I just received a charge on my bank account for 159.95 from this company 4/26/07. They stated that I fill out this info on the 19th of April agreeing that I wanted this, but was charge a week later. I was looking on a payday loan and got several pop ups and I got out b/c decided not to after I put my info there. They will not refund my money and they are stating that I need to file a police report.

Yes we have also been had by EDP card, but we also got taken for another $159.00 at the same time and I'm still trying to figure out who they are and of course because of these beging withdrawn our account, it is bouncing all over the place and we are having a hard time getting it straight. My husband was online when this happened, he said it had the info, but he closed out of it. So low and be hold it's gone, this all took place on the 24th april and here it is the 27th but the charge didn't show up until the 26th. Go figure, I'm still after them, they said we didn't qualify for a refund, I'm also going after them for the bank charges also.

I can't believe it! I called my bank to check the balance and found that a withdrawal had been made out of my checking account for $159 and some change. I had applied online for a payday loan and was offered a credit card. As I read the fine print on the card I decided against it because the fees were ridiculous. I simply closed the window for the card but WHAM! Who would have thought they would be able to swipe money from my account like that. I'm astounded, this is unbelievable. It looks like I'm not the only one who got taken advantage of. If anyone knows how to contact these jerks please let me know!

I see that there are numerous people who have been ripped off by this company. Not sure how they got your info, you either... a) applied online for a payday loan or b) applied for what you thought was a credit card. They got me too. I have been fighting with them for a week. You can trying reaching them thru the website edpreporting.com. I sent 15 emails in one day and they finally responded. They won't issue a refund unless you file a police report. Once you do that they will submit proof that you did indeed apply for something. (they capture your IP address) I filed a fraud report with my bank. I'm hoping my bank will give me back my money. I then had the bank freeze my account from allowing debits. It will however allow credits just in case I get my money back. I then demanded that EDP send me the card that I paid for. If you demand they cancel the order, they will, and your out all your money. By demanding the card, you at least only lose $59.95, unless you actually called them, which they charge you for. It will take 15-20 days for you to get the card. I'm praying that I get a refund from my bank and then the card too. Small victory but a victory none the less. They will continue to debit your account. I strongly suggest freezing or closing the account they stole from. Hope this helps somebody. Tried contacting them to no avail? Here are two email addresses jasmine@edpreporting.com or constantino@edpreporting.com. If nothing else you can blow up their email. Good luck to all. :-)

I also got scammed by this company. I was applying for some credit cards and a pop up ad appeared with my banking information on it so I exited out of that screen along with the credit card I was applying for. I went to get some gas with my banking debit card and it was declined. I went home and checked my balance an i was negative over 450.00 in my checking account from some edp card I had never signed up to receive. I tried to report fraudulent activity with my bank who is Bank of America( higher standards my ###) and they told me there was nothing for me to do because if they gave everybody there money back how would they stay in business. Just my luck too, trying to get in touch with this credit card company is a good as tits on a bull. Just in the last hour I tried to call them every five minutes and either nobody is there or they are helping other customers... doubt that option. I wrote many emails trying to get a copy of my application and my ip address to prove I didn't sign up for it. Unfortunately there isa 3 day period where you can cancel didn't help me out since they are closed on weekends and it was approved on Friday morning and the 3rd day would have been Sunday. So basically I was forced to freeze my account with the bank so I know owe them 462.83 and I do not even know if I will be receiving this card. That's okay because I have just contacted our local news team about it and I will be exposing both the credit card agency and Bank of America.

