I purchased a vehicle from Huston Motors, Lake Wales Fl.back in July'06. They organized the finance with Drive Financial, Dallas TX. We were rushed into signing the contract without reviewing it thoroughly. Only after we realized that a fee of $2500 was added to our loan. When I contacted Drive Financial I was told that those were fees to lend us the money. I told them that I was not aware of these fees when I purchased the vehicle and was not satisfied with the sale tactics of Huston Motors and their company. I was told that at that point they couldn't take back the vehicle and I was stuck with a loan costing more than the cost of the vehicle. I sent my first payment to Drive Financial by mail since they charge $10 to pay by phone or online. The check arrived on the 16th Aug. They repossessed the vehicle on Aug 15th claiming that they had not received the first installment and apart from that I didn't want the vehicle. After 1 week and many calls I was obligated to pay the storage fee to get back my vehicle and they paid the repossession fee. During the week I didn't have my vehicle I was not compensated by Drive Financial, only shouted at on many occasions. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

My Wife and I bought a 2005 Ford Focus at the Dealership for $16560 thru Drive... We made our regular payments till Around June 2006... My wife and i fell behind almost two payments... So we Decided to refinance our home and Pay off the Remaining Balance... We were told a Payoff Quote aroung $16025... That is what we sent them a Check for $16025... We were told that would Clear our account and will would receive the Pink slip... I Went on with my Business and Never Looked into the status of our Pink slip... I Know i should have... But with family and work certain things cross our mind... I Never recieved a statement after that... Well on Sept 2009 I got a Note at my Front door to Call this number... To My surprise it was a Repo company Looking for my Vehicle... So I Called Drive or Sustander whoever they are now... the Customer rep Ms. Michelle Johnson had told me in the Notes that the Reps leave... It Stated that When Customer sends the $16025 that they would send my Pink slip... That caused Ms. Johnson to be Suspicious about this... So she passed it to the Manager for Review... But she told me i stilled owed $1096 Plus $900 in interest... I Didn't hear back from them... So I called the Repo company and Explained to them my Situation... Can you Believe the Repo Manager was Nicer than Drives reps... He told me that he would contact Drive to see the Status... He wanted to make sure that i was telling the truth... To cover his end... well on Oct 10 2009 my Car was repoed... So i automaticall called the repo company i was talking too... They told me that the Didn't Repo my car... That they received a Note from Drive to Put a Hold on the Repo because they was dealing with the customer... The repo guy told me to call the Sherriffs Dept... Which i did and was told that it was repoed and that it was Sustander who took it... the Sherriffs Dept told me to call a number they left with them... So I Called the Number and to my Surprise they gave the Sherriffs the Wrong Number and Didn't say what the name of the Repo company was... today 10-12-2209 i Called Drive and they told me they took the car and the Company that has it... they told me that i need to Pay them $2350 to get my car... Even after i told them Again that it should have been Paid on Aug 2006... The Note that Ms. Johnson said was on the Computer was No Longer in the System Per manager... Surprise? I am Not... So I Called the Repo company 5 times without any answers... After i finally talk to the Repo company... I wanted to get at Least my stuff from my car... My Kids couldn't go to school today because their stuff was in the car... The Lady told me to call back in a Hour to get what i need to pay to get my stuff... She told me they would charge $10 per bin to Inventory my Items per day... She asked someone and was told it should be only one Bin... and There would be a Handling Fee too but she said it would be Much... I Called an Hour before and was told to come with $150 For One day Storage of my Personal Items and Two Bins... They Charged me $130 for Handling fees to Inventory my Items... I Would like that Job... $130 per vehicle for how many hours if any? ONE! When I asked why so Much they Kept repeating that by Law they could charge that amount... then they also told me i Have 2 Days to Pick up my vehicle before they Take it 80 miles away to another location... But was told i have 25 days to pick up the Vehicle and that i would have to find a way down there to pick it up... I am rather Possed off with this Company and Will Not Ever do Business with them Again... I am Calling the BBB tomorrow and i am Speaking to a Lawyer tomorrow to see my Options... I Fell i being ripped off... One Last thing I Ran my Credit report today... They are telling me i Owe $1096 and 900 in other Fees... Why it on My Credit report they reported last week that I was Past Due $1096 and they Wrote off $1096... Wouldn't you think this would say Past Due $1096 and Wrote off $1996 Plus whatever fees... In My eyes they Wrote off $1096 and they Want $2350 to make more Money off me... Not only does the Credit report say i owe $1096 so does the Repo company... They said i Only owe $1096... Why is the Numbers Different? Well i am Going to Sleep it has been a Long Day... I Have another day of Fighting to get my car... I Hope No One who reads these Posts... DON'T USE this Company... let me tell u a story about drive finance co i purshased a truck from them 2 years ago ok still payin for it 02 gms. ok i file bankruptcy, paying my bill on time, whuy they didnt come get my bechicle while i were gone to the store, if it weren't for the repo man gettin the cops, his life were in jeporady because i were going to hurt him bad, you dont conme in nobody yard and do that then i had to go to charloytte to get my truck from aution.ok then my car substained damage to the door so my insurance co sent me a check in my name and drive name why in the hell they keopt my check and said they took it because i owed a repo fee, i have to get my lawyer to file a motion on this stuff. drive aint ### people dont know what u gettin into until u see the real deal..hard as people striving to survive they crazy. and the nasyiest talkin people i know especially judy brown, a bald head ### she is. she got to be having problems with her ugly husband.. they keep on newyork is going to them out anyway they have a plot to shoot um down. so if ny one owe them u will soon be free. i hope i will. they is a mess. not honest the dealership know what kind of people they are to deal with they is mafia in their own bank.. we know top notch people. be careful . geemen

