This company, under contract, promises to deliver vending machines with locations after payment. The quality of the locations are:" businesses with at least 30 employees or high traffic areas." They delivered ours to a place with 5 employees and very little traffic. Our vending machine gives us $5 every two weeks. The other machine sits in our garage. We ordered 5 total to begin with, but after seeing the track record, we canceled the other 3. We told them we wanted our money back for the 3. In the contract it stated full refund if they didn't comply with what they promised. They returned all but $800. They said it was interest, but they didn't finance it. The credit card company did. We hoped for help through credit card co., but, Gaines is smart. They had credit card co. deposit cash into our checking account and then us write a check to Gaines. Do you suppose they have learned this through other dissatisfied customers? Anyway, the credit card co. couldn't help us and we still owe them the $800. I want others to know how this company operates. They will tell you anything to get your money. They show a good front with their website and they are very smooth talkers, but don't believe what you see or hear. They will rip you off!

Yes, you guessed it, they had to go under another name: Gaines Vending is now Fortune Vending. Their phone number is [protected]. YOU CAN CHECK THE WEBSITE - FortuneVending.com. They are still in Great Neck, NY and the same people are still there. I hope you can send in the feds. They are a company that does not stand behind their product. The positive comments must be from someone who works there or has some stock in the company. I have never dealt with such a lousy company, and I have been in business for over 35 years. They are a bunch of liars and I never got any satisfaction from the BBB. BUYER BEWARE!

I disagree with the comments made about Gaines Vending. They have been a very good company and have delivered what they promised.I purchased 17 vending machines from them, 1 year ago, and purchased an additional 13, 3 months ago.All machine are working perfectly, and the locations are superb. They even replaced two of my locations that wre not doing o good for free.

In vending if you want to make money, sometimes you have to travel a bit. You can not epect to make money by having the vending machine less than one mile away from your house. my machines are spread over a radius of 10 miles. It takes me about 50 minutes to service all of them, and best of all i smile all the waya to the bank.

I highly reccomend doing business with Gaines vending. They are a very reputable company.

I find the comments made about Gaines vending ridiculous.

Its not true that they give you bad locations. Did you ask for a relocation. They gadly provide you with a relocate, in less than 72 hours. As far as im concerned, they deliver the machine for you indoors, set it up for you, and even provide technical support for your machines. I had my machine damaged on delivery, and Gaines sent me a brand new 2008 machine instead, and also a bonus check of $75 to cover for my firt time fill up. How kind is that.

Responding to Cindy Karasek`s comments, i think indy made an error when she was picking her locations. Gaines vending only sends machines to the locations that you approve for them to ship your brand new machine to.

It seems as if, you didnt take your time to tur all the locations gaines vending provided you.If you actually took time to tour these locations and meet with the owners, you wouldnt be making $5 a week. My machines rack in each over $150 a week in net profits. This company has been in business for 45 years now. If you try contacting them, they will re address your problems. Their customer service department is incredible.

I ordered a machine through gaines myself and they gave me a crap location. So I complianed nothing was done so I went to the BBB and filed a compliant-Which their BBB rating is unsatisfactory and they have many other complaints- Such as on [redacted].com. I called these guys every week and they didnt do anything until I went to the BBB then they called me FOR THE FIRST TIME... and said oh well we were trying to work with you but you would work with us...RIGHT. atleast take the blame and say your sorry. Either way I just received my new location we will see how it works out. I would never have gotten involved with this company if I knew this would be a hastle. Here is a hint for anyone that wants to work with Gaines-Check out the BBB and see all the complaints. That guy above was the only person I know that said something good about gaines.

... By the way the nice comments were probably from someone who works at Gaines. Interesting how all 3 comments were sent on the same day. THE BBB DOESN'T LIE.-over 200 compliants I think there is something the company needs to work on. I

The company is garbage------ gaines vending----- they are under another allies -- they were shut down before and were charged with fraud. If you still owed a refund from themyou need to contact the Attorney General of New York at Attorney General State of New York Nassau Regional office 200 old country rd. suite 460 Mineola, N.Y. 11501 ---- they will be your only method to getting your refund fast.

I think the problems they face are not neccesarily true. Most of them are caused by the locator, not Gaines, Their machines are great, and so is their service.

I have seen the same people listed on numerous complaint boards, Curtis Daneker is one of them and i think they just want to ruin Gaines reputation. But i commend them for not changing their name like many other companies. Ofcourse a company will have problems with customers, and thats how they learn

PS, the Better Business Bereau is biased towards, the customer, and is not neutral. They assume every customer has been ripped off without doing proper investigation. The Better Business bereau is also a private organisation. Think about it.

GAINES VENDING IS A RIP-OFF. ME AND A FRIEND BOUGHT 3 MACHINES FROM THEM IN 2007. THE LOCATIONS THEY GAVE ME WERE CRAP. ONE OF THE LOCATIONS I BARELY MADE $5 WEEKLY. THE OTHER LOCATIONS WERE AT HOTELS AND ONE OF THE OWNERS SOLD IT AND THE NEW OWNER ASKED ME TO PAY HIM A FEE TO KEEP IT THERE. THE MAINTENANCE IS NOT PROVIDED AS PROMISE AND IF A NEW LOCATION IS NEEDED; WELL GOOD LUCK MOVING AND PAYING FOR THE 500 POUND MACHINE.

I purchased 2 machines from Gaines Vending, there are many ways one can going into a business: Blindly or With full knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of the Vending Industry. If you thought Vending was going to be a quick way to make money, you were wrong, that assumption that most consumers (can't really call them businessmen-women) make. I live in Virginia and drove to New York where Gaines set-up a business meeting with me, gave me a tour of their headquarters and provided a demonstration of the Vending Machines( VM-750-Great Machine). The contractor/locator contacted me on the list of businesses all of which had their employee "number" clearly written for me to determine if I wanted to set-up a business meeting with the business tgo determine price, profit-sharing, business hours, etc. One location I selected only had 15 employees, but we had a great working relationship; my second location had over 200 employees. I think it's unfortunate that Gaines had to suffer from the many people who had the misconception that they were going to "coast" through the Vending Industry in a hopeless attempt to make a quick buck. There's no such thing, the BBB should have been able to ascertain when a complaint is unwarranted. I hope Gaines Vending makes a swift recovery.
