I recently purchased two Devon Rex kittens from Elizabeth Bolen of E & K Katz. Both kittens were extremely sick, vet stated both were very undernourished and thin. I did some research on this cattery and discovered that it is NOT registered with CFA even though she gives CFA papers out with kittens. It is also run under the name Beautymus Cattery with Karen Hill as owner. There are numerous reports on Rip Off Consumer Complaints regarding sick and dying kittens. The buyer of one of the litter mates to my kitten contacted me through Facebook to tell me that her kitten was extremely ill the day she got it and it died from FIP shortly after. This virus that the kittens have is contagious, my long time companion cat is now fighting for his life with a 105 degree fever. I have learned that they forge health certificates and transport sick kittens over state lines without health certificates. These people need to be stopped

I agree but it seems to be the norm for kittens coming from this cattery. As for a crime. I have contacted every single organization I can think of. Many heart broken buyers have contacted me to tell me their story. All are willing to testify, show pictures and vet records yet this cattery has once again changed their name and is busy selling kittens as the breeder put it "Christmas is their biggest season". Why is this NOT against the law ? And why doesn't somebody do something to help these cats.? That starving kitten was shipped to her new owner LOOKING like that because she was SICK. Standing by while aware of this abuse and doing nothing is a CRIME.

There are some cruel people with no conscious or hearts when they put kind souls like you in this position. I would file a complaint with animal welfare to help STOP these monsters. My heart goes out to you and the adorable little kitty cats! Stay strong and know - you can only handle one day at a time! Big Hugs! From another cat lover!

I was the owner of the kitten from Elizabeth Bolen, E & K Katz cattery, Beautymus cattery that had to be euthanized because of FIP. It was tremendously sad, and I spent over $2000 on a kitten I fell in love with, only to learn that he could not be saved. I did the best thing for him, to not prolong his suffering.

I have insomnia, so I see the videos of neglected and starved pets, and want to save them all.
But this picture of a Devon Rex is an absolute crime.

Please file a formal complaint with Chatham County Animal Welfare, [protected] if you have purchased a kitten or puppy in Siler City. Cricket and I will make sure these people will be out of business, if we have to go to the door with the authorities.

I filed a complaint with Chatham County Animal Welfare in December 2013. Supposedly a house/cattery visit was conducted and they didn't find anything amiss. My kitten died of FIP - which if you read the literature doesn't show up right away and occurs because of bad genes and too many cats coming in contact with the Feline Coronavirus through sharing litterboxes and living spaces. Nothing was done to stop this bad cattery when I filed my complaint. That these people are still breeding and selling sick and dying kittens is very cruel. I wish someone would please shut this place down. I've attached a picture of my kitten - what you can't see is that he is all skin and bones. I got so desperate for him to eat and drink that I eventually bought a nursing bottle (and finally a syringe) to try to get him to take some baby kitten formula. We had to humanely put him to sleep because he was so sickly. I gave Karen Hill and Elizabeth Bolen the benefit of the doubt but when I read that they did this again
