I applied for a new ration card because I married and moved to a new home. I got the deletion certificates both for me and my wife from our previous ration card from the respective authorities. I submitted the originals of the deletion certificate along with the application for the new ration card. This was done nine months back to the Civil Supplies Commissioners office at Poonamalee Road in Chennai. After two months in August 2006, inquiry was conducted for address proof and I was asked to present to the above said office. I duly presented and I was asked a few questions as to whether I have gas connection or not and annual income. I gave the details orally. Then I am waiting till this date for my new ration card. I have not received it. When inquired personally, I was told that "The card has not yet been printed. What shall we do?". Ration card is the most respected identity proof in our country and is a must for the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to apply for LPG Gas connection. Can you expect a person to live without the basic identity proof and a document to get civil supples for 9 months...
I fully appriciate the plight of Sri.Guru Sai Prasad.I am also in the same plight.Somehow, the ration card has been lost and I have baan trying to get new one almost for 4 years now.The authorities should look into cases like this with sympethetic attitude and try to help out citizens.Even it is a fault on the individual to loose such importent document, it is not third degree murder or illigal act but a genuin mistake.I have been residing in the house since 1980 and have been drawing supply of cooking gas all these days.Now the gas agency insists that I produce the ration card and failing which the supply will be stoped.The concerned authority is requested to look into these case and they can adopt the necessory varifications and arrange to issue a new card.It would be a great humanitarian act.In my case I am 66 years and resident at the same address nad anyone in this locality would vouch for me.I justice is done I would be much thankfull to the the authorities.
When I booked for my Gas Cylinder, I was asked to show the ration card. As We had lived 8 years in North, we did not renew the ration card . Hence we have appliced for the new one at Tambaram. One year has nearly passed no card has been issued. We keep going the office once in two months and ask for the position. We were told the Govt has not given order issue of new Ration Card. But when we book for Gas Cylinder they insist for Ration card . We have a voter list. When will we get our ration card. If any body know about this?

I am residing at Chrompet, I am applied for ration card last year 2007. Still I have check with the St.thomas mount Civil Supplies offices no response at the office. I need the new ration card for Gas Booking purpose. without ration Agecny cannot Booked the cylinder. Hence i am very trouble in linving. I living in chennai past 10 years. I hav e applied somany times. Particulary my application only not received. The Issuing authorities make delay. They cannot help to public.

While agreeing with you all about your grievance as a whole, let me make one thing clear, that you people are not knocking at the right door, though i can see many are highly qualified, may be more than myself, have failed to browse through website of the government of tamilnadu and file a complaint, 2. You can always write to all the email ids in the public distribution system, with a copy to local collector to chiefminister [cm cell] and certainly you can find a solution.
I for the one, was in the same boat as you all were, but only difference is that i had my ration card after struggling about 1 1/2 yrs and almost spending Rs.200/- only for sending register post with acknowledgemt due card to the cm and collector. You can also try it out now with this present DMK government which was responsible for getting my ration card door delivered to my home, what the jayalalitha government failed to do [not even her government acknowledged my complaint / grievance].
That is all i can say: Knock every available door and keep fighting for your rights till the end

I went to ration shop on 15.11.2008 where I have to buy the sugar.
The shop clerk (who is wearing sabarimala malai) insisted me to buy pears soap, pepper etc. Since I had exact change Rs 67.50ps for 5 kgs of sugar, also it is not mandatory or compulsory to buy other items,
I have not opted to buy the other items.
The shop clerk spoken in a filthy/vulgar/unparliamentary way.

This is sachi from chennai-Porur. I have appied for a re issue of ration card in the month of 2007 Aug, and my thaluka office is in "Sriperamathur". To be more specific I Till now have went there for 6 times and no response. Till i have visited more then 6 time . Every time they say that request has been sent for printing. I don't know how to get a ration card. This is a very very important proof for everything from bank .

Then I am waiting till this date for my new ration card. I have not received it. When inquired personally, I was told that "The card has not yet been printed. What shall we do?". Lot of problem in sriperumbadur civil supply office. What They government Do!
There is not only civil supply office, even in the BSNL office also there is not broadband connection in and arround the porur -chennai area -600116. even they locate near heart of the city yet not develop.
In this situation, government announces the village people got bradband connection.

Sir, I am resident of T. Nagar, Chennai. During the recent verificaion of ration cards, myself and my wife went to UK . So, our case is coming under Door locked case. After coming over to Chennai, I have approached Asst. Commissioner Civil supplies, South office at T.Nagar it was told that the persons will again come for verification soon to our residence. In fact I have seen the personals who are doing verification in our street for several times and requested them to come to our residence for verificaion. But it was told by them that they are not hvaing enough forms and hence they could not come to our residence for verification. Then I have sent a letter with all relevant doucments for the occupants of our present address to Asst. Commissioner Civil supplies (South), T. Nagar thro' Registered AD for carrying out verificaion. But no repsonse from the office. Then again I have sent a registered letter with AD to Deputy commissioner civil supplies at Ezhilagam Chennai. From there also no response. When I approached the ration shop today it was stated that my card is in the list of stop supply and I have to make an application again for revival of my ration card. I donot know what this fellows at Civil supply officers are doing. They are simply not care for the public and make the public to run here and there for proving the genuinenss of the card. But God will not leave these fellows as it is. Definitely these fellows will be punished by the God.

This is very very true that "The civil Supply department" members are illtreating the public that they think as though we are in need of free money from them...can't they provide a ration card atleast to genuine caes. But i can see many peoplae getting theior new cards without proper proof...?
i am arungandhi working as a lecturer in Dr n g p arts and science college coimbatore my brother was applied new ration card on past four years he submitted all documents as per TSO office rules and they received all the forms and they given token also the number was 4116 they told after two months you will get the ration card still he not yet get the card he went and approach covai north tauk office many times the answer given in taluk office was very blind answer like come after two days officer was busy then he approach many times finally they told your application werw lost you give new form he applied new form the token number is 1275 still not yet get the card

My Name is c.Thangavel and applied for the new ration card for the march 2010 but still I did not receive the same eventhough though computer code has been alloted. whenever I went to thaisdar office to ask the ration card and they are saying that my card is not yet printed which will come within a week time.
Request you to concerned government authority to interfer this and arrange to get my ration card.

I applied for ration card on 04/Sep/2014 at chengalpattu taluka office. In acknowledgement sheet, application number is 1109.
i have visited many times directly to chengalpattu office. officers says, wait for 2 month again.
