Debt collection Threats
ON the 03/03/2021 I sign up to C-Date.co.uk out of curiosity. I paid for the trial 1 month via PayPal. I instantly regretted it and tried to cancel my subscription, which I thought I had.
I also logged into PayPal and cancelled the subscription there as I had a suspicion this was a scam.
Today (04/04/2021) I got a threatening email from them demanding 1 months membership (£39.60) + £10 admin fee.
If I don't pay they are threatening to pass on the debt to bailiffs and honestly I am worried.
I tried to log into the account today and see the settings etc, however all I can see is a payment page demanding the above amount.
I could do with some help on this one.
Desired outcome: Have the amount written off, and have my account with C-Date be deleted
Cancelled but keep demanding money
I cancelled my recurring payment on PayPal to this site. I tried to call and email them time and time again because there cancellations process calls for a fax to be sent to them! Who has a fax machine!
Desired outcome: Leave me alone and stop asking for money
C-Date Subscription
The cancellation process and the service offered by C-Date is appalling.
I checked past emails for cancellation instructions and the first correspondence I received, from C-Date, was an email demanding further payment, threatening debt collection and court action. I tried to cancel through the cancellation (tab) process on the website, before this, when I had access, to the site and it loaded to a blank page, so had NO means of cancellation before the first email demands. Why should I need to contact the customer services for a failing system?
After the initial email saying they would pass my details to a debt collector, I researched online and found hundreds/thousands of similar reviews and this has raised a further alarm with me.
I will NOT be comfortable to make any form of payment to them, it would lead to further issues, threats, like I have seen in your reviews online and also my direct first hand experience of course.
I have contacted, their bank, Luxembourg police, PayPal, Apple App Store, Google Play store, Action-fraud, your web hosting service and DNS provider, amongst other professional bodies in relation. All this information is available online!
Membership cancellation
I joined the site 2 years ago, Despite continually cancelling they still take money from my credit card. Impossible to get in touch with any one now to resolve this. It included a premium membership and despite following their instructions and being told it was cancelled they fraudulently take fees.
Desired outcome: Refund
Cancellation
Hi I've cancelled from your website and still continue to take out money? I've phoned the bank now to cancel this as I already have! My email is [protected]@aol.co.uk
Desired outcome: Stop taking payments
Subscription
It is impossible to cancel the membership, and they are now threatening legal action, I just want to cancel and am happy to give required notice but it's impossible it's like a never ending contact.
I have cancelled my payments from PayPal but within a day have started receiving nasty demanding emails quoting sections from a so called contact that I a legal bond to now apparently.
This can't be right they must by law have a proven appropriate cancellation method for users who change their minds or find themselfs in different circumstances.
Desired outcome: Termination of my subscription
Premier Membership Cancelation they wont cancel and took my money
I contacted them on the 3rd of Feb to cancel this account and not to take further money from my account I have not used their service nor I will ever will and since this havent
I have had a email fro them stating they repield to my email and that i was to submit a cancrlation on their account howver i do not have any option on that account to do this and its unclickable no option etc

C-Date are refusing to refund me my money for a product / service i am not using and gave them plenty notice to cancel

Martin
Desired outcome: Refund and closure of account

I have an account on c-date. Username: Darisex Contact ID: Y2HRVE43 and I want to unsubscribe the premiership and delete account
Illegal Charges
I had registered for c-date for a month. It was never indicated that this was a service that will register me by default and will keep charging me. However a month later they charged me for another month of service (which i had stopped using long back due to terrible services) without any prior intimation. Most recurring charges (like any apple bill) also ask but they never did. I would like to see what evidence do they have if at all. And now they have send me a legal notice to pay Euros 79. 24 by their collection services company.
Date : Feb 2021
Desired outcome: Cancellation of the charges of Euros 79.24 and no further contact from CMS/ or any representative of CDate
They charged £192 when the website said £7
They charged a lot more than what they say, £192 instead of £7.
Then to unsubscribe we need to fill a form and send back. What?!
This is a pure SCAM.

