I recently had a tummy tuck and breast lift. I now have one breast larger than the other and one is higher than the other and it looks awfuls. My tummy tuck looks even worse. returning to Dr.Plamer he was going to Charge me AGAIN to fix his mistakes. I have a huge scar from something that happen while being under. The over charged me for work he did not do. I would not return to him. I will be filing a complaint.
I agree he took advantage, and think a complaint with DPBR
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've been a patient of Dr. Palmer for some time now, and I have to say I've never had a negative experience in his office or with the results from the procedures he has performed on me.
I am an employee at Dr. Palmer's office, and I know who wrote this. Without breaking HIPA Privacy, I will state the TRUTH over this matter. Dr. Palmer offered to do more work on this patient at basically his cost. She was perfectly happy with her breasts at the time she was at our office. I gave her a fee quote on all the NEW ADDITIONAL SURGERY she wanted to book, which she was extremely eager to do (if her experience had been as bad as she said, I doubt she would want more surgery). Law prohibits tummy tuck patients from having more than 1000 cc's of lipo at the same time as a tummy tuck. We explained this to her. He offered to do the areas he had already done at no charge, despite he had already taken the limit of fat out at the time of her tummy tuck. She wanted to add several more areas of lipo, have a scar revision, and a few other procedures as well. She was very eager to do this, and had even booked a date BEFORE HER CONSULT. She was only displeased when she was given a quote for all the NEW PROCEDURES she was being charged for. She was being charged for 3 areas of lipo, and having 8 areas done. This was not good enough for her.
She screamed and made a scene in the office after being given the quote, and said she was going to be filing a complaint. There is nothing for her to complain about except she didn't get free surgery for being a rude and pushy woman. She was completely disrespectful to our staff and the other patients who were present to witness her belligerent behavior.
She was also anger because she had "double checked" my math, and found I had given her a discount. Not to mention the person who did her quote previously had misquoted her by over $2, 250.00 (to her benefit) and when I brought this to her attention she screamed at me and told me I had to honor that price because she wasn't the one at fault for the mistake. We honored the price, at a loss to the doctor, and I suppose she was expecting the same thing to happen again.
Honestly, without mentioning names, I'm glad she's not a patient in our office anymore. Every time she came in she expected things for free, and was always rude to the staff and other patients.
Good luck E.P.
I look 15 years younger, and cannot get enough of all the compliments I keep getting. I could not be happier!
From the moment I walked into Palmer Cosmetic Surgery I felt at home. The staff was extremely polite and accommodating. The front desk person scheduled me with ease, and I got right in. Once I was in the office they made me feel like royalty. I first met with the Patient Care Coordinator, who spoke to me about my concerns, my needs, and my goals. She then relayed this information to Dr. Palmer who had a clear idea of what I wanted before I even met him. He spent plenty of time with me, going over my concerns again, and explaining risks, and telling me his track record. I have never been so at ease in a Doctor's Office.
My surgery turned out beautifully. I had very little pain or discomfort. My worries were far worse than the surgery itself. Even the surgical staff was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
I copied and pasted the review from another independent site from a patient of Dr. Palmer's. It really states the TRUE natural of his practice. Not only am I an employee, I am also a patient. Dr. Palmer has done nothing but extremely beautiful work on me, and everyone I know. If people are unsatisfied for any reason, he always makes it right at no charge. There are just some patients who will never be happy no matter how great they look. The very woman who posted this online complaint was bragging about her before and after pictures in the waiting room! Talk about flipping a switch!
It's despicable someone would post such LIES to try to hurt a very qualified, and capable surgeon, just because she didn't get NEW surgery for FREE. It's inconceivable. I assure anyone who's reading this, that this "BAD JOB" review was written by a bitter, vexed woman who has no legitimate reason to file a real complaint and is only trying to hurt his business because she didn't get over $15k worth of surgery for free.
Absolutely disgusting.
I would advise anyone looking into Dr. Palmer to truly think twice about accepting him as your surgeon. I'm not surprised by this woman's claims and I totally believe you (ilooksobadnow). I was a patient and received the same treatment. I went in for rhinoplasty and walked out wanting my old nose back. He left my nose disfigured and crooked .When it was all said and done, I was assured the huge hump on my nose would go away or I could dish out another 5k for a second procedure. This man is not qualified to be doing any intensive work! I hope this message reaches anyone looking into DR. Russel Palmer as their surgeon. Please don't make a bad choice in trusting this mans capabilities or his staff.
This is Dr. Palmer, I do not know who this person (HaveSomeCompassion22) is, but it contradicts our policies. I have not had a patient complaint regarding the result of their Rhinoplasty, nor do I recall ever telling someone they would have to pay $5000.00 to do it again. I have never done that in my entire career as a surgeon.
