Sub: Condemn report telecasted on Indian TV regarding H.H. Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS)

The 9:00 PM show on the 6th of April on India TV telecasted the information and report on the re-marriage of Taliban terrorist Baitullah in Waziristan, Afghanistan .
In between this report, pictures of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) performing his nikah had been inserted amid constant background talk on terrorism. In what regards do you think His Holiness is connected with the terrorists? Do you even have an inkling of who you are talking about?
His Holiness is amongst the only four persons in the world who are awarded with the address of “His Holiness” including the Dalai Lama and the Christian Pope. And His Holiness is also awarded with the title of “Ambassador of Peace” by many major nations of the world.
This is an utter lack of knowledge, information and professional journalism from India TV’s part. If India TV is not aware of such a unique personality, then it is not our fault. India TV is a news channel and it ought to know better. This is certainly not the ethics of journalism way? Or is it?
India TV is now apologizing for the grave error they have committed. But merely a statement on the bottom of the screen with the word “afsos” won’t do. India TV has to take up the responsibility of this severe mistake and this includes all stakeholders of India TV including their chief editor and journalist.
We, the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community, demand a full fledge from the concerned reporter and the chief editor of India TV. We demand the apology of your misconduct to be telecast as long and as repeatedly as the error and on the same show and at the same time (prime time), which should grasp the same audience which watched on the evening of 6th April.
We also demand necessary actions to be taken against the reporter for such a grave mistake.
Although the damage has been done, we think this is the only way the reputation of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) can be mended (albeit only partially).
We sincerely hope that you understand that we are hurt to the depth of our soul and this letter is been written from a crying heart. This is a matter of great insult to our beloved Maula (TUS) and to the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community as a whole.

I understand that Syedna Muhammad Burhaniddin is not in the best of health lately. The one thing I don’t understand is that why people are flocking onto his father’s grave in Bombay? What for?
To pray for his speedy recovery YOU must pray to ALLAH and nobody else!
I have read news about people going on foot and bicycles to his father’s grave in Bombay which is absurd.
My understanding is you can visit the kabr or grave or mazaar of a person and pray for that person. But to pray to that person for the recovery of another person is not right. This is not what Islam is about!

The only thing I want to say is if India TV had no clue against His Holliness, neither video or any kind of clipping, then how they dare to show the images only and linked His Holliness with something beyond the lines.
What are the people working in India TV wanted to show or wanted to prove. They do not have brains or they have lost their minds. This is a ridiculous act and cannot be forgiven. The responsible persons have to come forward and apologize publicly to His Holliness in regards to the misconduct done by them.
Any one today can link photos with someone even not known to him/her. This is not difficult and that is what India TV did without any fact or evidence just for making the news spicy and saleable.
We just want to say if you do not have proof, do not do it especially for such a holy person about whose greatness and kindnes you even do not know about.

Guys take this issue at international level. All we know that we are consider to be the most peaceful people in the world and world knows this too. Right ?

The actions of India TV have to be strongly condemned. This seems to be a conspiracy to give a bad name to Syedna. India TV has forgotten all principles of Jounalism in the name of prime time television.
I agree that a very strong apology has to be given by India TV in the same show in which they showed Syedna.
The government has to intervene to ensure such things dont happen again. The media should be made accountable. Such incidents show our press in very bad light.

Fortunately for us Bohras we have no link w/ so called "terrorists" of Waziristan. In the same vein are all the Hindus the same? Are all Hindus from Gujarat same as the ones from Orissa? Do they all believe in racist policies of Narendra Modi? Ofcourse, not! Similarly the 3rd rated India TV news and Rohit Bansal need to do thorough investigating and fact checking before presenting to millions of viewers.