i JUST WANT TO KNOW, AFTER PAYING 6 YEARS ON A CAR, ALL MY WIFE OWED WAS $ 1400.00 INTEREST, AND FEES ! WHICH SHE WAS TOLD TO PAY WHAT SHE COULD, IN THIS TIME OF TROUBLES, 6 MONTHS WITHOUT A JOB, , AND YOU WOULD NOT TAKE HER CAR, WELL u DID, YA KNOW WHAT americans THINK ABOUT YOU, NOT THE NAME " U ", U the downfall, now I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up the belongings in her car, 6 years, and only $ 1400.00 left, I guess U r not american, u r iraq, iranian, u must be, you be the only one's to ### americn's, so pay the price just want my property back...auctioneer going to be first...so don't auction cars off that U don't know might go_ _ _ _...L O L

LIFE IS GREAT, WHEN U KNOW U DON'T HAVE TO HIDE, LIFE IS THE BEST TO ROAM, AND NOT WORRY, WELL U PUT U R WHOLE COMPANY PERSONAL IN THIS LITTLE TINY PROBLEM I HAVE, CAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES, DOING UR DIRTY WORK, SO THEY MUST PAY AS WELL, EVIDENTLY THEY DON'T CARE SO bbbbbbb IT, OUT GOES THE LIGHTS THE PARTIES OVER, GOTTA HAVE EMPLOYEES, TO DO YOUR DIRTY WORK, lol

I totally agree with the complainant. Drive Financial/Santander Consumer took me through hell and back...Almost caused me a nervous breakdown. I relocated, and right after that, those ### took my car 2 days before Christmas. I have been fighting these crooks every since 12/23/09. I've written to them via fax, contacted the Dallas Better Business Bureau. I truly believe that the Dallas BBB and Drive Financial are in cahoots together, because there is no way you can grade this company an "A+" as much as they treat their customers. I got nothing resolved through the BBB. I contacted my company's Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and was referred to the Legal Service. Found a wonderful attorney whom is helping me get this matter resolved. He sent the crooks a demand letter, and I have also reported this company to the Department of Motor Vehicles, my State Consumer Protection Agency, and the Texas Office of Attorney General.