I do not charge patients for revisions when they are unhappy with the outcome of their surgery. There are rare cases where revisions are wanted because the patient has changed their mind about what they want, or how they want to look, in this event I only charge the patient my cost of running my operating room. and anesthesia costs when needed. My patients are very pleased with the outcomes of their surgeries, and often refer friends and family members who fly from all over the world to come to my office. I feel my post-care of patients is unparalleled, and if this is a real patient who has a valid complaint, I urge you to call my office so we can address the issue.
I went through my data base, and there is not a patient who fits this description. I feel this is not truly a patient complaint, but rather someone with a person grudge of some kind.
If you are a patient who has a complaint about your care at my surgery center, I encourage you to call my office so I can do whatever it takes to help you feel satisfied, happy, and to look your best.
2 years ago I had upper and lower blepharoplasty and chin liposuction and I chose Dr. Palmer from not only great word-of mouth but seeing the natural results on perfect strangers, people who I would never have know had any cosmetic surgery (as there was no tell-tale signs of too much lifting, stretching of skin or that overly "tight" looking face and jawline) and who were so enthused about their results with Dr. Palmer they offered the information. I was and am completely delighted with the results; the surgery left me with almost NO bruising and 4 days post-op any trace of discoloration on my face actually looked like just a touch of too much sun on my cheekbones! I am planning on getting a face-lift in the next month and can tell anyone reading this review that I have had nothing but a professional, warm and positive experience with Dr. Palmer and his staff. I'm not sure what is going on with the original poster and her negative complaints but it doesn't seem like anything she could have truthfully experienced at Palmer Surgical Center.
Im a 40 yr old woman who has done 3 surgeries with Dr. Palmer. I am going to keep this nice and short. HE IS WONDERFUL and his staff very helpful and polite. His work is amazing and natural looking. Before surgeries I did my homework and did my research. Not only did my family and co workers at the time LOVE the way I looked, some of my co workers scheduled a consultation and surgery date. Im thinking about switching my implants and I'm DEFINITELY going to him. Thank you Dr. Palmer and staff!

Dr. Palmer is absolutely unparalleled when it comes to his skill set as a plastic surgeon. My initial exposure to his "gift" was 15 years ago; I was looking for a plastic surgeon with whom I could have a breast lift and breast augmentation. I was 20. I stopped a girl my age in the gym whose look I greatly admired, and I asked forgiveness for my being forward, but told her her breasts looked amazing. I explained I was looking to have mine done. I asked her if she had her breasts surgically enhanced, and if so, I asked her to please tell me who her surgeon was. Tears of happiness and gratitude welled up in her eyes. She shyly explained to me that she originally had a deformity called tuberous breasts. She had selected Dr. Palmer as her surgeon because of his outstanding reputation, however she kept her expectations at just wanting to look like a normal girl. She never thought she would exceed normal and delve into the truly spectacular. She thanked me graciously for stopping her and for paying her the compliment, and I thanked her even more graciously for the knowledge of Dr. Palmer.
Since that time I have had several procedures with Dr. Palmer, and I honestly cannot say enough glowing things about him. He is truly amazing. I personally have been working many years in hospitals and Operating Rooms as a biomedical engineer, and I can legitimately say that Dr. Palmer is unmatched. His level of care exceeds the best I have been exposed to. Not only is his skill level in the top echelon, but his bedside manner and genuine concern for his patients are truly one of a kind. I know with certainty that if there is ever a concern regarding the correction of a deformity, achieving a more youthful look, pre or post operative attention, sorting financial discrepancies, situating payment planning, or actualizing favorable surgical outcomes, Dr. Palmer will exceed all expectations.
In my opinion Dr. Palmer is not qualified and is apathetic. I just wish I had read some of these complaints before I went to him. I am very unhappy with the results.
After the face lift I was left with a bump on the side of my face. He said to wait 6 months to a year for it to settle down or have any revision. Needless to say I feel disfigured b/se of this bump. I am very embarrassed b/se now I have a bump on the side of my face I never had before.
I've waited 6 months for the revision and now he wants $600 to correct his botched job. I would never allow this doctor to touch me again. I am furious and feel he has been very insensitive and apathetic. I am writing this in hope no other women goes through what I have had to endure.
I agree Dr. Russell Palmer does not care about his patient after he takes your money.
He wants to charge you again after his botched handy work. I am filing complaints with The Better Business Bureau and with Consumer Affairs.
I had liposuction done in May of last year with Dr. Palmer. I was very please with the results. He and his staff were very accommodating to my needs. I will definitely use Dr. Palmer again.
