After a family history of 5 successful au pairs, this agency provided us with 3 au pairs in a row who had no interest in fulfilling even the most minimal responsibilities. When we documented complaints the first time, they said we could not rematch because there were no girls available - we were later told by agency personnel that this was a lie. The au pair was supposedly the highest level of au pair available, supposedly a teacher, yet she had not one experience with children prior to coming here. All stated credentials were falsified. When we asked to rematch the second time, they said it was too late. A month later, when the "highest level" au pair was still not working even her minimal 25 hours a week, they finally agreed to rematch, thus proving that their policies are meaningless. The next au pair took 2 weeks sick time off of work yet was able to continue going out with friends and going to school. While she was off sick, she repeatedly asked for up to 5 times the allowable vacation, all during the school year which defeated the whole purpose of why we have an au pair. The final au pair overspent her bank account, ran red lights, set off our fire alarm by cooking irresponsibly, and almost killed my nut allergic son. The day after agreeing to a two week notice, she left the house with a man she met on the internet and was never heard from again. The agency refused to refund the remaining 50% of fees I paid for time the au pairs left us without child care. I will never use this agency.

Host Families, please be careful when signing up with Euraupair. They are only interested in taking your money. They do not screen their au pairs carefully. We had an au pair who supposidely was infant qualified. She was very happy at first caring for our two girls, ages 2 and 5 months, but within a month, after talking to other aupairs, she realized she could have an easier schedule caring for older children. So she told us that she could not care for the baby anymore, because it was exhausting to care for the baby while watching a 2 year old, that she is very tired all the time, and needed to rematch with a family who had an older child or simply go back to her home country. It took the au pair and I a full week to get hold of the counselor, and when we did, even though the au pair stated clearly that she could not care for an infant, the agency tried to blame us for the au pair's failure. They tried to rematch us with other au pairs, who claimed to be infant qualified, only to find out from interviewing them, or from the counselor that they were not. The agency could not match us with in country infant care qualifed au pairs. And waiting for at least a month for an out of country au pair to arrive was going to be a hardship for us (we both are full time working parents, and need someone to care for the girls). So we quit the program and requested that the company reimburses us all of the money we paid them upfront because they failed to provide us with the service they promised; an infant care qualified au pair. The agency refused and only reimbursed part of the money per their refund policy. We now are $3500.00 short. Awful agency to work with.

OMG, We had the same experience with Euraupair. We a Ukrainian aupair who had absolutely no interest in our children. She racked up over 300 dollars in phone bills in her first month. When not on the phone she was on the computer with her webcam. We got so nervous that we had to get spywares installed on our computer to see what she was doing. This showed us how much time she spent on the computer when she was supposed to be taking care of the kids. Out of several aupairs, she was the one and only aupair that we have had to wake up in the morning. After 4 months, she got rid of her and she was replace by an equally incompetent Mexican aupair who was extremely dull and devoid of any initiative or personality whatsoever. This Mexican aupair had been fired from a family where she was for 4 months. She expected us to pay her full tuition and vacation even though she was going to be with us for 8 months only. We contacted Euraupair several times for help in resolving this issue and figure out how much tuition and vacation this 8 month aupair should get and got none. They would not even return my calls. Our Mexican girl got very insolent and hostile so we had to let her go. Through these 2 aupairs, we got little or no support from Euraupair from the local rep to the Regional. Euraupair was not intersted as long as they got our money. Eurapair provided us with 8 mos service and refused to refund our money. We have since switched to aupair international and cut out all the drama.
