I bought a Guildcraft couch and ottoman and they are of really poor quality. The couch came with throw pillows with tassels and they came apart weeks after I bought it. I am on the third set of pillows (they did send replacements) and they are still coming either apart or completely off the pillow. The upholstery on the ottoman has worn very quickly and the trim on it has had to be repaired as well.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We just purchased a sectional in Arizona and one part has already sunken in. The furniture store was in bankruptcy so I was told to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. Do they cover their warranties and if so do you know how long the warranty is for?
Chris
The company was guildcraft.
Hello, i also purchased sectional paid $1000 for this couch iv, e had for 2 years but in the first 6 months buttons started coming off and pillows started going flat, also started sinking in .Nice couch but the quality of it is very poor. After taking pillows to upholstery shop to get button put back on, i gave up in trying gets expensive and now trying to find out of they any type of warranty threw guildcraft .Iv, e contacted furniture store where i purchased and still waiting for response.
~~WARNING~~ Before you buy this furniture you should clarify with the store what EXACTALY is covered by warrantee and for how long. I had a situation happen where the store told me that something was covered, the store when out of business and then the issue WASN'T covered by warrantee. After speaking with someone at Guildcraft directly I was informed that the piece I bought (a Matrix sectional for $1800) DID NOT have a lifetime warrantee (as we were told) but instead only had a one year warrantee (which had expired since we've had it about a year and a half) and even then that my issue (weak stitching which unraveled on a cushion leaving a hole in the seat) wouldn't be covered anyway because even the lifetime warrantees were only on the frame and the springs! Super bummed because I had specifically asked about the stitching before we purchased because I was worried that they might not hold up well (we were told it would be covered)! So I guess I'm just as bummed at McMahan's (the store) as I am at the manufacturer, Guildcraft.
Anyway... if you have a couch made by Guildcraft and have a warrantee issue I suggest calling the company direct ASAP at [protected] and not going thru the store where you purchased it because waiting might result in a lapsed warrantee and a refused claim. Also, don't expect the website to be updated. It won't...I asked. The person I spoke to was fairly surprised that I was calling and stated that 'they don't usually deal with the public, just the store'. I suggested he forward my complaints to his General Manager (something the stores probably don't do since they are just motivated to sell the furniture). If you have this furniture Good Luck and if you're looking to buy DON'T its overpriced junk!
I bought a Giltcraft love seat & chair & a half from Slumberland. I paid almost $2000.00 for both of them. I live alone with a small dog. I weigh about 130 lbs. This furniture looks like it is 20 years old. It is the worst furniture I have ever bought. It fell apart before a year was up. I called Slumberland & they told me they were not a real Slumberland & they couldnt help me. Then someone came over told me they had the same furniture & it had been recalled. Called Slumberland back & they told me it was quaranteed for life. They would replace the cushions. Now they tell me Giltcraft told them the warrenty has lapsed & Im screwed. This set is not even 2 yrs old. It is sunken in/flat pillows...opened up one of the pillows & the inside looks like a bunch of shredded cotton balls...Not even pillows. The frames are bowing...This company said they will not replace...This is ###...will be posting pictures all over internet of this ### furniture...Am disabled or I would buy new but cannot afford to even eat...Again ###...