My bank called and said i am overdrawn. I discover a charge for 159.95 knowing i never authorized any such charge, i contacted exchange bank of gibbon, ne. Nothing they could do until tuesday, since monday is memorial day. The charge turned out to be from edp. I remember i applied online for a credit card then closed the screen when i found out the outrageous charges. The card i applied for was the acclaim visa card. Can i get this money back into my bank? My wife and child have williams syndrome and we cannot afford to loose any money on a scam like this! Please help! We do not want to starve! This precious family needs my 24 hour care! Should i close my bank account? If i do that, the small social security check we have to live on will not go through. It takes about three months to get our income back together after an event like this happens. I have no family to call for help. My e-mail address is: markrobinson@nctc.net my phone number is:[protected] thank you for your time. Sincerely yours, mark, barbara and shelly robinson

We were ripped for $159.85 too! THIS IS A HUGE SCAM. I Goolged them and their are hundreds of THOUSANDS of complaints about people getting ripped off by their fraud. Their "customer service" website is www.epdreporting.com

They claim they are working with Bank of America, Wells Fargo, First Data, and a few other banks to FIGHT FRAUD! HA. We called our Bank of America and they CLAIM that they no NOTHING about this company... who is telling the truth?

Here is the address we found:
EDEBITPAY, LLC
5301 LAUREL CANYON BLVD., STE. 132
VALLEY VILLAGE, CA 91607 (Los Angeles)
They also go uder the name EDP Technologies... Contact@edptechnologies.com
In addition, they claim they are also based in Scottsdale, Arizona?

EVERYONE NEEDS TO CALL THEIR BANKS AND RAISE HOLY HELL!

I had the same thing happen to me. I was browsing around for a cash advance loan and was offered a credit card and like yourself I closed the window out because of the fees that applied. I checked my bank account and $159.95 was taken out. I called my bank and they submitted some paperwork to see who was taking out of my account without my permission.

It was EDP card located at:

145 s. fairfax avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90036 their website is:
www.edpreporting.com

I immediately closed my checking account and re opened a new one and my bank was able to get me my money back. Hopefully yours can do the same.

Regards,
Jenny in NYC

I too got ripped off by these people, I was trying to get a payday loan so that I could buy some food for when my sister returned from Iraq. I called customer service and they told me that I did authorize it, help me I don't know what to do! All I wanted was a little extra money to celebrate my sisters return from fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq. Someone help me please!

Same thing happened to me! I went online, trying to get a cash advance.instead of a cash advance, i had cash taken from my account, for 2 prepaid debit cards, totaling over 200! I didn't authorize these, and my bank is working on solving this problem. If i applied for a cash advance, and didn't get it, what makes these people think i have money i can throw away on prepaid debit cards that you can only use online?!

The same thing has happened to me I went online to check my balance and i was in the negative, I knew i had enough to cover my checks that I wrote. Then i received a letter from my bank saying that a charge for 159.95 was sent back due to NSF which charged me 35.00. Then bounced one of by checks giving me another NSF fee I have emailed the company but I don't think that they will get back to I will present this to the better businesses. The number the bank gave me was [protected] good luck getting through.

I was applying for a payday loan and they withdrew $159.oo from my bank account without my consent. I did not have this money in there, so I was charged $44.00 for overdrafts. I would like to get my money back and stop these crooks from doing this again to anyone.

EDP Card debited 159.95 out of my account. This caused an over draft in my account. I tried to call and was unsuccessful. I have also emailed them but have not gotten a response. I do have a confirmation number from my account. I don't know what EDP CARD services are.

I got a statement from my old bank today that a check for $159.95 had been returned because I didn't have the funds. I haven't used that account in over 3 months since I moved, and only had 54 cents in it. I never authorized anything, and now I can't even get through to the company. I have tried calling three times, and have waited at least 10 minutes each time, just to be told no one could help me and to go to their website. So I try their website and it keeps directing me to different search sites. Completely bogus. I was charged an overdraft charge by my bank because of this.

The same thing happened to me on August 1.I received a paper saying my account was overdrawn. I suggest file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Usually the banks won't help int his matter. I filed a complaint and BBB will contact the company for you. It is nice knowing I am not the only one.

I received this worthless debit card in the mail that 99.00 was taken out of my checking account for and now I can't seem to talk to any one about this. What the ### is going on with these people and why were they allowed to take 99.00 out of my acct. for a debit card I do not need nor do I want? I have a debit card through my bank, why would I need this one? I not only want but I need my money back because of this I bounced a check for my rent and now have to pay all kinds of extra money I don't have plus the99.00 that's missing! Who in god's name do I talk to about this ###?