You are calling yourself journalists? Just look yourself in the mirror, and see for yourself, and first of all, learn the basic ethics of journalism. You have a huge setup and a lot of money, that does not mean that you can telecast any news, without knowing its real source and relevance. You just publish that news item in the name of "Braking News" and think that we Indians are fools over here. Why is it there that only you people know everything in the whole world? It is my suggestion to just go back to basics and learn how to do journalism, or you can just see how the foreign news channel are broadcasting their news feed. you need to learn from them.
Secondly, you need to know in detail about our Moula TUS, what he has done for our country and for our community. He he known as an Ambassador of Peace in the whole world. Now look what you people have done. You have Indirectly linked our community to the anti-social elements, damaging the image of both our Moula TUS and of our community.
Now, what we Dawoodi Bohras all over the world want is that, First of all you should Apologize publicly in every source of media, ie TV, Newspaers and Internet. Secondly, we want to know that from where did you get that photo? there must be some sort of source from where you got that photo. We just want to know that source, thats it. Or, you can just tell who edited this photo. We just want that person's name, from whom you got that photo.

We atleast expect the TV channel to check the truth behind such reports.We would like to know what was the basis on which this report was shown?It seems the intentions were to deliberately harm the image of Dawoodi Bohra community.We are definitely hurt.But also have the faith that nothing can ruin the reputation of our community.

One of the better ways to put an end to this type of ignorant journalism is to bring down a huge malpractice, defamation lawsuit again the reporter and IndiaTVnews.
A most irresponsible and malicious act on the part of India tv. Is this what they call free press? That they can be free from any responsibility and ethics.

This news is nothing but a disaster for the Bohra community and it hurts millions of the borhas living all over the world. I have few question to the news channel as well as the ministry of telecasting and communications :
How a so called "Reputed" news channel which is actually not anymore can transmitt such a fake news in primetime without having proper informations & evidence.
The picture given in news and the websites of the channel are fake and they can cleary noticed that someone has edited the picture of the ceremony of a bohra mumin bhais Nikah. This is not the original picture at all.
I totally agree that the News Channel should check the truth behind such reports before telecasting it to the TV.
Just few words of appology is not enough to bring back the prestige of Bohra Community among the people of India. The news channel has to take the action against the reporter and the related people and they have to telecast the correct report about our His Holiness Aqua Maula Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin at the same time in same show which they call it 'Prime Time'.
Finall I request to the owner and the caretaker of all the news channels that before telecasting any news for any community or their leader they should go into the deep of the truth.
This was not just the news but this was the matter of the prestige of our Aqua Maula and the whole Bohra Community.

I would like severe action to be taken on the reporter who wrote this report and also awaiting your apology on the same time and same show. As a broadcasting agency it is your responsibility to check on a report whether it is true or not. this shows how unproffesional journalism is filled in your broadcasting agency.

We need to get to the person who made its video or who developed this video, (the main person who compiled the video)
from him we can come to know who check this tape and gave it to process and upload to the channel.

India tv have proved that they are the worst news channel and the only thing they are good at is in faking news. This is not the first time they have faked a news. But this time they have exceeded the limits. If you have seen the news, you can clearly see that the photo of our aqa mola was morphed and placed with the terrorist. The quality of morphing was poor, if you see properly you can make out the differences.
But the question is why are they doing this? what do they want? This is not journalism! this is ###.

Dr. Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin Saheb, the greatest and nobelest man alive on this Earth. A leader who is 97 years old, a person who speak the truth and nothing but the truth. Where ever he travels everyone is stunned by his personality.
Above all this H.H is a citizen of India! Is this how a national / international personality is treated in India?
We should not only condem this act by writing comments, but we should go all the way until and unless the people or the channel itself present themselves in front of H.H and ask for forgivness.
Also the Govt of India should take a notice of this and get the truth reveiled.
I too condemn the same though I have not seen only heard. So, better if ayone can provide link or upload the video on youtube, so that more appropriate conclusion can be drawn about the intention of the reporter and news channel. Filing a lawsuite must be done.
I agree with ac1513 that Islam is not about road shows and seeking help from creations but the Creator. May Allah guide all of us on Straight path.

The journalist/editor/video editor must have randomly searched online for a nikah video and and inserted the first footage that he could find.
They have absolutely no understanding of what they are doing. As it is India TV is the worst news channel that tries to create news rather than report real facts. Do they, even now, realize the gravity of their mistake?
India TV Officials should be ashamed of themselves by allowing this kind of Cheap Fake Videos to be Telecasted on National TV.
This baseless video which India TV has fabricated clearly indicates that it was done just not for TRP but also with the intent to Hurt the Feelings of our Dawoodi Bohra Community & to spread Communal Disharmony.
