Edible Arrangements horrendous customer service

My boyfriend decided to surprise me with one of edible arrangements bouquets for valentine's day. He pre-ordered, and when he went to the store to pick it up, the customer service representatives could not find his order. After keeping him waiting for twenty minutes, they went into the back and the owner then accused him of already picking up his order and attempting to get another one for free. Despite having no proof to substantiate such an accusation and his insistence that he did not already pick it up, the owner of the store rudely insisted that he did. Disgusted, mauricio angrily told the owner that he wanted to cancel the order and was told that the order could not be canceled because it was already made, and a bouquet was practically thrown at him "just to get [him] out of [there] . "

This was the fourth or fifth bouquet that mauricio has bought for me, and we have been consistently delighted with the products. I have glowingly recommended the service to friends, family and coworkers. I sincerely regret doing so, as I would hate to think that anyone else may receive the same kind of treatment that my boyfriend did. Needless to say, they not only lost us as customers, but I will now tell every single person I associate with about our experience, and that my boyfriends integrity was questioned so he could be accused of trying to steal from the store and was treated appallingly.

Edible Arrangements wow, incredible bad customer service

I saw the ad for edible arrangements so thought I would try them out. I went to the web site, selected a product and hit "purchase". The site flashed and no order number or acknowledgement followed. I hit purchase again (Against my better judgement) and got the same result. Here is where it gets good

I called the number and explained my issue. Without an order number they couldn't help me. I told the the site flashed but spit out no order number. She told me to call back in 30 minutes when the "system updated". I called back, waited on hold for 30 minutes, hung up and called back and finally got someone. She asked for my order number. I explained the whole thing all over again and she asked me what store the order went to. I reiterated that the site flashed me so I had no idea if the order went through, or what store it went to.

She proceeded to read me the stores it "probably" went to and told me I should call them. Wow what customer service.

In the end I have no idea if the order went through but I will be refusing if they do. Customer service was a joke, this company seems like it is run from someone's kitchen and they let their grandson build them a website.

Stay away.

Worst experience ever. I decided to order an arrangement for my mother's birthday and never delivered. I called local store that would deliver to make sure delivery was scheduled. They said arrangement was on the truck and would be delivered. This was around 10 am and by 9 pm no one ever showed up. They claimed to have attempted to deliver but since we were there all day and my mother has a dog that barks at anyone that pulls into the driveway, they are liars. Don't ever order from this company

It was my birthday. The snow was falling heavily. We had to cancel going out for dinner that evening. How delighted I was when the delivery lady brought the "Just Because Bouquet" to my front door. Absolutely delicious. Would recommend...totally. Grammy D.

Yesterday I received the large arrangement of fruit, plus a box of the chocolate dipped fruit slices. I was WOW-ed. The presentation was beautiful and filled with fruit of all types. The box contained 12 extremely large pieces of chocolate dipped Granny Smith apples, bananas and strawberries. I am not really that fond of apples but they turned out to be my favorite. The delivery driver was exceptionally professional and personable. Put me down for a really big WOW. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to provide a special treat for someone. Thanks to everyone involved!

I received two boxes of chocolate dipped strawberries as a gift for my birthday. They were so delicious that I decided to make an order myself for the next holiday that was about to come up. I ordered a beautiful platter of the same to be served for desert on Easter Sunday to my guests! My family and friends all were delighted, as I was with them! They were so YUMMY!

Edible Arrangements horrible service

Ae in columbia, maryland never delivered arrangement and did not tell me delivery was not made. Had delivery set for 9/11 ea called and said they couldn't do - that was fine w/me go ahead and deliver 9/12. On tuesday when I found out never delivered, they said they tried sat 9/12 and sun 9/13 and left door announcements. Recipient said they did not - was home all day, no delivery attempt. No attempt and no notice. I assumed delivery was made... No communication 9/14 or 9/15. Website says "successful delivery" it was a lie. Never delivered. Called again to make sure I am not charged (Not cheap btw). This company in columbia maryland sucks. They don't even care when called out. Never appologized. Horrible service horrible company. Will never attempt to use again.

