Car Shield / Mepco review: Auto repair costs

I paid almost $5000 into Car Shield for over 4 years and never filed a claim until Jan. 2023. Car Shield admitted my plan would cover Cooling System. My mechanic would not honor Car Shield Plan because of prior problems with them, In this small rural town no other mechanic would I accept so I paid the repair charge of $1018. With Car Shield being worthless to me, I did a stop payment on my payment at my bank and notified Car Shield to stop my membership. Now Car Shield keeps trying to call me, says I owe them money because my bank is not honoring their checks. Repeatedly I told them I no longer want Car Shield, I Quit! Stop trying to get my bank to pay. No longer a customer of Car Shield. They say I have to listen to another person before I am separated from Cas Shield. I did listen to him, completed the conversation yet they say I need to listen again. First time he just tried to keep in in Car Shield. Why can't they just say BYE! They should have reimbursed me for repair costs but I know they wont do that but they keep wanting to charge me monthly fee through my bank.
