I would not reccomend empire floors to anyone having flooring done either rug or laminate or even hardwood.
From the begining it was a nightmare. First the salesman wrote down the wrong product. When they came to install my laminete flooring and had put down half of the floors I noticed on the box of flooring that the product they were putting down stated that it was a 15 year product. I halted the instalation and the boss of the crew called a manager and after some wrangeling he stated that he had authorisation to offer me a 25 year waranty on the flooring to which I accepted.
After two years I noticed that several of the panels were starting to peel. I contacted the company and got the run around for two weeks until I stated that I would have to contact my attorney. In two days a gentlemen from the company came and looked at the floors and stated that he was going to put a moisture meter on the areas of damage. The meter read that there was some moisture present. I stated to him that my wife had just cleaned the floors prior to his arrival with the mop and cleaner that we purchased from the installer and of course there was some moisture showing. Then he stated in one of the peeling areas that possibly the dishwasher was leaking through the wall and cause this moisture.
The next few days I waited for a call and low and behold a represenative from the company called and stated that in thier opinion it was damage caused by the customer and that they would not be responsible for the repair. I told them I pulled out the dishwasher and the area was bone dry and had no signs of leaking and the other moisture was caused by the cleaning of the floors prior to the inspectors arrival with thier mop and product.
Guess what... They turned a deaf ear to my objection and you guessed it... They would fix the floors for $400.00... Oh what a surprise... That is the oldest trick in the book.
But the best part is yet to come...In my condo building is two other units wanting laminate floors and I directed them to another company so they lost a couple of thousand dollars there... And the internet where I work has thier own private chat room of 26, 000 strong where I might post this story... For every dollar I spent it will cost them thousands.

they wouldn't even give me an estimate because my mom wasn't there at the time. I'm 50 years old and quite capable of making the decision but still no prices. Then they put me on their auto dialer system to harass me with recorded messages. When I called to complain they said it would take ten days to remove me from their system. Never again, and I'm letting everyone I can get to sit still know all about these jerks.