Edible Arrangements ruined anniversary surprise

I placed an order last week for our 9th anniversary. I told the lady on the phone that it was a surprise gift and I wanted it delivered to my wife's place of employment. She told me no problem but that she couldn't give me an exact time that it would be delivered but if I called on the day of delivery that I could get a closer time frame. So, I made the call and they told me it would be delivered between 11:00 and 1:00. At 1 I called my wife to see if anything had been delivered to her. While we were talking she got a call from the delivery driver saying that he may be able to make it by 4:00. There went the surprise because he can't figure out that big balloon with the arrangement means surprise.
I call the store and instead of putting the manager on the phone, they go get the driver who has more excuses than carter has liver pills. He couldn't understand how he ruined the surprise by calling my wife and telling her he is the edible arrangements delivery guy. His exact comment was "she knows that she is getting something from edible arrangements but she doesn't know what it looks like. " I almost dropped the phone! As I stated to him, it's not like edible arrangements delivers jewlery or a car. He still couldn't figure it out.
This was the first and only time that I will use their service for anything.

I don't much like these flower delivery ripoffs... I doubt the fruit is even washed, but why are these people giving out the spouse's/boyfriend's phone number? How dumb do you have to be if you don't consider that they are going to call the number you provide.

I ordered an arrangement today for my boyfriend as a surprise in Venice FL. The store called him to say their truck was broken and the could not deliver it until tomorrow. Well, so much for the surprise. He called me to tell me this, I did not get an email telling me this, but I did get an email telling me they were not accepting my coupon code after the computer accepted it because the code was avaialble on coupon websites. I was not going to do anyhting until I got the email. They were going to deliver it a day late, AND they were going to charge me MORE. I wasted no time shooting off an email on their corporate site. Somehow the Venice, FL store was going to be able to deliver the arrangement today after 5. $12.00 delivery fee and I mapquested it, it is 4.8 miles and 8 minutes away. This is not the end of this. I will be contactiong them again about this. Buyer beware and don't give a phone number out if it is a surprise, because it won't be for long.

Edible Arrangements poor service - unauthorized charges

I do NOT reccomend this store. I have ordered twice from them and both times there was a problem. The management is unwilling to address any issues. My first order was missing items. Not a big deal as it was only a balloon at the cost of $3.50. I contacted the store throught the website. No one bothered to even respond. I guess they were really heart up for my extra three dollars. The second order involved an erroneous charge to my credit card for over $300. The emplyee said only the manager was authorized to credit the charge. Several calls to the store and the manager was never avaialble. Come to find out that she was out for an extended period of time with no projected date of return. I was told there was nothing anyone else could do about the charge. Additionally, the people I did get to speak to were rude.

Edible Arrangements coupon scam

I used an on-line coupon for a $5 discount off of my order and it was applied to my order. I received a receipt via email with the discount showing. When I received my bank statement a few weeks later, the $5 discount was not applied and I was charged the higher amount.

I called the store and was told that the coupon was NOT valid in Colorado, however, the coupon itself did not indicate this nor did I receive an email or phone indicating that the coupon was not valid prior to the amount being charged to my card. The store refused to honor the discount at all even though they charged me $12 to deliver a $25 item three miles away.

It is hard to believe they can stay in business with such poor customer service and lack of empathy when dealing with questions and concerns from customers. Not too mention the outrageous delivery fee. I will not give Edible Arrangements anymore of my business and will do what I am able to sway everyone else I interact with to have flowers delivered instead.

