I moved into a neighborhood over a year ago.I parked a Travel Trailer that did need exstensive work on it however it had been paked in my driveway since we moved in.Suddenly a bylaw officer shows up and said "my trailer was garbage and had to be disposed of or get fined" he also added "that because of a neighbor was calling all the time he was forced to do something". My property backs onto a green space as far as the eye can see along with all the Houses on my side of the street. After speaking to his supervisor we came up with a agreement that if I put the trailer in my Garage that all would be o.k. so I did just that. It amazes me that the officer that came out could not tell me to do just that. What a civil Goverment we have. Suck's to live in this dumb city called Winnipeg.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I couldn't agree with you more! I lied in Winnipeg for 18yrs. then moved to Calgary for 12yrs. I became a single father of a 2yr. old girl. Proved trying so I moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to my family. I never realized how pathetic this city really is. Not only are the public services very very very inadequate but they are ignorant to your cause. I call Winnipeg "The Voice Mail Capital of Canada" They pass the buck here to a point of unjust and unreasonableness, and especially the public services! Maybe this is why the crime rate is so high here. I am financially stuck here and trying to get away from this city, and can't wait to do so.
The problem was the person who called to report you. They need to get a life or a hobby to keep their nose out of lives of others... You call next time their grass is not cut and complain.. Ya thats Winterpeg, , back to BC for us lived there 6 years, bad move coming back, , , soon as I connect on a job out there, , Lived here 40 yrs, time to get the hell out..
