Govworks Holdings Scam! Buyer beware

This "service" is completely unnecessary and deceptive to anyone trying to renew their passport. Up against the tight timeline of needing to renew my passport, I didn't do my research and purchased GovWorks' renewal process. They charge you $200+ simply to fill out a DS-82 form, which is free on the government website. Anything you pay this company does not go toward the actual renewal of your passport. Anyone working for this company should be ashamed of themselves.

Recommendation: Use the federal government's renewal process and avoid paying extra

What a nightmare this entire process has been. The only reason I used this company for rushmypassport was because they advertised they were affiliated with AAA. To begin with, I had AAA take my pictures and submitted that along with my application. I received notification that my application was rejected and one of the reasons was because they did not like...

Govworks Holdings I had a bad feeling about sending my passport ** Fed Ex today (Saturday) by 3pm

I had a bad feeling about sending my passport *** Fed Ex today (Saturday) by 3pm. I called, no response. Found ComplaintsBoard.com gave D+ rating. I filled out passport *** with mygovtworks online X-XX-XX after paying for it 2-25 online at the PO in Evans GA when told I had to renew online rather than in person. I paid online on my cell phone hoping I could mail it in at that time. Was told no, everything had to be done online.Filled out application today, 2-27 Saturday and when I found out I had to mail my passport *** (which has not yet expired) by 3pm today by fed ex, I got that "I've Been Scammed" feeling. Looked them up at your ComplaintsBoard.com website and oh my, D+ rating, lots of people never got passport *** money back. I want my money back, refunded to my Chase Marriott card account, but I am terribly worriedthey have all my personal id info and my passport *** Help!

On 17 May 2022 I contracted with govworks, dba RushMyPassport, to expedite the issuance of a passport for my wife. The passport needed to be obtained prior to her departure on 23 June, 2022.After over 1 weeks delay, I was advised that they had not received a document. Although it was in fact in the stack of documents provided them. I resent the document to the address I was given by them,After 2 weeks of no passport being delivered, I checked with them and was advised that the address to which I had been directed was not the correct address.I once again reissued the document and provided yet another check for the government passport reissuance fees.Although the documents were received today, 14 June 2022, and they claim to offer 1 week service, albeit for an additional fee, they insist that they cannot obtain the passport renewal in time for the planned departure. As this is entirely their fault, they refuse to make good nd rush the passport through because I have not paid an additional fee.

I ordered an E-bike from the company FLX in January 2022. The order number is omitted for privacy. They promised to deliver the bike within 3 months. However, after 7 months, I still have not received the bike. I sent several emails with a specific request number for follow-up communication. The consistent response has been that it will be shipped in 3 weeks. The cost of the bike was charged to my Visa card. Since the company did not honor the agreement and I needed the bike by spring, I would like to request a refund and report the company for unsatisfactory customer support. I greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Thanks,
Dr.

On June 8th I went to the *** to expedite my passport.I was placed in front of a computer, charged an exorbitant fee and told to follow the prompts No one assisted me or asked if I needed help.I was given the forms and advised to make an appointment at the post office This is a scam! The only service received was a printout And they took my picture for an extra fee I made the appointment at the post office They helped me and processed the paperwork and I paid more fees. This is an absolute scam I have a computer at home and the post office is the actual processing agent I have warned all my friends to avoid this unnecessary and expensive money grab.

The company charged for a service that they were unable to fulfill. They charged to expedite the renewal of a passport in a timeframe that was even shorter than the one advertised on the government website. However, they failed to meet their own advertised deadline. The passport was supposed to be returned through a premium courier service but was instead sent via standard postal service. The company was disorganized and unable to provide any relevant information, such as a tracking number. The passport was dispatched at the time indicated on the government website, not earlier, and it was delivered by a regular postal service, not the premium courier as promised. I received two emails from them stating their inability to expedite the process as promised. This turned out to be a waste of money.

Govworks Holdings I tried to get my passport through GovWorks, nearly finished the process, but city hall said I needed a letter of authorization.

I tried to get my passport through GovWorks, completed nearly every step of the process, and when I went to have my passport processed by my local city hall, they informed me that without a letter of authorization, the company could not legally take my information or process my passport for me. I paid over $150 to this company, and they cannot even legally complete the service for me. They accepted my money and had no way of actually completing the service. What's more, they now have all of my personal information. When I called to speak to customer service, I got a voicemail that had four pre-recorded responses and no way to actually talk to a human. This company is a scam. They take your money and all of your private information upfront, and you only find out that you were scammed when you either go to have it processed or send it in and wait for a passport that won't come. I want my information removed from their database and a full refund.

