GRANTON MARKETING
1. they don't have a company website.
2. they pay by commission.
3. they do not sign a contract with you.
4. require you to tell customers stuff that are not correct.
i was suppose to sell this 'wellness village' granton card, which customers need to pay $29.90 for the card which entitles them to one free facial trial. i was told to tell them that it is their signature intensive facial which they will be providing for free. i was actually convinced by myself so i actually bought one and went down to try it. turned out that it was worst than those normal basic facial i went for outside! Signature intensive indeed!
5. weirdly secretive.
the 'leaders' of the company actually seemed to be withholding a lot of extra information to me when they realise that i am not going to stay there for long. like... there will be a management course which potential leaders will be attending & they did not tell me about it. and like... leaders actually earn $5 more per card. etc etc information which they withheld from me all the time. the way they act like they are so open about everything, but i know they are keeping a lot of things from me, probably because they are scared that if i run off, quit or something, and holding too much information on my hand will only bring them more troubles.
6. claimed to be a new organisation hence recruiting.
i don't know, it really sounds weird. too weird to be explained.
7. fired me just because i didn't manage to turn up for work as i was having splitting headache. told me they will calculate my pay and let me know. but never heard from them again. like wtf?
7. and many more. there are too many things in the company that made it weird.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
What is that even mean? Get a life.
I'd have to say
There's too much attention on mediocrity
that when true Greatness appears
they're deemed as freaks of nature or worse
repudiation.. repulsion.. abhorred.
The uphill climb to ownership is ardous, life-depleting, nerve wrecking at least.
Friends are lost, families neglected ( at times), and all for what...?
As an owner, 2 imperatives must be defended at all cost..
Team motivation and Personal attitude
Sometimes, personal sustenance may be sacrificed for long term gains.
At Granton, we take personal pride in these sacrifices.
That's why, sometimes despite our sartorial palatability,
those trademark confidence, unabashness still oozes out regardless
how irksome we sound.
This is the mark of True Greatness.
Hey guy im currently working there now its my 18Th day . i just finished my as just to clear some misynderstandings
1they dont cheat our money
as long as i work hard and i sell they give me the money i deserve . im only 18 and my basic is 400, they pay according to your competency level not tryong to take advantage of u or cheap labour
2 its a great working environment
yrah the highier tier people are SuPeR secretive, but they are rlly nice if u get to know about them more. they are many 17, 18, 20+ people and even uncles like 40+ altogether like ten of us. we have fun n help each other out
3 they dont force us to sell clearcuts
its a great misunderstangin. in my eighteen days there never have my leader force me to use my money to sell my card or forbid me from going home if i dont clear cut . if i dont do well like 3cards a day, leader will just talk to me ask me what happen n do better . thats all
4we are not liars
im a customer myself . i know hw it feels to be lied to . i wouldnt sell stuff that are untrue. in my time here ive sod dominos, popeyes, amici, and manhattan fish, they are all grrat offers . we dont have to lie to sell to them . sometimes the customers will just take and look and buy 2immediately. we are not liars please dont run us down like this
i eas greatly appalled by the comments . in the working world sure u have to see some peoples black face or scoldings and expectations but since were working it means we arematured and old enough tobtolerate and differentiate what i rifht or wrong not blamingothers . I actually find this job great for an 18yr old np experience just finish As but willing to work hard.. no rude comments please just my personal experience :)
i worked there for 3mnths. been promoted as a leader after 3 weeks or so. but no overriding pay just the "basic" of $600 a week or more if u sell more.
go door to door every single day from Mon to Sat. sometimes have to do street-pitching or knock on ppl home in the heartland.
yup. its tough. walk under the sun whole day. talk to at least 100ppl a day. for $600 a week. worthwhile? i don't know. you be the judge.
i try not to be too begative here. like i said, judge for yourself. i'd just put forth the facts and you do the maths so to speak.
theyre running a company and the boss did mention that what they do is train ppl to be an entrepreneur instead of employee. thats why you have to work 6 days a week from morning to dusk. sweat yourself out. i mean literally sweat. and you have to put up with the other so called leaders and managers infuriating antics.
granted. i did commit a hosts of mistakes while i was there. mistakes which a leader should not commit. you still have to go to work if youre sick. "just pop-in a couple of panadols if youve fever!", the boss actually ever said. gives 100% of tour time and commitment to the company especially if youre the leader sunce you'd have a few ppl in your team. family day on Wed and even on Sunday. for $600 bucks a week or 800 or even 1k if your fantastic in your sale.
but what bugs me is the lack or the non-existence of any paper whatsoever that stted youre working with the company. nothing. nada. no benefit whatsoever. no annual leave. if your sick, get your own treatment. the boss will ask for mc if youre sick and youre a leader but they will still deduct your pay by being absent. whatever reason for not turning up for work is not valid. this is what came out from the boss mouth. nothing. even if your hse was on fire and you were frantically fighting to put the fire down thus renders you unable to go to work, nope. your pay will still be deducted. thats the fact. bad? a scam? i don't know. you judge. since the boss said theyre producing entrepreneurs not employee
needless to say, i've since quit the company and now doing what i do and knows best.
oh yes. their promotion are alright. i did buy some for meself and my family like the domino pizza and the manhattan fish. they honoured the coupons. whether you like the food or not thats entirely different matter.
so..well. thats all ive to say. peace.