Want to cancel subscription
I want to cancel my subscription. They make it very difficult to end the subscription where you have to fax details to an address in Luxembourg. I've only been on the site for just over a week but I have found the site to be full of fake profiles and people looking to take advantage. I wish to cancel my subscription to stop them from charging me money for another months worth of membership.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of membership
Their website
Hi I'm wishing to make a complaint about a dating site I joined last November. I paid £9.98 to join for one month.
After a month I decided to cancel my membership and wrote them a letter. They said that they were based in Luxembourg.
After a month they said I owe them £39.98 . I told them I cancelled my membership. Today I received a email saying that I owe them £54.98. And if it's not paid soon. Debit collectors will be sent round.
Please can you investigate
Regards Alan Mccormick
Desired outcome: Investigate this please
I'm in the same situation are we able to ignore or forced to pay?
Dating scam
I never ever authorised membership but simply used my credit card as verification of my age YET they took £119.70.
I have never had this refunded even though I requested they do that immediately and cancel all subscriptions.
However several months later they yet again attempted to charge me 134.80€ however my BANK did not authorize it as they tagged it as fraud.
Now I have been sent me a CMS collection services letter demanding 190.93€
I googled the CMS company and it immediately comes up with C-Date pages stating that they are scammers and fraudsters. Please check for yourself...

Desired outcome: Cancel this CMS bill and ensure C-Date stop scamming others...
what are going to do because I am in the same situation I have a debt collector coming do we have to pay them?
Unexpected payment request from collection company.
In September 2020 I signed up to C date and paid for a reduced first month special offer subscription. I then notice the following month an unauthorised payment full amount had be taken, at this point I looked on there site to see if I could cancel subscription and there was no obvious options available. so I emailed them telling them that I would be cancelling the subscription and any future payments. I had no reply, the next contact was a demand via email saying that my subscription was due, I replied to this explaining the email I had sent cancelling any subscription.
Thinking this was all now sorted I get a letter from CMS global collection services requesting a payment including charges 77.65 euro.
I strongly believe that this is totally unfair, I signed up in good faith at a reduced monthly payment for the first month, I did not authorise or request to extend my subscription beyond this first month, I was charged for a second month which I felt was unfair but ok it is what it is, so I informed C date that I would be cancelling the subscription and any future payments of which they didn't even reply to as there site didn't appear to have the option of cancelling.
I would like in the light of the above facts the debt collection notice to be cancelled and no further requests for payments in the future.
Desired outcome: I would like in the light of the above facts the debt collection notice to be cancelled and no further requests for payments in the future.
I forgot to include time scales.
Joined site and paid £9.90 date 24/10/20
2nd unexpected payment taken 24/11/20
Cancellation email sent 25/11/20
I can not get on there site any longer but I believe the cancellation period was 14 days,
the next payment would have been due on the 24/12/20 which equates to over 14 days notice.
I have contacted Interdate directly by email explaining that I had cancelled the membership by email and included a screen shot of the email that I had sent and the date that I had sent said email. I have attached there reply but basically due to there incompetence they say that I should contact the debt collection company as there is nothing they can do? Surely if they can instruct a debt collection agency to collect a debt once this has been proved to be an error they can cancel this collection? Would someone please look at this and advise me accordingly as soon as possible. Thank you.
I have contacted Interdate with the details of the email sent and a screen shot of said email and there reply is this attached. Basically due to there incompetence they have put it in the hands of a debt collection agency. Would someone please tell me how to resolve this at your earliest opportunity.
Hi! I am having the same problem! i paid for a month and wasn't aware that it would be a on going monthly thing! I have had all the exact emails you have! I spent a good amount of time requesting refunds and confirming my cancellation but they just ignored it! I heard from them almost 2 months later and that was not in respond to any of my emails that was ignored! It was a final reminder or they will pass me on to there debt collection company. It was only a month later when i found online a cancellation form which i filled out and sent to them that they started to respond to me! Saying they had already responded to my emails confirming my cancellation ( which they didn't ) and that i owe them money because i didn't cancel with in 7 days before the renewal, even though in there terms and condition it says 14 days . They also sent me a letter from CMS Global debt collection which you can tell is fake anyway, I am pretty sure that C - dating and CMS Global are they same people lol. Think about it why would they get a debt collection service on to me that are in the same country ? I am 99% sure they cant do anything to you so you will be fine! All these reviews have the same about getting letters from CMS debt collection but none of them are about any action that they have taken ? Why do you think that is ? quite simply because they do not exists. I recommend changing all your details so they cant keep annoying you! I have changed my bank details and am going to also change my emails address and phone. But do not stress to much dude, these people are crooks and nothing more and they cant do anything.
C-date
Got the same letter never had a date site were you cannot end your contract or you never knew about the contract till after the free cancellation of 14 days funny that ehh its a way of them making money out of people for there own personal gain and carelessness for others other than themselves not fair really but there saying its legit ye for there back pocket and no one else bet they would leave people to die for money knowing them or uncheerfully give gifts
Been resolved realised it isn't a scam i need to take responsibility for my own actions i should read terms and conditions before i start subscriptions.
It's a scam. You can not cancel in any reasonable way. The process they request is unreasonable and takes longer than the allowed free test forcing the full payment. Any European court would uphold your complaint