I attempted to use this service to renew my passport, which expired in 2020. I sent in all the information, and they replied to tell me I had made mistakes on the paperwork. At that time, I told them to cancel my application and return my passport, as well as the money order they said they could not use. To this email, I got no response. I called today, Wednesday the 11th of August , and spoke to an agent, only to be hung up on. When I called back, nobody answered, and I tried for hours. I'm seeking a resolution so that I can start the process elsewhere, and I don't know what to do. Please help.

I used GovWorks service to renew my passport; however, they charged me $147.00 on 9/15. The FedEx label they provided did not have a barcode on it, and I was unable to ship my documents for processing. I have reached out to them multiple times to get this resolved, but no one will get back to me. They charged my debit card $147 and have not provided any services for me. See below for order information.

Thank you,

On September 23rd I received a phone call that the money order for $170.00 I mailed in had the incorrect total and was asked to pay $227.56 which included a service fee and was told I should receive the money order back to my home address. I followed up the next week for a status update and was told someone would contact me with a tracking number, I continued to follow up every other day and would get the same response every time. After hitting a dead end I went to my bank to try and get a refund and was told the Money Order was cashed. I called back and informed the customer service rep what I had found out and they stated that it was accidentally mailed a long with my passport *** was advised to send an e-mail to ***@expeditedtravel.com with the proof from my bank that it was cashed and did that on 10/18. I want to get a refund for the $170.00 that should have been mailed back to me.

On April 27, 2022, I utilized my affiliation with Rush My Passport to secure a new passport for my son before our cruise scheduled for June 3, 2022. Their website proclaims 'for all your passport needs,' implying they can manage every aspect of the passport acquisition process. This claim is deceptive and incorrect.

I paid $227 for the expedited passport service. After completing and printing the application, I discovered that they fail to disclose the requirement to schedule an appointment at a passport acceptance agency. On April 28, 2022, we spent the entire day attempting to locate an agency accepting appointments. Unfortunately, all agencies in our vicinity were fully booked until the end of June, making it impossible for us to receive the passport in time.

The following day, I contacted the toll-free number provided on the application to seek a refund, only to find an automated system with no option to speak to a live representative, though I could leave my number for a callback. The website listed on the application was non-existent. However, after further investigation, I found a Govworks Refund Request Form. This form indicated that refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours from the purchase date. Moreover, it failed to specify where to send the completed form. By the time I found this information, I was already past the 24-hour window, which is an absurdly short period for such a request.

As a result, I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company. Should this dispute resolve in my favor, I will no longer require a refund from Rush My Passport. Nevertheless, it is imperative that they update their website to accurately reflect the services they provide and the process involved.

Govworks Holdings I wanted to renew one child passport *** he is under age of 16 so I wanted make appointment and couldn't find any

I wanted to renew one child passport *** he is under age of 16 so I wanted make appointment and couldn't find any. Maybe due to Covid-19 not every office working some post office didn't answered phones and i could only see few date that there is no appointment. My friends sent information about Express passport. I was in a hurry because our trip next month and desperate I trusted the site and paid. They were giving detail bill about what US government ask for passport *** did charged for insurance and shipping. They sent me link which look legit and detailed and I trusted giving all my child info. After submitted my application I printed out everything and called the acceptance agent office given by them and but employee who answered the phone said they do not do passport. She asked me tracking number none of number legit. Beside if I need an appointment to give the form why to pay them? Also why pay another fee, I thought I already paid them.

On July 21, I attempted to renew my passport using the FedEx website. Unbeknownst to me, I was redirected to the GovWorks website where I proceeded to fill out the application and paid the fee upfront. I managed to complete the application; however, I encountered an issue when I tried to download and print the documents. The site kept displaying an error message stating 'invalid PDF format'. The documents need to be sent by today, or I will incur a 'full service fee'. Customer support is non-existent; I am still on hold as I write this, and there are no alternative support options available. This situation feels deceptive, and it was not made clear that I was dealing with a third-party company not affiliated with the government. They seem to be exploiting individuals who are in urgent need of passport services, which is required to meet government standards. The experience has all the hallmarks of a scam. At the very least, since I am unable to complete the service for which I have paid, I would like to request a refund.