I work in that company for a short while. They are very screwed up people. Owners live on peoples money. only commission but they control you like a slave and you must worship the managers and the DEVIL Ara'bad'. This is an eye opening experience of a life time to know how if feels to be a SLAVE and live on peanuts everyday. Managers and leaders are best actors(liars) probably they can be given an Oscar award as e number 1 scam artist on planet earth!
The following is copy & paste from http://wolfram.org/scam/ds-max/ ... PLEASE CHECK HERE ABOUT HOW BAD THE COMPANY IS!;The DS-Max belief system and life
It is financial independence through the ds-max way of life -- or a life of poverty and working for others just to get laid off one day. It is the 9 to 5 people are losers. The mindset of a ds-max guy is on success through the business or nothing at all. To always be the one that hits every door. That gets with all the new people. Who is the best retrainer. The one who is setting the example in the office by hitting the bell.
It is always promoted that it might be between 6 to 18 months to get to ownership. You donât want people to think it is simple. And for some people -- they do get promoted. But what about those that donât? I will now give a list of personal observations about what a life is like for a leader that is in for a year or three and is not yet promoted.
1.They live day to day. Often enough -- depending if they sell or not that day -- will determine supper and transportation for the next day. No sale = a poor supper and working close to the office the next day because you canât afford to contribute gas or come up with bus fare to go far out.
2.They live in a merch house. This is a home or apartment where many people in the office also live -- often enough the owner too!
3.They have some or all of the following: unpaid parking and speeding tickets, unpaid bills, let their bank accounts go negative and unpaid federal and or state taxes. They hope to get to ownership and pay everything off some day when they are fabulously wealthy. But in the meantime their credit is six feet under and they are scared of cops because of the unpaid tickets.
4.They donât have nice clothes. They have clothes that make them look professional enough to merch -- but when observed closely -- are worn and tattered.
5.Their shoes are worn. Often lopsided from the where and tear of walking 8 hours a day.
6.They need food or money from family of friends to get buy.
7.Many have done stints living in cars.
8.They zealously promote the opportunity they will have some day.
9.They know all the impacts, have met all the VPs and know all about the history
10.They have had and lost many crews.
11.They have numerous road trip stories.
12.They can do almost any campaign.
13.Most likely they do not have a car. They can not afford it. (Remember they are paying all this money out to retrains and for transportation in the field.) If they do have a car, most likely it is not insured.
14.They will always retrain someone -- even though they may not know where they might be sleeping in a week.
Guys that give their lives to this business and donât get anywhere get my respect and pity. These guys have seen more rejection and they keep coming back for more. They have each seen many people get promoted yet they canât seem to do it themselves. To admit failure is too hard. They know so much about the company yet they canât be part of it. They know all the good impacts and atmosphere games and how to find the good territoryâs. They know where to find the best restrooms and cheap restaurants around town. They have made a commitment to succeed in the business and now they want to make it work.
These same guys can overcome big negatives. They can have a crew toast and then come back from the field and help clean the office. Their parents can plead with them to leave. But they wonât. Why? Because they have heard and now believe the stories about how successful VPâs overcame their loved ones objections and that now they are financially independent business moguls. What do you think some of the top stories are that are given at Rallyâs? How a VP said something like "I know you may not believe in this business Mom, but do you believe in me? Canât you just let me try this for a year and letâs just see if I can make it work?" VPâs will heroically claim that they might have gotten kicked out of a parentâs house for sticking with the business; but now they are paying there parents mortgage! The career leaders latch on to these stories and believe them. They hope to be telling these same stories some day at a rally.
Some career leaders have gotten themselves into situations they canât get out of. May be they are in a merch house and have no money saved. If they quit they get kicked out of their home and then donât have a place to stay.
Yet owners need a bunch of committed leaders that they know will never make it. Leaders provide retrains and atmosphere. They work hard and provide the owners rent and a salary. A Corp of leaders is needed to provide a foundation to build the office up. These leaders are all lead to believe that by believing in the marketing program, that they too will be able to obtain financial independence.
Understand that owners have been figuring out how to get people to stick with their business since 1980. They have been through countless people quitting on them. Thus they have loads of ammunition to give reps or their family members when they rail at them. They practice rebuttals to get them to calm down and stick it out. Advice is given at rallies and phone calls are made all the time just on these topics! They have years of trial and error on their side. On the other hand, an anguished girl friend or worried parent is dealing with something they have never heard of before -- something that someone they love has embraced. Such a person wants to be open minded -- but then they see that their loved one is going door to door, not making money and has a changed personality. They worry that he might be in a cult. The loved one is not worshipping a weird God. They are enslaved by the Ds-max psychology of financial independence through door to door sales.
