This school is bad. There are many unhappy clients and former/current students. I have witnessed first hand the damage the owner of the school has done to students and clients.
This is a hostile environment. The owner is a racist person whom has a tendancy to be violent and physically intimidate students.
You will not get your education there because there are no qualified teachers. Your money will be taken and you may be kicked out before your graduation date for some insane reason.
Students are put on the floor during their first few weeks of attendance (thats illegal). I personally know of one lawsuit pending for sure and heard of another. Research the owner, school and students past and current before enrolling.
The owner skipped chapters she didn't know how to teach stating that they are not important. (even if it is a state requirement to learn them for state board test) She made racist comments constantly and degrades students and clients on every level. BEWARE!
I've seen personal information like social security numbers of students laying all over her office floor. It's a mess.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I also have seen first hand how the owner Elaina Parcesepe is very negative and will say just what you want to hear. Then just when you pay her money for tuition she then changes the rules. Don't think for one minute that you will learn anything because she doesn't teach any theory which is what us on state board. She is disgusting and threats everyone like crap. She doesn't care about the school you think your going to because it is actually a salon she is running and you are making her money for nothing. She will find a way to get rid of you when she no longer needs you or you figure out what she is doing. I hope you don't have allergies because you will definetely get sick from all the mold in there. Good luck if you ever have the misfortune of encountering Elaina Parcesepe.
This has to be the worst cosmetology school in the state. I walked in and the "Owner" was dressed in jeans and was eating with food coming out of her mouth. She was disgusting and so was the school. It was very dirty and unprofessional. The few students that were there were all outside smoking and talking about buying their hours so they could leave the school because they couldn't stand the owner Elaina Parcesepe. Needless to say I didn't go back.
Elaina Parcesepe is the nicest person, she helps everyone. Every person that went to her school she has placed them in a job. The negetive talk on here are problably the people Elaina removed from the school for sexually harrassing another student.
Elaina Parcesepe of Cosmetology Institute of Florida, Helped everyone that ever attended, even the person "wise up". Wise up is very Jealous of Elain Parcesepe, look they hide behind a fake name and could never accomplish what she is done.

Sounds like Elaina herself put you up to posting on this site. Elaina is the one that is paranoid that everyone us out to get her. That's because she has a rap sheet a mile long. Becareful she doesn't turn on you like she has everyone else. The school is a joke and Elaina us pathetic.
Way to go The Real Professional! I couldn't have said it better myself. Cosmetology institute of Florida is a horrible school where innocent people are being brainwashed and don't even know it. Don't worry sooner or later you will figure it out.
This school is the absolute opposite of "professional" "motivational" or "inspirational" as adverstised on their lame website. The owner should take note of all these complaints and realize she has some personal issues that she should tend to and close the school before the State does. I would have learned more if I had just hung out a Super Cuts for 2 days. I agree that "Christine" is probably Elaina since she has all day to make posts on here rather than conduct a school. Job placement? Are you kidding me? She hasn't placed one student! Local salons think of her as a joke. If you don't believe me, ask around. What a waste of money - do not go here!
I totally agree with you that Cosmetology Institute of Florida is a joke of a school. First of all Elaina Parecepe can only get inexperienced instructors that are clueless. There is a reason that this is the cheapest school around. You get what you pay for. Don't expect to make any money when and if you ever graduate as either a cosmetologist or facialist. So do yourself a favor and don't waste your money, go to a more reputable school to begin with. Save yourself the frustration and aggrevation of having to deal with Elaina Parcesepe and her filthy school.

Maybe some of the students should band together and demand their money back, anyone heard of help me howard, sounds like a good story for channel 7 news if you ask me...
As of June 2011, this school has a new owner and a new director and there has been many positive changes for the students.
It is unfortunate to hear about all the prior negative experiences due to past management but at least the negative vibe of this school is now in the past where it belongs
