Newt Thorne who manages Cottonwood Villas needs to retire, he has mis-managed this complex far to long and now want to raise our HOA's by 15% when we live in a dump and he is funneling all our money to his cronnies and the board members who sit back and do nothing because they are all getting kickbacks or they are all a bunch of Idiots!
People can no longer do reverse mortgages in Cottonwood Villas because Newt Thorne never filed the paperwork with HUD ontime. The deadline was December 31, 2010, and because Colorado Management did not file the paperwork with HUD, no one in the Cottonwoods can do a reverse mortgage on thier property.
This is spam not a complaint get the hell out of here!
I disagree lots of times the board members allow and take the advice of the property managers, this was the case with Cotton Wood Villas they were like puppets on a string! For many years! Unable to think on their own just making a seat warm!
For example the dryer vent scam- they believed the PMC without investigating it on their own, it turned out to be totally unnecessary and could of cost homeowners unnecessary expense and hardship.
Right now we have people on our board that hold up our meetings til 7-11 at night once a month just to hear themselves blab about things that are unimportant! Just to make themselves feel important! It makes no one including the board members want to go to a meetings, they have restricted the talk time on homeowners and these people on the board that blab blab blab are wasting every-one's time and ruin the moral of the whole meetings!
So I totally disagree with this comment and have first hand proof that this person is DEAD WRONG!
Colorado Management - a Group of compeltely unprofessional and immature contractors who cannot successfully sealing an envolope without calling someone for help. Completely useless the Colorado Management Group can be.
fact: As of December 2010, Cottonwood Villas Condo Association did not qualify for FHA loans due to the percentage of owner occupied units being below 50%. And that is why no application was presented. This is well known fact and has been stated numerous times at monthly HOA meetings.
Also, property management companies for HOA do not make the decision on raising dues, the HOA board does. The fact that the people lodging these complaints blame the property management company for the fee increases illustrates their ignorance of how HOAs work.
I was dead wrong about what? The response to my comment said nothing regarding the facts I stated, but simply spewed out personal attacks not related to anything I said.
