Dave Smith Motors fails to honor the warranty. Regrettably, after purchasing a car with a warranty, the engine malfunctioned a mere eight months later. To my utmost surprise, the service department held onto my car for an astonishing two months without even initiating a claim with the warranty company. And to compound matters, they persisted in asserting that the necessary repairs would not be covered by the warranty, without even bothering to file the claim. In my quest for assistance, I reached out to the General Manager regarding the warranty and the service department. Unfortunately, he dismissively brushed off the matter, stating that it was not his concern since the warranty was provided by a third-party company.
Hey Paul Nadler, I can't believe you think the warranty sold by Dave Smith Motor is not your problem. Seriously? Take a minute and think about the moral responsibility here. It's about time you step up and offer your clients a warranty that actually does what it's supposed to do.
Claimed loss: we ended up losing the 3k we initially paid for the warranty, and on top of that, an additional 6k was required to fix the car.
Desired outcome: It is imperative that Dave Smith Motors takes immediate action to rectify this situation, as they have been advertising a warranty that fails to adequately safeguard their customers.
