I was sold a kitten that looked healthy on the outside but was very ill just a few weeks into my purchase . The kitten started showing signs of respiratory infections and at around 4 months started getting visible blisters on its little mouth. Also the eyes were severely runny which is Not normal even for a Persian breed as these breeders will lead you to believe. Long story short it turns out that this breeder sold me a kitten with the Feline Herpes Virus which is not curable! Also there was No way for me to tell that this kitten was infected because it takes weeks if not months for the Virus to show itself!
Buyers Beware!
I contacted the Breeder about the situation and she refused to refund any of the money I gave her for the kitten
Also she claimes that her cats are registered but I called the CFA and she does Not exist in their files!
Her Name is Angelique Whicker
Her Cattery name is Cameo Cattery
She does have beautiful kittens for sale but Beware! Her Cattery is Infected with the Feline Herpes Virus known as FHV-1
Also when I confronted her with this she tried to tell me that the kitten must be Unhappy in its new home so that's why it got the Virus! Wrong! This Virus is Only Contracted from an Infected Cat!
Educate Yourselves People and If you are looking to buy a dream kitten Do Your Research on the Cattery!
There are many liars, backyard breeders and fraudulent cattery's selling sick animals to unsuspecting buyers like me and you!

Dear Kat Luuver, I'm so sorry for you and the kitty. I had a terrible experience with a dog breeder once but I won't go into that. How I dealt with it was when I called the breeder to tell him that the puppy would need a $1, 500.00 surgery to fix her knees he said to give her back and he'd give me another one. I said I've already fallen in love with her, I just want my money back to put towards the surgery. I asked him if he knew that Vermont had a doggy lemon law? (I had no idea if we did but heard of some other state that does) He said he didn't know we had that, , long story shorter, he gave me back my money, in $100.00 increments, AFTER I sent him the estimate for the surgery.
If you are able to save the kitty and give it meds, or if you do have vet bills, you can always threaten small claims court if she won't give you money back. But if the kitty is going to be a carrier of this virus you might want to put it down, unfortunately.
If your threats to her don't work and you don't want to do small claims court I would tell her you are going to call every Veterinarian in your county AND putting up flyers in every pet food store that she's selling sick cats AND reporting her to the CFA. They certainly would want to know that a Cattery is falsely selling cats, throw in that she's using bogus forms or something. This might get her attention and give your money back.
Good luck, VTLady

I was contacted by this Syndie Loll saying if I didn't refund her money for this kitten she would slander my company and that she loved and wouldn't give up her cat and refused to send any medical records to prove anything was wrong with her cat many times. She has sent me many emails stating lies and I and my vet can't trust any thing she says because she refuses to give us any vet medical records about her cat. I take all of my cats to the vet and my vet will provide papers showing non of my cats have the virus she's claiming or any other illness for that matter. I am one of the few breeders that takes all my animals to the vet for all health care. I don't give shots myself my vet gives them, I don't buy de wormer over the counter I get it from my vet and I make sure every cat is examined by my vet to make sure they are healthy before they go home. I talked to CFA and gave them my cattery number and not sure why they couldn't find it when she called but I am registered and have been for over 5 years. My Lawyer did look into Syndie Loll and found she is in debt and couldn't really afford a $600 cat despite the $300 discount she asked for and I gave her because she claimed she was giving the kitten a loving home and would take good care of her. I wish Syndie would have done her research about FHV before posting this as my vet has made it very clear that its a dormant virus until the cat gets stressed out and then they shed the virus casuing the virus symptoms. When kittens go to a new home with FHV they do show signs of the virus within days because of the stress of leaving mom and going to a strange place. NON of my cats have FHV making it impossible that her cat got FHV from my cattery and I have vet record to prove my vet never found any of my cats to have it. Again I take my animals to the vet for everything unlike most breeders to make sure they are healthy. When Syndie contacted 3 weeks after she had her new kitten to tell me she wasn't using the litter box because and we found it was because she was using a organic litter the kitten hated she told me she took the kitten to the vet then and it was completely healthy. I have received nothing but accusing and nasty emails sense I sold her this kitten all of them with lies. I'm sorry I sent one of my wonderful babies to her low income home where they are clearly not able to keep her in a clean and healthy environment. I will be much more careful in the future and never offer a discount when I'm told they can't pay the full cost of the kitten. I am very sorry for Kat Luuver puppy too. That is exactly why I have my kittens vet checked before I send them home. I had the same problem with a poodle puppy I bought years ago. That was one of the main reasons when I started breeding cats I made sure to always have them checked by my vet before they went home. I hope her puppy is doing well now.
God Bless,
Angelique Whicker