Edible Arrangements horrible customer service - they ruin surprises

These people are ###s. I have never in my life had a delivery service call to tell me they are coming with a "surprise" for me...much less tell me I have to be available at THEIR convenience. My step-daughter in Hawaii was going to surprise me with a basket here in Florida for my birthday, and told them when she placed her order that no one would be home until after 4 p.m. It is at that point -- even via e-mail -- these irresponsible jerks should have told her they could not promise a delivery time. She would have then gone elsewhere and ordered something else.
What do they do insead? They call me and leave a msg on my home voicemail, which I just happened to check at lunch time. They tell me who they are and WHAT they are delivering to me, and that it's for my birthday (surprise!), AND who it is from. Then they tell me they can't deliver at 4 or after...oh, my, and this is fresh fruit...what to do..what to do.
What jerks. I will NEVER order anything from them, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.
They tried to blame the whole fiasco on my step-daughter. Great customer service. Edible Arguments might be eating their own words in this economy. They'll probably go belly up because people don't need to spend their hard earned cash on crappy service like this. The birthday gift became about hiding from my step-daughter what happened; otherwise she would have justifiably blown a gasket.

Ummm... yeah, the delivery driver has to confirm that you are going to be at the destination they are going to. If you are not there that is a wasted trip for them and also you would have to pay for another delivery charge if you were not there so they actually did you a favor... people are so stupid... This place is really bad. My fiance called to find out why I received a white bear instead of the nice brown bear that he had ordered and why they included the price sheet of the order that he placed. I shouldn't see what he paid for the item! You don't solicit that way. The woman had a horrible disrespectful attitude and said it was a $20 bear and they ran out of the brown bear. It came in a crumpled up bag and they didn't even complete the card that came with this crappy bear. It looks like a bear from a claw vending machine. It was really bad. He paid $75 for 12 chocolate strawberries and 1 bear. That is a rip off! The strawberries were great. But this woman was horrible. My fiance is very nice and shy, so he decided to email corporate because this girl was so bad to talk to. The email to the corporate office went to Crystal Lake. The woman called my boyfriend, left him a 2 minute and 40 second voicemail. I wish I could post that on here. It's unbelieveable. Poor, unprofessional attitude. She said she doesn't know what he is complaining about, you can call the manager but she is not going to refund your money, the white bear is nicer.., etc. 2 minutes and 40 seconds! She didn't even speak proper English. It would have been nice for them to call my fiance and tell him of the change, NOT just change the order. The white bear is cheap and very very ugly! In addition, my fiance got this email after the voicemail: I'M VERY SORRY IF YOU FELT THAT THE CSR PERSON WAS RUDE. EVERYONE ONE'S ORDER HAD A PHAMPHLET ON IT BECAUSE IT HAS A COUPON ON IT FOR PEOPLE TO USE ON THEIR NEXT ORDER UNTIL FEB. 29, 2012. WE DID NOT HAVE ANYMORE MORE DAISY BEARS SO WHEN SENT A BEAR WITH VALENTINE'S DECORATIONS INSTEAD. THE COST OF THAT BEAR IS $20.00. YOU PAID $12.00. I'M SORRY BUT WE CAN NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND FOR YOUR WHOLE ORDER. WE CAN REFUND YOU FOR THE BEAR ONLY, WHICH IS $12.00. THANK YOU! PLEASE CALL THE STORE SO WE CAN REFUND YOU YOUR $12.00. [protected]. We have you on voicemail and email to post everywhere!

Edible Arrangements terrible service

My mother got me an edible arrangement for my 26th birthday. I was wicked excited when she told me. Well we went to bingo that night and when we got back it turned out the guy tried to deliver it to our house and we were not there. That was ok, because they said they would come the next day. Around noon the next day she called and asked them when it would be here and they said it is being put on the truck now and will be there soon.

3 hours went by I called and asked and they said it is still on the truck. Then another 2 hours later we called again and it was still on the truck. It was wicked hot that day and I was getting mad. They kept telling us it was on it's way but it wasn't. My mom said I paid a lot of money for that to be delivered not to be riding around in a truck all day. The lady said mam the truck is refrigerated. My mother said I don't care it was still on there all day and my daughter has been waiting and it's not right.

Finally at 4pm the driver called and said he would be there in an hour cause he got lost. How could we have gotten lost when we live within a 30minute walking distance from them and a 5 minute drive from them. We finally got the arrangement an hour later and immediately called the company to complain.

