I just recently signed up for EZ pass in NY and was informed that 2 of my 3 vehicles are registered to another persons EZ pass. When I inquired at first I was told to fax the registrations to the correspondance office which I did. When I made a follow up call I was told by someone different that I could not put those on my account. How is that right? The lady was rude as ever kept telling me to call back in 7 to 10 days until they recieve my fax. So sick of rude unprofessional people when I have concerns over my personal info being used by someone else!

recently attempted to set up an EZPass NY account online. I'm Canadian.

I followed all the prompts and input all the information and submitted the form numerous times to have the form come up with unavailable try again later. After getting frustrated tried again next day. Same thing. Called and sat on hold and was then told it couldn't be set up with a Canadian address? My husbands had been set up earlier in the year and had issues, called in and they set it up over the phone. I was told it couldn't be done keep trying. More tries and called again. This time I was told to set up the account using a false New York address and then to change the address after I set up the account. I expressed concern over falsifying the information and was again told couldn't be done over the phone. More tries, with and without fake address, CC wasn't accepted with fake address, and form unavailble with correct info. Then I called and was transfered to 'retail' which told me he has nothing to do with it and to purchase a transponder and then he could help. Looked up where I could get one and went out and bought it. They would only take cash no CC or debit card. Set it up today. This afternoon looking at my credit card statement there are 9 holds for the $25 on my card. Now I am again on hold waiting to find out if they are going to charge my credit card the nine times or release the holds. I'm not expecting much help from customer service as the 4 women I spoke to in regards to the attempt to set up the account were less than helpful and quite rude. Why does ESPass even have an option to set up the Canadian account if it can't be done? Oh did I mention the ezpass costs only $4 us to cross into Canada but if you pay cash it's $8 US or $10.25 CAD because they actually want you to use the transponder? What a pain in the a this has been.