The Herpes Virus many cats have, and it is not that big deal. If you choose to have more then one cat, you need to keep the rest vaccinate. Once in a while they have URI symptoms. Why in God's name would you euthanize for a URI infection every once in a while. I have a Burmese that is 9 year old and perfectly besides a cold once a year! WTF is wrong with you? If you are so unhappy return the kitten and get a refund. Problem solved!

Angelique told me about this complaint and wanted to make sure my Desmond was okay. My baby Desmond was from the same litter as the kitten in question and he has not shown any signs of herpes and I can not believe the lies being told about Angelique Whicker and her Cattery. I was aloud to come every week to visit my kitten until he was old enough to go home and her cats were never sick. They all took turns jumping in my lap to be petted and loved on every time I came over. They all are very sweet, loving and from what I saw very healthy cats. My Desmond is a very loving boy and has been nothing but healthy. I use the same vet that Angelique uses and love them too. I can't believe someone people can be so malicious and after a discount that I didn't get too. My mother is buying a kitten from Angelique this summer because of how awesome my Desmond is. By the way if you love your pet wouldn't you call her by name not be so unattached that you refer to her as my kitten. Seems like she no longer has the cat the way she wrote the review. I asked my vet and she said that about 85% of cats have the FHV and it really doesn't even bother them that often. My Desmond has been check and is 100% healthy to date. He is my life and I would never ask for a refund for the love of my life. As a pet owner you take on the cost of an animal not blame everyone else and try to scam them into paying for it. I would hate to see what would happen if this poor kitten she is claiming she still has, really gets sick or hurt. Poor thing will probably be euthanized. Just sad if you ask me.

This complaint is ridicules, I have two cats from Cameo Cattery and they are perfectly healthy. My vet has told me many times they are the healthiest Persians she has ever seen in her office. When I looked up the symptoms of FHV I didn't even see mouth blisters, that is a human symptom the herpes virus not cat symptom. This poor breeder "Angelique Whicker" works her tail off to make sure she goes above and beyond for her cats and customers I can’t believe anyone would post this I think it must be another breeder trying to get rid of the competition. She allowed me to come to her house ever week to visit my kittens until they were old enough to go home. NEVER did I see a sick cat or kitten. My cats are the love of my life and I thank God Angelique brought Himalayans to AZ. If anyone is concerned about this malicious lie of a post ask to see the Cattery for yourself, Angelique was always welcoming to us when we asked to come visit. I hope Angelique sues the socks off Kat Luuver, I'll testify for her in court and I can bring my vet records showing my cats are healthy.

So we are positive this was a troll that hates breeders. I never sold a cat to Kat and have never sold a cat to anyone in CA. I also take all my cats to the vet to make sure they are healthy. I have vet paperwork to prove this.

Are you people for real. 90% of cats are carriers of herpes. As a breeder you couldn't possibly test all your cats as they wouldn't even be positive unless they were having an outbreak and that's up for debate because once inoculated most test positive. As someone who's bred this many years I'm appalled at your lack of knowledge, Yes it can cause mouth sores in severe cases, I bought a kitten from a cattery I won't out her. But the cat had an eye ulcer( uh news flash) she said her vet said it would probably go away. I never thought FHV. The other two in the litter were fine. Well I bought her at almost 4 months and now she is 11 months almost. I've spent 1200 on her eye alone. Breeders need to step up and do the right thing! The breeder should be so lucky that I have the time to treat all these eye issues. She has a sequestrum in one eye ( atm ) and a permanent anterior senecia in the other. And if her eye doesn't heal the surgery is 2400. If I had a crystal ball she would have gone back and she is lucky I ended up with her because anyone else would have not dealt with this and there is the lemon law and I am entitled to all the money I've spent and I have all medical records. So this does happen and happens when breeders get and have to many litters and cats!
