Reliance Home Comfort - Protection Plan Service

My AC was not working properly so I called Reliance to make an appointment for a call-out on May 22nd, 2021, and I was told the earliest appointment they could offer is June 14th. I was told that I would be placed on a waiting list in case a cancellation appointment became available. I was so shocked to hear that I would have to wait 3 weeks before they could send a technician out. I have paid into the protection plan for over 10 years for a service that I would need to wait three weeks for. Today, I decided to call and see if other companies had appointments available and sure enough they do. I called two companies and both companies could have a person out within 24 hours. This is so frustrating as both of these companies also offer protection plans. I should not have to wait 3 weeks for a technician to come to repair my AC when I pay into a plan!

Desired outcome: To have a technician sent out to complete the repair or to be reinbursed for another copy to complete the repair

Reliance Home Comfort - Buy out an old water heater

Hi,

11 years ago, one of the door to door sales people tricked my Mom to sign me up for their plan to switch my water heater. at the time I was stupid and let go as the price was about $15. Now after 11 years the price has doubled to $35 and I called today to buy out he water heater and they want me to pay $800, That is the biggest scam there is as I am sure an 11 year old water heater is not even $100. You can buy brand new units from Lowes/Home Depot for $799.

This is a scam, I am not sure why Reliance wants to treat their customers like this. I have searched online and in many cases the customer was offered to buy the contract at $40 given it is over 10 years old and I never signed the contract, they tricked my mom into this.

This is very bad business and taking advantage of people

Desired outcome: They let me buy out he unit for a reasonable price. and not this inflated price