What made us mad was they kept telling us it was on it's way when it wasn't. Not worth the hassle.

Maybe you should be home on the day that the delivery was scheduled. If you were expecting something from UPS and it had to have a signature, you'd wait on it and there is NO ONE that can tell you when it will get there. 4pm is not bad.

Edible Arrangements poor quality fruit!

Buyer beware! I received a fruit arrangement and the majority of the fruit was not ripe. The honeydew and cantelope were visibly not ripe. When you tried to eat them, they were as hard as a rock. The cutout pineapple flowers were very pretty but were brown around the edges. The only fruit that we were able to eat were the strawberries and the grapes. Needless to say, it was a very expensive arrangements for two spears of grapes and six strawberries.

I received the arrangement on a sunday and I had a very busy few days at work. On friday I called the local franchise that made and delivered it to me. I had to call the store 2x before the owner finally called me back.In a nutshell he told me that, "he owns his own business and he makes time to take care of his problems, because I didn't call earlier, he would do nothing for me. " I couldn't believe how obnoxious and rude he was to me. I reminded him that I was a repeat customer and I feel that he should do something for me. He restated no and that was that!

The owners name is michael and I would stay far far away from this franchise. He does not appreciate his customers and he does not stand behind his product!

Buyer beware!

I agree with Elise! Every business makes mistakes from time to time, the important thing is how the business handles it. I have gotten items from Edible Arrangements several times. 99% of the time, everything is perfect, but if there is an issue they do fix it for you. I have dealt with mostly the Orange County NY locations and they have been nothing but great. If the stores in other locations are bad, then it is because the owner or manager doesn't care enough. You can't generalize all stores because of bad experiences with the one near you.

I'm sorry to hear the one in New York is no good. We have two in Huntsville, Alabama and they are great! I have gotten this for many occasions from funeral dinners to wedding receptions and even once for a church dinner and all of them were wonderful. Edible Arrangements poor customer service!

The product is very cute but the customer service at the franchisees (At least at far hills, nj) and at the corporate office have had us tell them not to deliver to us! A friend wanted to send us one of their baskets of fruit to thank me for helping them with some pc problems (I know how to fix pcs... If you can't tell, I can't make nice looking websites! But the content, at least here is what counts).

So the far hills office calls to tell us they will be delivering a gift. I ask who it's from 3 times and it wasn't till I hung up on them and they called back, did they tell me on the 4th request who it was from. And this is cut fruit (Hopefully fresh) so you shouldn't leave it outside too long. So I ask 'when will you be coming / can we set a time' for you to drop this off? She tells me 'no, we can't commit to a time!' we're supposed to stay home all day for this?!

As much as I am a kid at heart, i've cut fruit pieces and pb&j sandwiches in different shapes, and this would be our first edible arrangements basket, I tell her we don't want the delivery. She should call the people sending the gift to thank them but the recipient doesn't want it because edible arrangements customer service is pitiful. She says ok (Quite willingly, with no qualms) and I hang up.

I want to let their corporate office know how a franchisee is annoying (At least) one customer. Their website has no corporate phone number. I call the livingston, nj locaiton and get the corporate 800 number. I google the company and find the president's name. Calling at 8:15am, I dial by name and get a recording that is out of the office till october 16th. If you need immediate assistance, call cheryl at a 7 digit extension?! No, that doesn't work in their phone system. A phone number? What's their f_ing area code.

More searches on google. Ah, 203... Dial that number - it'll take me right to cheryl's line!? No! That's their f_ing switchboard. Ok, I can dial by name, like I did for the president. It wants you to dial by last name!? What the f___! Cheryl only left her first name on that recording.

For more information check out my website I set up to warn others about the lame customer service from edible arrangements: http://www.Ediblearrangementssucks.com/

I ordered apple donuts and a cone of strawberries. Took a bite of one of the donuts and saw there was still a produce sticker on the apple underneath the chocolate! For the amount charged, one would think the order would be handled better. Is that not something workers check on the fruit before they start preparing the order? Very disappointed! :(
