CFJ Paving

To be honest, we chose CFJ Paving from the yellow pages (and a few others) and they were the first ones to respond and gave us a fair quote. So we decided to go with them. Good decision!
We had concrete curbs and a sidewalk poured, along with an asphalt driveway.
From the person who estimated the job to the last worker who laid the asphalt, everyone was nice and helpful. The whole process took about 6 weeks or something like that, and we are REALLY pleased with how everything turned out.

On September 17, we paid CFJ Paving Ltd. $10,735.00 for excavation, removing old asphalt, grading, and putting down new asphalt. The job looked amazing when it was finished, and I left a review expressing my satisfaction. However, after a few months, we started noticing some spots on the asphalt. Within a year, during the warranty period, pieces of the asphalt began to lift from the ground, especially when backing out of my garage. These marks started appearing everywhere after driving for just six months. I called CFJ Paving twice to request repairs, but they didn't show up. On my last call, three months before the end of the warranty, CFJ Paving promised to inspect and fix the damage, but once again, they didn't follow through. Now, with less than a month left on our one-year warranty, CFJ Paving has completely stopped responding. The asphalt is incredibly soft and looks terrible. Additionally, in two separate areas of our driveway, all the plants are dying. After researching online, I discovered that this could be due to the new asphalt. When I asked CFJ Paving about it, they admitted that their asphalt could cause this issue, but they never informed my wife and me before starting the paving. Now, my driveway looks awful, and as a homeowner, it's embarrassing to have my home looking like this. Replacing the bushes is expensive, and removing them was challenging because their roots extended under the driveway. CFJ Paving must come back and redo the work. If this matter is not resolved soon, I am prepared to take legal action. If I receive no response, I will escalate the issue with *** and then proceed to the courts. This situation is extremely frustrating after spending a significant amount of money to have this work done in the first place.
