when I purchased a new Dodge Challenger, I was offered a tire and Rim protection plan that covered only the tire and rims at a cost of $1,300.00.
I declined the offer because it's covered by my auto insurance policy and damage like that would probably cause damage to the suspension that's not covered with that policy. I was never informed it would REMOVE the basic tire protection benefit like Road Hazard Protection that was always a standard benefit when purchasing a vehicle or tires. A simple nail on the road cost me the replacement cost of the tire because I didn't purchase the Rim protection plan that removed the tire warranty that I was never made aware of.
Profit is not a bad word, but this is a Rip-Off.
Claimed loss: Tire replacement cost, $272.06
Desired outcome: refund the cost of the tire and put the Tire Road Hazard protection on.