Submitted my passport via FedEx on July 6th, for a planned trip on the 6th of August and paid close to $350 with all expedited fees, but the passport had not arrived and I had to cancel my travel. They speak with you if you want to apply, but then it's difficult to speak to someone - once I stayed on hold for 3 hours and finally someone came on and he said he will review the status and hung up on me. Bad service - please know that you can do this on the travel.gov US agency website and get an appointment with a local government passport office. This is daylight robbery with all the money they take for this and not deliver on time as promised. Thanks to FedEx for putting their brand name there as well. I only applied thinking this was a FedEx government-affiliated service.

On 7/27, I ordered the passport *** for myself and my wife (Orders GW-63E7CF259 and GW-D8AFXXXXX). Like many others, after completing the orders I discovered that this service is not affiliated with the U.S. government. I immediately requested a refund for both orders (both within 1 hour of placing the order). I did not receive a response and followed up on 7/29 and again on 7/30 but still have not received any response. I simply want a refund for both orders, which were submitted within the refund policy period.

Order No: GW-0E3FB8AF5

I submitted my application to a Fedex office on 5/29 and they said it would take a couple months to get my passport. I received a message on 7/17 that my documents were delivered. I went home and checked my mailbox only to see that there was nothing there. I contacted GovWorks several times in the past couple days by both email and phone - but it is impossible to get in contact with anyone there. I have been on hold on the phone for over 40 minutes and no one answers it. How can a company handling sensitive government documents be so careless and have ZERO support? I need my passport urgently. I need them to either deliver my passport promptly, refund my fees, and also reimburse me for all expedited costs for a 'Lost Passport' request.

Govworks Holdings My passport is being withheld. After extensive calls and unfulfilled promises, I'm without a tracking number.

My passport is being withheld. After spending over 6 hours on the phone across two days, and being assured by everyone I spoke to that I would receive a refund request form and tracking number for my passport's return, I'm still waiting a full day later without a tracking number. I had to dispute with PayPal, which ruled in my favor, due to non-responsive customer service regarding the refund request form. After numerous calls, I resorted to an automated system to get the form. I was told a manager, Sharon Grant, would update me on my situation. Despite sending her six emails for the tracking number, there's been no reply. An online agent assured me I'd get a tracking number by 6pm ET today. A phone agent said Sharon would email me. She falsely claimed to have left a voicemail. I've had no updates on the whereabouts of my passport or its return.

Govworks Holdings I used RushMyPassport with FedEx, shipped all documents on July 13th, received by July 15th or 16th

I used RushMyPassport with FedEx, shipped all documents on July 13th, received by July 15th or 16th. I've been told my original passport and the money order were missing from the package, which isn't true. It seems someone at the office has either taken or misplaced them. The package weighed 1lb, which suggests my passport was inside, as the application and envelope alone wouldn't weigh that much. No one has been able to locate it, provide clear answers, or return my calls as promised. I'm now seeking my application, photo, an express return, and a full refund. I've initiated an investigation into the money order's cashing. One manager tried to assist, but I'm still awaiting a callback. I'm certain all my documents were in the FedEx package. Unfortunately, I must now cancel my trip plans.

Govworks Holdings On June 16 I attempted to begin the process of renewing my passport

On June 16 I attempted to begin the process of renewing my passport. I went to FedEx's website for more information on how the mail process would work. Fedex's website says that you can start an application online, and I was redirected to govWorks. I did not immediately realize that this was a private company unaffiliated with the U.S. Department of State, and I would not have paid the fee for this service had I known. It was only upon completing the application and seeing that they were requiring me to send an additional check to the government that I realized. I am filing this complaint because I became alarmed when I saw on their website that they do not process refunds. I have not mailed them anything, and they haven't provided me with a service yet so there is no reason that they shouldn't process my refund. In addition, there's no way for me to delete my account from their site. They obtained a lot of private information from me, and I want it deleted from their records.

Govworks Holdings Rush My Passport/GovWorks fails to expedite passport processing within promised 2-3 weeks.

Rush My Passport/GovWorks charges $237 to expedite passport processing to 2-3 weeks but fails to deliver on their guarantee or meet deadlines. I paid Rush My Passport/GovWorks $237 for an expedited service, with the assurance that the entire process would take no more than 2-5 weeks. They typically offer a 1-2 week turnaround for the same price, but adjusted their promise to 2-3 weeks due to COVID. I mailed my passport on August 24th, and as of October 15th, I still haven't received it. The last company update was on September 1st, stating my passport was at a facility in Philadelphia. With no further communication since then and over 7 weeks elapsed, they've exceeded their guaranteed delivery by over 4 weeks. I'm unable to contact the company for updates or information. They have not met their timing commitment, their claims seem deceptive, and customer service is virtually unreachable. I advise against using this company.

