I received a "letter" congratulating me on being awarded two complimentary r/t airline tickets to any major international airport anywhere in the continental USA, and a 3 day/2 night hotel stay to anywhere in the Continental US ora $500 shopping spree. I called the number to find out more and they wanted me to make an appointment for a 90-minute "commercial". The "saleswoman" on the other end, "Carmen" said that all it entailed was word of mouth advertising after I took my vacation to tell them how great Global Travel was. I'm not that naive, but I figured maybe an evening appointment might not be too hard to handle. I made the appointment, but then searched the web and came up with a number of scams using the words "Global Travel, " so I decided to call the number back and cancel the appointment. "Carmen" on the other end, sounded incredulous. This just couldn't be true. She said she was trying to get the supervisor, but couldn't, then said that she would cancel the appointment, but was going to look into this and would call me tomorrow to tell me what she finds out. I hope she doesn't bother. Ah well, lesson learned. I haven't had to listen to the pitch, and I'm out only a few minutes of my time. Caveat Emptor!

My husband and I accepted a Global Travel invitation, we were guarenteed winners of one of four prizes. HA HA. When we resisted the sales pitch they sent in the Closer with a bad additude. This made it even easier to resist. Its a great concept for them but not for you. Do not hand over six to ten thousand dollars for membership. BEWARE and don't be taken in by their hard sell! Better yet don't accept their invitation there were no gifts. Still in the money --nora and joe

I got a call from Sam sayin i had won a top prize for a Naviagator, 25oo, vactation, or tv. Was told about the gifts and the 90 min presentaion, i was very leary, but went last saturday to check this thing out for myself. It was a lil pushy, i didnt have the money to buy a package, but iwas very intersted to say the least. At the end i got a ticket with a 32' Tv Sony Flatsreen HD, and picked it up today at Best Buy. Im happy, spent 90 min listening to there spiel and got a free TV ! My adivice, do it if u have time and want a Tv or paid trip, i only saw 1 person win the 2500 in cash, no winner for the car. But we all know no one gets that anyways, come on now...lol

This is a SCAM people! My husband and I sat through their 90 min presentation where they kept saying "This isn't a timeshare" and "Timeshares are horrible" and "We don't pressure you into buying anything". Well that was all crap!

Typical salespeople hoopla - The "Owner" just happens to be there so he can make us some "offers" not normally available. Then he "drops" the price of membership from $11, 900 to $8, 000. So we decide to leave and just take our "free gift."

Well, the free gift is 3 days/2 nights for R/T airfare and hotel. The fine print says that the departing flights leave at either 3pm or 9pm and the returning flights depart at 6am or 9am. Trips must start on a Monday.

So, they can be jerks and give you a 9pm flight on a Monday, where you'll arrive anywhere from 11pm. to 1 am. and then you only have Tuesday to enjoy your day, but you'll have to go to bed early to make a 6 am flight on Wednesday.

That doesn't sound like a trip to me. Not to mention all the fees and taxes that you have to pay. Free is never free my friends.

Has anyone tried to cancel their contract at Global Travel.
Wished I had gone online for scams but the co. never mentioned the name Global Travel until I got there.
Now in retrospect, every person that I met at the presentation had "off energy" didn't feel honest to me.
But wanting to travel inexpensively, I didn't focus on them enough.
Now regret the whole thing. They have frozen my debit card, etc. etc. hopefully tomorrow morning I will be able to cancel
my 100. that i let them swipe and close the acount completely.

DO NOT TRUST THIS CO. OR ANY CO. OFFERING YOU A FREE TRIP OR PRIZE FOR TRAVEL ETC.
THEY ARE ALL SCAMS AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN IF OUR GOVERNMENT REALLY WORKED FOR US!

My hubby & I to received the mailing. I called, because there was nothing to say what the company was. I made the appointment for tomorrow... but then called back & canceled & asked that they remove my numbers AND mailing list. The lady that answered would not shut up about how they can't make outgoing calls. I told her I was informed I'd get a confirmation call. I said I did NOT want it. & said again to remove our names from the list. ... Well, just got a call from them. I told the guy that I called and canceled yesterday AND that I asked to have the numbers removed. He started to talk & I kept on going & said that if they call back we'll report them for harassment! After reading nora & joe's post... glad we did not waste our time, nor the gas to go "check them out"!

