I have a company Calvary Portfollio calling me at work about a debt I have no idea about. I told them do not ever attampt to call me at work again. Why or how can these jerks have the gaul to call me at my work place? This should not be. What can I do to stop this from happening again. If I warn them not do call me at work will this stop? Do they have the legal right to do so? It seems they should not be allowed to disrupt me at my work place and make me look bad.

I don't know if this is happening to other people or not. A man showed up at a relatives house at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night. (The same man came to their house about 2 months ago.) He "appeared" to be nice. Flashed a paper in front of her and she saw what she THOUGHT might be some kind of a seal on it, perhaps saying "sheriff". He flashed it so fast she was not sure, and was intimidated in a "nice way" to give him my phone number and the area where I am staying at. He then called me at 10:30 p.m and left a message saying:
"I am an officer of the (State) District Court. I am the person in charge of bringing out a copy of the paperwork whenever it is filed." (AT 10 O'CLOCK ON A SATURDAY NIGHT?) I won't go into all he said, but he said three times that paperwork had been filed.
I looked it up to see what had been filed against me and couldn't find anything. I've called 3 court clerk offices, and a sheriff's office, and they couldn't find anything or knew who the man was. I got a credit report and found:

Cavalry Portfolio is checking my credit report every 2 months and has been for several months now.

Is it possible that this bottom feeder is now actually sending people out to peoples houses for whatever reason, before a court case has even been filed? Also, this so called "officer of the district court" said he would MEET ME SOMEWHERE" Even the people I spoke with at the court clerk's offices and sheriff's department thought this was wierd, and advised me not to meet him. WHO IS THIS GUY?