This is Dr. Palmer. I would like to address the comments posted on May 17th and September 5th, which incidentally are from the same person, who appears to be representing herself multiple times as different people, in an attempt to discredit me. Both my staff and I go to great lengths to try and make all our patients happy. I stand by my work. On some rare occasions, a revision is needed. If one is indicated I simply ask patients to wait the appropriate time before proceeding. The area in question was present prior to surgery and has been significantly improved by the procedure. We have reviewed pre and post op photos together and confirmed this. The area in question is a normal anatomic feature that is present in many people. It has become less noticeable on each and every post op visit. The appropriate time to wait before considering any possible revisional surgery, which may not even be necessary, would be one year after the original procedure. That time is still a few months away from now. The $600 to "correct a botched job" was the price quoted for a syringe of filler. Should a revision be needed, I will be happy to do it free of any surgical charges
I went back to Dr. Palmer for the revision and he wanted the $600 to "correct the botched job" a filler is very necessary...I was told to wait at least a year to see the true results, its well after a year since my surgery and I still have the bump on my face. I am embarrassed for people to see me. He has disfigured me and now after a year I still have the bump on my face . I have paid for fillers to no avail. He is only interested in getting your money, he does not care about doing the job he was paid to do. He does not do the right thing overall. I regret ever letting him touch me.
This is jsjewels again, this so called Doctor is not telling the truth when he said the area in question was present before the surgery... That is a complete fabrication on his part and I have dozens of photos to prove it... And I would like to add that the reason for differe names is b/se this site does not allow you to continue airing your thoughts on the terrible unconscionable treatment of this doctor. The only reason I am here is Because I Have been so unhappy with what he did to me I feel everyone should know not to trust this man. I Have filed a formal complaint with several agencies that oversee doctors.
BOTCHED JOB! I had breast reconstruction surgery in 2015 with Dr.Russell Palmer. My breast were sagging but were not disfigured until Dr. R Palmer did my surgery. He put a DD implants one breast is way bigger than the other one, the front of the breast are square and they look awful. My breast are so big I have to wear a bra 24/7 because they are sagging and very heavy . I'm so upset I need a revision after I paid so much money. I called the office to tell them how unhappy I was having my implant looking like gorilla breast. The receptionist was supposed to get back to me I had to call her back because she never had the decency of calling me back. I ask if I can get at least part of my money back and they said no but that he is willing to work with me by him doing the surgery again after the damage he has done. I been to other doctors they can't believe how bad my breast looks first saying that my implants are way too big. Please anyone who thinking of having breast surgery do your research make sure you make the mistake by picking the wrong doctor. You pay so much money to have a cosmetic surgery to come out looking worst after the surgery. You pay big money to be cut up like meat at BUTCHER store.
It saddens me when a patient who had come to me with multiple similar complaints about another qualified surgeon, who I have helped through multilple successful procedures over the last several years, all of which helped them regain confidence and a positive self image, suddenly becomes hostile. I am disappointed that despite our record of multiple surgical successes, you have not allowed me the opportunity to complete a very complicated breast procedure by choosing to leave my care in the immediate post operative period. A major factor in selecting implant size is the width of the patient's chest. Prior to surgery we discussed the fact that you have an extremely broad chest, and had extremely saggy breasts. You desired fullness and cleavage, which required a large implant, which was reviewed with you prior to your surgery. Immediately after surgery implants tend to be high and need time to settle. I was very clear that when the implants settled and the incisions were ready, if you were still not pleased, I would perform any revision that you wanted at no cost to you. At the time you left the practice, it would have been irresponsible of me or any other surgeon to do surgery that soon postoperatively. I have been a board certified plastic surgeon for the last 25 years who has thousands of extremely happy patients including you, until recently. To make such vicious comments about myself and my practice is completely untrue and slanderous. Please feel free to contact my office if you would like to complete your care.
Dr. Palmer like your mention I came in with sagging breast yes I did. I went to you to fixes my problem and paid good money for it. Regarding another surgeon like you said who did my arm lift that I complain about to you as you saw yourself how my arms where left . I went to you for my breast surgery to have them lifted and to have a appropriate size implant not a double DD . As painful and heavy these implants are you still told me I should have gone bigger impossible. I had called your office to see if you can at least give me a portion of the money back and you said no. Instead I was told to come in to see what option I would have. My option are none if is you that has to do the revision. I truly believe that you wouldn't like someone doing something like this to you, as hard as you work for your money everyone else does too. Untrue you say about My comments the photos says it all plus more photos that I have. As I see there are more unsatisfied patients so is not just me. I'm very easy going but having a surgery like this and not being happy and seeing your doctors taking his glasses office being sarcastic telling me they look fine just wait for the implant to settle. I really didn't think you treat patients like this
Dr. Palmer is an expert in his field and the only one I would ever trust for any kind of cosmetic surgery. He is simply the best!