I filled out a survey at a recent sportsman expo and received the sales call from Global Travel Networks yesterday. They told me that we won an all expense paid trip to Hawaii for 5 days/4 nights and I just have to sit through their 90 minute presentation on a Sunday in Rosevile, CA. That's over 2 hours from where I live. I told them I would make the appointment for Sunday afternoon, but I have no intentions on going. They told me that the trip is valued at $4600 and I would only need to pay the taxes. I'm not sure how these taxes are calculated but I'm guessing that it would amount to several hundreds and there may also be some additional fed tax liabilities. All in all, this is not worth my time. I'm sure I can find other travel deals out there for less. No lets see how much they call after I don't show to thier presentation.

Hi just got a letter in the mail from T. J. Johnson and Associates stating that they would like me and" my household to participate in our marketing study and promotion." For my participation I would receive a FREE Andriod Tablet Computer. "Once you have received and tested your Android Tablet, we ask that you complete the brief survey that we have enclosed and return it to us." The letter later states that I can keep the Andriod Tablet whether I complete the survey or not. They listed a toll free number and a package code.
The first red flag, why have me test my FREE Andriod Tablet and not send back the survey that was enclosed in the letter?
I called just to find out that this was a Travel Agency 90 min promotion where, in addition to the Andriod I would also get a free trip or cruise. I went ahead and said a weary Yes due to the fact that this place is nearly in my back yard. They said they would send me an e-mail that I never received, thank God. I did give them my cell phone number and I got two calls one on the house and one on my cell phone that I did not answer to see if I received their e-mail. (I was going to call after checking my e-mail again) Now the offer was sweetened to include a digital camera if I would call back to confirm that the e-mail was received.
I decided to look on line for complaints about Global Travel and there was so many complaints that I am happy I did not waste my time going to a 90 min. presentation for gifts that I would probably never receive. Not to mention that Global Travel was never mentioned in the original letter. Like my husband says nothing is for free and we will spend our 90 minutes under less pressure from sales people who misrepresent themselves.

I just got a call on my work line from Global Travel (it was a local number so I picked up) and they stated that I just won a free trip worth $999. They said it was a trip either to mexico or on a cruise and told me to look at www.caribbeansungroup.net. They then described the trips to me and told me that they were worth at least $3, 000 but my cost was $999. They then asked me for my credit card number. The guy was making it sound like he was calling from mexico. I'm going back to not answering my phone and dealing with voicemails instead.

It the most annoying tele-marketing scan...When I have free time I take them through that whole process and provide a bogus credit card number and just when they think they have a sale, I ask them if this has wasted them time...and ask them not to call me, which will not change as they outsource their tele-marketing to a three party

My girlfriend just received a phone call from them and answered because the area code calling was "local". After hearing the guy's pitch and generally giving him a hard time (it's fun, sue me) we hung up. The guy claimed to be calling from Mexico yet the area code was local, so we called the number back and got some guy's personal cell number who had recently switched service providers (thus the number was new to him) and had never heard of Global Travel. We explained the situation to him and advised him to call his service provider and make sure he hasn't racked up an enormous long distance bill. Long story short, they are using false phone numbers to make these calls. STAY AWAY!

Got an exclusive offer from Global expo travel for hotel bookings for Premier vision fair, end number of follows were made by their agents to convince and get us to book with them only to know the rates presented in euros are charged to us in USD and then they surprisingly add SURCHARGES, which add to the woes... Went ahead and gave the booking as advance amount and after that the lady who kept calling us never turned up for the final payments . nearing the fair dates we get a reply finally stating that last day to ammend the booking after which all the wring invoices are sent to get us to do all the working and calculations and trying to figure out what amount needs to be actually debited. after making double debits no cares to attend the phone calls nor reply to emails, once in a blue moon one reply and then none for the follow ups. they dont even send you the hotel vouchers.
Its get really difficult if you book with them. I will never ever recommend Global Expo Travel ... They lure you to book and then disappear leaving us with vague information and worries.. The authorities need to take action against them to stop this kind of cheating work.

Global Expo Travel (GET) is inaccurately representing itself as our "housing vendor".
GET is contacting individuals of SAWC Spring and soliciting business.
SAWC does not utilize the services of GET.
Global Expo Travel and SAWC have NO business relationship whatsoever, and to imply otherwise is fraudulent.
