September 2023 my husband and I lost our insurance through his company when he transitioned from company driver to lease purchase. We found Freedom Life Insurance and started to go with them until we found out that I wouldn't be covered on the same policy as my husband due to one health concern. We also found out that the premium would be more than originally quoted. On October 6, 2023 (after canceling our policies) Freedom Life withdrew $616.50 from our bank account. When I questioned them about it I heard several different excuses. They finally informed me that my husband would have to call to cancel the policy in which he did on October 9, 2023. They said they would reimburse us the $616.50 by check and it would take 3 weeks to arrive.
Today, November 7,2023 Freedom Life Insurance withdrew another $616.50 from our bank account. They did not cancel my husbands policy!
Claimed loss: All together we have lost $1300.00 that needs to be reimbursed to us.
Desired outcome: We would like the policy to be canceled and our money returned ASAP!!