Govworks Holdings 2 passports **** mailed for renewal in May

2 passports *** mailed for renewal in May. One has been received, but not the other one.Cannot follow up as emails are sent back "undeliverable". I mailed two passports *** May 15 to this company for what was promised as a quicker means of obtaining renewals. We were to travel internationally in August. The first passport *** for Katherine C. The other passport *** for *** A. ***, order #GW-C69A447F7, and I also paid $176.95 for this renewal. I followed up with govWorks on July 27 to find the status of this renewal. I received a reply the same day reporting that this application had just arrived at the Government and should be processed shortly. I waited severa l weeks and started following govWorks and all emails were returned to me saying "Address not found". This was the email address I had used all along: ***@govworks.com. So I cannot reach Mr. Russell Varecha whom I had been communicating with the entire time. I still have not received the passport *** A. ***.

After they failed to provide expedited service without communication, they still have not sent back my passport *** I need to meet a deadline. Order Number GW-D91AC66F5. Sent my passport *** documents to Gov Works 8 1/2 weeks before my travel date. Did not hear back for weeks so I had to call them for a status and they explained that they will not meet my deadline for travel so I asked them to send back my documents so I can figure this out on my own. After being told that I would get my documents back within 2 business days, I have yet to receive my passport *** documents after a week and half and the person on the phone said they will not expedite my documents and have to wait for USPS to send my materials. USPS confirms that they have not received any of my documents from Gov Works. I need to present my passport *** person to my local government office by Monday the 26th of April so that I may retrieve a new one. I have no choice but to report my Passport *** stolen by Gov Works. I don't understand why they won't help get my government documents back to me like I was told or how they can get away with holding on to them. Govworks Holdings Misleading Service I mailed passport documents for my husband and myself to Gov Works early January

Misleading Service I mailed passport documents for my husband and myself to Gov Works early January. I received confirmation from Gov Works that these documents were received on 1/6. There were no problems with my information, yet my application wasn't forwarded to the US passport office until 1/18. Given the fee charged, this is unacceptable! There was an issue with my husband's photo. I was told an urgent email was sent, which I never received. The rep tried resending it multiple times to no avail. It wasn't in my spam folder. After providing an alternate email, I finally got the details. I overnighted the new photo and received confirmation from FedEx of its delivery. I emailed Gov Works with the tracking number for verification but got no reply. Beware, this service is misleading! My renewal would have been faster if sent directly to the US Passport office. I'm out over $500, facing additional passport fees, and may need to reschedule my trip. Do not use this service; it won't expedite your process, only delay it. I requested a refund and was ignored. Gov Works is taking advantage of people. Avoid the hassle and go to the US post office instead!

I paid for an expedited service $263 today. When I try to finalize and submit it, it will not go through. The icon just keeps spinning. I have tried all day. When I call on the phone and enter my zip code, the automated system tells me that it is not valid. Finally, when I was able to get in contact with a human they told me just to keep trying. Not feeling good about this and wish I read reviews first.

Govworks Holdings GovWorks advertised a 2-3 week expedited passport service for $237

GovWorks advertised a 2-3 week expedited passport service for $237. It's been over 10 weeks and I have not received my passport. On Sept 16th, Rushmypassport.com (GovWorks) offered this service for a renewal process. This differed from their standard 4-6 week service. I chose the expedited option because their website boasted high ratings and endorsements from reputable sources, suggesting reliability. However, it's now past 10 weeks (as of November 30) and my renewed passport hasn't arrived. I've contacted GovWorks thrice about the status and they keep saying it's in process. I've twice asked for a refund of the difference between expedited and standard service due to their failure to deliver. They've ignored my requests. I understand Covid may cause delays, but I'm upset by their false promise of speed. They continue to sell this service and highlight selective positive feedback. I'm aware it may take even longer to receive my passport, but I insist they refund me the difference between the expedited fee ($237) and the standard fee ($99) promptly.

Govworks Holdings On 04/27/22, I sought help from Rush My Passport for my son's passport before a June 3 cruise.

On 04/27/22, I sought help from Rush My Passport to get a new passport for my son before our cruise on June 3, 2022. Their website claims to cater to all passport needs. This is misleading. I paid $227 for expedited service, completed the application, but wasn't informed about needing an appointment at a local agency. On 04/28/22, no agencies had openings before late June, making it impossible to get the passport on time. The next day, I tried to request a refund. The provided phone number and website were unhelpful, and the Govworks Refund Request Form had a 24-hour return policy, which I missed. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company and if successful, I won't need a refund. However, the company should update their website to reflect the truth.
