Company (CANSofttech in Herndon, VA) said my 'test writing' was the best of the lot. They hired me as a proposal writer at $100K annual salary. They issued me a laptop for remote work, but after six days they terminated me. They said they will pay me (something) only after I return the laptop, but they also expressed displeasure with my writing product. Our phone texts go back and forth on paying me on the condition I return the laptop first. HR doesn't even have my banking routing information. They have no intention of paying me the $2300 I am due.
Desired outcome: I need to receive payroll check for the six days that I worked.
