I purchased a Maine Coon kitten from Giant Gate Maine Coon Cattery for $738 via Venmo. The cat was supposedly being flown to me. I then was asked to pay $910 in pet insurance. The story was told that the cat was at the KC airport and needed to have a state permit licensure to come in, and I gave another $1,109. I never got a kitten, I got doped. I'm humiliated that I fell for this. The phone numbers and emails I had been communicating with so frantically for two days are no longer responding, of course. I have reported to Venmo as well, so hopefully they block the account holders, if possible. As we know, I won't recover my money. I will be diligently filing complaints today to help others from falling for this scam. Try working for your damn holiday money like the rest of us. This is the scum of culture. What comes goes around!
Just fell for the same scam through Zelle, fortunately your post helped us from Paying the "insurance" so thank you. If there is anything we can do to stop this or maybe even get shutdown please let me know

I was thinking of buying one too. I appreciate your posts about your experiences. How could you not want one of those little cuties?! I was in love with Bruno. :(. I was leery from the jump, as there was no address or names in the footer of their website. I was certainly going to verify before purchase, but I was ready to pay - by check - then at least I would have had bank account info, in case it was a scam. It looks like they're from Russia, and "it" texted like a "Male." I found them on fb marketplace. Future cat mommas: do a reverse google image search on your kitten and FaceTime with them, then verify property tex records or something. That was my plan, when I came across this notice. So sorry, this happened to you above peeps before the holidays. Their website is probably hosted by GoDaddy, WP engine, etc...we could always try to shut down the site directly though those contacts. Maybe worth a phone call. GoDaddy has long tentacles. Best of Luck.

Think this is their legitimate biz. Looks like they scam Cavalier King Charles' too. Look s like they have good taste in critters. Hope this helps.
check the footers. maybe open the backend website info in Chrome browser. lots of meta data there.
the scammer is a website designer. take screenshots as quickly as you can. he will see this post and start cleaning up behind himself. my guess is he lives in Poland or Ukraine and has lived in US for a time. There's plenty of data online about him. check his twitter, fb, etc. his posts are still up.
