I received my credit report and it states that have been deliquent on account #[protected] three times, with the date showing Nov 2010. I have NOT been delinquent on the account and would like an explanation. It shows the balance being $281. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

GEMB/JCP has received 3 certified letters from me all asking for proof that I had an account with JC Penney. None have ever been answered by them in any way. Since I know that I never had an account with them I know there really is no proof that they can send me. Yet they continue to report to Experian that I had a charge card with an unpaid balance of $1200 that they charged off in 2002. Even though the law requires them to provide me with proof they just ignore me. Now the negative information is scheduled to be removed in September 2008 so in only 4 months time approximately. I could sue them but the cost and time would make it a bad business decision for me as the case would get to Court after they had already removed the information and make the issue moot. This business is absolutley the worst I have seen so far. I even called them about this and then was told I had the wrong address to request proof of the debt (that I know they dont have anyways) and would have to write to another PO BOX in El Paso to get the proof.They acknowleged by phone receiving all 3 letters and had no explanation when asked as to why they did not respond to them. Just said I had to write another PO BOX --the PO BOX that they do NOT list with Experian. What a racket they have here!
Now I sent 3 cetified mail return receipt letters to the address that they list with Experian and all 3 were ignored. Now they want me to send a 4th to a different address when I know they will likely just ignore that like they did the last 3 letters.
I have on my credit report a company GEMP/JCP with a high balance of $408. Who is this copany? I want to see my original bill.
The same thing just happened to me! One says I owe $381, and another says $205. I have no idea what they are talking about. I also have a new inquery for this on 9/5/11 but i never applied for anything.