I was also told by my landlord that this company had no right to trespass and take my car; tow trucks was not allowed on the property. They could be charged for trespassing. I hope and pray that Drive Financial/Santander Consumer gets everything that will be coming to them soon. I would never finance a 3rd car from them again. I had the audacity to have 2 loans with these evil people. I pray that I get compensated for all that I've been through, and move on.

I fell behind, the were double charging me during my loan. Once they got the car, the adjusted the loan, they so called wrote off the remaining balance. Now they are banging on doors looking for me to pay what they wrote off.

Your bad credit left you with few options. So let me see if I understand what's going on. You didn't pay your bills in the past, you financed a vehicle with Drive, continued to miss payments, and had the audacity to complain. Are you [censor]ing serious? You people cause interest rates to soar. Would you like some advice? Quit financing things that you will never pay for. The United States should have shunned the [censor]ing dinner clubs that started all of this. For those that didn't study United States history, that's what started the use of credit in the U.S.

To the other customers, you know, the customers that actually paid, this is what you get for having bad credit. I don't feel sorry for any of you.

I was once a Drive Financial customer and I do agree that they are the worst company that I've ever dealt with. When I was only one month behind on my payment, they called my job and told anyone that answered the phone all my personal business. They called my job and my home several times a day. They called all of the references that I had given and told all about my being late. One of the customer service representatives told my supervisor to inform me that if I did not contact her that day, she would send the sheriff to my job to arrest me for nonpayment. That was going too far with the threats. I was harassed so bad by Drive Financial, that I was relieved when they came to pick up my car. I found another car the next month with another company and they never called my job or all my references when I was behind on a payment. I paid the other company off in less than three years because I was not harassed by them like DRIVE FINANCIAL. I know my credit report did not look good after Drive Financial took my car, but I felt like a weight was lifted off me once I no longer had to deal with Drive Financial. This is the rudest company I have ever had to deal with in my life. I still owe them $3, 000 after they auctioned off my car and they continued to send letters expecting me to pay this. The way they harassed me, they will be lucky if they get a penny out of me!

If your so proud to be employed by these crooks, why can't you give your full name, so we nice people can talk with another nice person!
There is a loop hole in how this business is being conducted, it's just a matter of time of finding it, and I will not stop looking until I do find it. Be it by myself, or with help from anyone that wants to help! This is not a legitamate business operation, you know it and anyone having to deal with them knows it.
Keep getting rich off the poor, your time is coming. What comes around goes around. It will hit this company, and hit it hard!
I haven't dealt with you personally, but my son has recently who has heart problems, and I gaurantee, this better not have a bad effect on him.

I HAVE PURCHASED MY CAR FROM A NEW CAR DEALER IN FL DRIVE DID FINANCE MY CAR I MADE EACH PAYMENT ON TIME FOR OVER A YEAR THEN ONE DAY I HAD CALL THEM AND TOLD THEM THAT I WILL BE LATE WITH MY PAYMENT AS I HAD BROKE MY BACK AND WAS WAITING ON INS TO PAY ME FOR TIME OFF WORK WELL THAT DAY THAT I CALL THEM THE VERY NEXT DAY THEY CAME AND PICK OF THE CAR FROM ME AND AT THAT TIME MY PAYMENT WAS NOT DUE FOR 30DAYS FROM THE DATE I HAD CALL WHEN I ASK THEM WHERE MY CAR WAS THEY TOLD ME IF I WANT IT BACK I WOULD HAVE TO PAY IN FULL THE TOTAL AMOUNT THAT I STILL OWE FOR IT I ASK THEM WHY AND WAS TOLD THAT IS HOW THIS WORKS PAY IT OR LEAVE IT I CALL EVERYBODY THAT I COULD ABOUT WHAT THEY DID AND NO ONE WOULD HELP ME THIS COMPANY GET AWAY WITH EVERY THING THEY DO AND NEED TO BE PUT OUT OF THE FINANCE ALL THEY DUE IS HURT ALL THAT HAS DEAL WITH THEM AND I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY.
