I worked for D & T Sales selling the Advanage Wonder Cleaner. The company would have you in very hot weather conditions day and night. They did not bring you food or water. The owners wife would talk to you with very little respect. In most instances they were taking advantage of people. When the stains were removed it was because we mixed all of the cleaners together and we would sell the customer only one of the cleaners and the product would not work. When we were let go from the company, you would be left at the bus station would no money or a ticket home. For years these companies have been getting away with this something needs to be done.

I was not told that at all. Do you think that if I was told that I would have went. If you trust them then go ahead put your life on the line. Good Luck.

i use to work fr this company in 2006 doing door to door and it aint as bad as people say yea some of the workers did drugs and some had a drinking problem some had crimanal records and so on but that just how the world is for the most part the people who did partake in these activities did so after work and for the people who say that we just were scammin you it is a lie everyone watches commercials on tv everyday all we did was bring the commercial to your door i was not lieing or tryn to scam anyone i was just doin my job because even if you dont think it is a good job it still is a job. most people stay focused on us like we the bad guys but i had quiet a few run ins with worse people at there door guns pulled on me beng called a ### and alot more and im not even one of the persistant ones i also met alot of nice people to but i was a women out there alone and if anything had of happened to me would i still have been the bad guy think bout that we all had our reasons for being on that crew away from our families and freinds but if you were good at your job you made the best of it. i look at it as more of like a dorm setting just instead of school we went to work everyday and for the person who said they just left him at a bus sop wit no money and no way home that mean you didnt manage your money you werent just fired there had to be weeks of you not making any money at all so why would any company intrested in making money not loosing it continue to pay for your room board and for you to eat and you not bringing in nothin think about that. keywe

Also see comments under "T & B Sales, " and "Advanage Wonder Cleaner." My son was wowed by a fast-talking young salesman who came to our door and since my son's so trusting and has a good heart, I hated to tell him it propbably was a scam, or worse yet one of those businesses that takes "advanTage" of economically-desperate or naiively hopeful young people by taking them to other cities to sell door-to-door and trapping them with threats and no real way to escape ... After reading comments on this and other boards, that sounds like this is the case. I am grateful to those who have left who have the courage to tell the truth here - they likely have saved others from this fate. My question is, what alternatives do young people "working" for a company like this have? If I'd been home, I would have told the young man at the door that if he did in fact feel trapped, ours IS a land of freedom, and he does NOT have to stay, that he does NOT in fact owe the company anything (How on EARTH can the employees OWE the company?!? sounds as evil as pimping!); I would have invited him in to use my phone to call our local Emergency Traveller's Aid (a charity which helps people who come here for jobs but can't get them, and then can't afford transportation to return home), or if they couldn't help, I would have given him the number "2-1-1" for the United Way -- it works everywhere in the U.S. -- all you have to do is call that number, tell them what your problem is, and they will match the resources and tell you who to call. I'd also try to help him find a place to stay - there are homeless shelters in our area, as well as youth hostels ($15 a night for travelers) ... I'll bet the Attorney General in our state would be interested too ... (Notice how they get dropped off in a neighborhood and the van drives off, so it's hard to get a license plate #.) If anyone knows how to help these young people get away and get back home, I hope you'll post it here. My prayers are with them. The rest of us are out a little money -- these young people could be in real jeopardy.

This balding guy, seemed pretty cool, came up to my door earlier. Told me bout it, sprayed some on an oil stain in the driveway, and it came up pretty solidly. He went on to compliment my truck, cleaned up some parts of it, and told me about how he wanted me to have it and how it's for the kids. He told me he was new to the product, and then he later said he's used it for 10 years, at which point I knew he was ###. After working with a lot of liars, I noticed that his actions and all that weren't right, and a constant smile tugged at his lips which he worked hard at concealing. After I guiltily turned him down, I looked it up and found all this and I was glad I didn't get taken advanage of.

I called about this job today and was told straight up that if I was fired or needed to go home, that they were not responsible for me. I'm sure that you were told the same thing. If they stick to their word, and you know what was told to you, you can't really blame them for anything, can you?
