Both my husband and I had separate accounts with Comenity. We have our bank send our payments. First, my payment went out. Comenity cashed it. Then they contacted me to say I hadn't paid and had a bunch of fees. I contacted them saying that I had paid. They said I needed to mail them bank statements to a different address. I did that. Then they mailed back and said they couldn't accept bank statements as proof. We got our bank involved but nobody and nothing could convince them that we had paid. They eventually sent back the money and I just paid off the card completely and cancelled it instead of getting the dispute resolved and taken off my credit report. That very week, we received notice from them that my husband hadn't paid his bill - but he did. When calling in they said they'd give us $15 back but they recommended we not pay until after the due date. We said "then we'll have even more fees." And they said, "yes." We are just paying that one off and then will cancel the account. And are hoping our bank can get the funds back that we've now sent in twice.
Desired outcome: I'd like refunds of the fees we've had to pay that we NOT warranted.
