My mother purchased four tires with $50 rebate from Cooper Tires in the spring of 2017. She finally received this Metabank Visa Debit card for the Cooper Tires Rebate in November of 2017. The card has an expiration date of October 2017 so this corrupt company obviously had no intention of honoring the rebate to her. I called the number on the card and they said they would take care of it but it could take six months to get a resend of the card. So we waited. After about another 10 months I contacted Cooper Tire and spoke with Christine and explained it to her. She said she would take of it and make good on the $50 rebate. Its now been about another 8 months and we've heard nothing more about it. Obviously these companies run scams on these rebates no delivering on the terms like this one mailing it out so that the person received the debit card after the expiration date of the card. In this case they took advantage of an elderly widowed senior citizen on multiple prescription drugs. How can we get justice against these corrupt companies and their false advertising of rebates? I still have the original VISA debit card here beside me as I write this with good thru day 10/17 which she received in the mail at the beginning of 11/17.
