We were also sucked into this scam but bc we questioned so hard and simply refused to pay the fee of $199.99, and speaking to 3 different “supervisors”, we were told to simply disconnect the call by the “supervisor“ himself. We already have one Roku device and I had no trouble activating it and definitely was not required to pay a “configuration fee”. We were also told if we didn’t pay the fee our Roku would not be activated. Well guess what, we didn’t pay that ridiculous fee and we are watching tv on our Roku now. So, please do not be fooled and give ur money to these people. It IS a scam!
SCAM SCAM SCAM - Make sure you clearly enter the ROKU URL into the browser and are on the actual ROKU site. Logged in from my phone and clearly have a problem. Called the TV manufacturer, they warned of ROKU Scam companies.
No issue without the SCAM SCAM SITE.
They are the best support company..They help me to set up my roku tv
Colossus Ventures is not a SCAM they are as genuine as it can get, they have been helping me from over 2 years now, I purchased their support plan for all devices.
They may be a legitimate tech support company, but I got sucked in by the same pop-up ad mentioned by Mark P. One of their techs said that I could not activate my Roku stick without paying them, which is a total lie. After I found out the truth - Roku never charges for activation or support - I called back and demanded a refund. That was on Feb. 17, 2020. Today, a month later, I'm still waiting. When I called again, I was told the billing department was billing but would call me. Three hours later they still haven't called and the service center is closed for the day. I would never recommend this company because of this poor and deceptive service.

My apologies for the double post. I was trying to correct my wording and ended up posting twice. :-(
I just tried to contact them via their web site. My email (using their link) came back to me as un-deliverable and the system would not process the message I tried to send directly from their help page. They are looking more and more like a scam to me.
I had a problem with my HP printer last year about this time and after doing every trouble shooting procedure I could find with my printer still not working I called HP support. They gave me a phone number they said I would have to call to get my printer working. It happened to be Colossus Ventures. They wanted to charge me 800 or 900 dollars to fix my printer for good or 199.99 to fix it for one year. I paid the 199.99 and now one year later wouldn't you know my printer has stopped working again with trouble shooting and no results. Sure enough, they called wanting to fix it again for 199.99. I'll buy a new printer before I keep paying them $200 to keep my HP printer working. But it won't be a HP printer this time.