The reality is most will fail. Maybe one out of 20 people hired will actually make it to leadership, for every 100 leaders, maybe one will make it to ownership and of 100 owners, only a fraction will survive and a fraction of those will be VPâs or even regional managers. You are better off trying to strike it rich in Vegas than in DS-max. And if you do stick it rich in Ds-max -- it is at the expense of the leaders. Getting money from Ds-max is a peg or two above accepting drug money.

dear all, a copy and paste from [redacted]/scam/frauds/deception and etc;
1. Be wary of salespitches. Does manipulation or coercion enter into the work is presented? Do you find an eagerness to sign you up, get a commitment (a sizeable deposit). Without respecting your right to consider the matter at your own discretion? A Yep. You don't have to pay no money. But like when it is your first day to try it out you sign up then and now or not at all.
2. Note the mood of the organization. Are there hordes of people involved? Does the organization respect the rate of each person's progress or is it a hurry up, results-guaranteed affair? A Depends on the leader. Some will just put you out on the street with no training.
3. What is the group leader like? What are his/her credentials?
4. What are the personal instructors like? What are their credentials? A Anyone they can brainwash enough to stay!
5. Speak to others who have already participated. Do they repeat the key phrases of their experience? Watch carefully for this, and note that parroting may be a symptom of a well washed brain. Try to get these people to tell about their individual experiences instead. Are they able to do this thoughtfully? If so, this is a good sign. A These guys have trainers meetings dedicated to what to say to new people to get them to stick in the business.
6. Does the group require ongoing participation of people who have already mastered the work to the extent of actively recruiting new customers? Do these people provide time consuming free salesmanship for the organization? If so, ask them why they choose to do this. (And watch for repetitive key phrases again or an irrational zeal.)
7. Does the group place heavy emphasis on a specific (rigid higher, or holier) authority figure guru, leader, teacher? Is such emphasis built into the atual work process? Can authority be challenged? Does the group provide ample opportunity to question the methods, techniques, theories of work or does it have an implicit attitude of we know shat is best for you? A Authority figures holier than thou Murray Larry Paul. Someone's owner. Never question or reinvent their precious system with its 5 & 8.
8. Can you observe any negative techniques, especially in the beginning exercised or instructions? These might include obvious personal insults, put downs, tearing-down of egos or less obvious of giving orders, bullying, threatening and general reinforcement of diminished sense of self. A Watch dissenters get fired, belittled and discredited!
9. Does the process involve any severe physical discomfort or pain? Mental or emotional pain? A Yeah. Going door to door to rip people off. Regret for having trained people to waste their time with this business.
10. Is hypnosis part of the process without being fully acknowledged as such?
11. Does any aspect of the work go against a personal belief conviction, or religious concept? If so, are your feelings respected?
12. Does the process project an air of mystery, secrecy of things not explained? Are you instructed or encouraged to do any work you do not fully understand (including chanting in another language without adequate translation)? A You Only get told a bit at a time about the company until they have you hooked.
13. Is there any responsible assessment or screening process of each applicant's physical, emotional, and mental state before admission? Or is money the only prerequisite to doing the work? A None. They only want people that can sell.
14. How do you feel about the people participating? Do they seem intelligent, balanced, thoughtful, aware? Or is there an underlying mood of desperation, or an apparent inability or unwillingness to think things over? A Pity. They are stuck. They are committed. To admit it is all wrong is humbling. It is like a gambler who gets a good machine once in a while. Once in a while these guys have a good day in the field or actually retain a good guy. And then famine forever. It is a disease.
15. Does the group tacitly discourage members from continuing close relationships with nonconverts and encourage members to recruit everyone in their lives? A You should not associate with anyone that might discourage you from being in the business. Personal recruiting is a big plus!
16. Is any form of intimidation of dominance over others encouraged by the work?
17. Does the group place emphasis on affiliations with celebrities, politicians, industry? A You should here how they promote that they work with clients like the Yankees, Pizza hut, Papa Johns, Sprint, DTV, AT&T, Stamps.com, Staples and many others.
These questions are used by some people to determine if a group is a cult. The answers are my person responses with regard to dsmax
hello dears,
i am from pakistan and same ### company was here in pakistan, i also worked in this company for at least 6 months, and same drama is here like damn juice ritual, no pay, no salary, only commision, and you live like a slave, they dont trust on you, even if you are ill or going to die they dont bother and want you in their office at any cost and you cannot sale anything on basis of truth, and the person from this company named "Naveed Safara" is now working in bangladesh, uh, what he was doing with those peoples.
GRANTON IS S STUPID COMPANY DON'T YOU DARE TO JOIN..., , /, , , , , , GRANTON!
Hi, I'm from Singapore and am too a victim of the scammers at Granton. Decided to work during my polytechnic break and this job was offereing a not bad pay. ($70 a day) The manager did not state the pay or anything in the contract, all he did was made my friend and i list our particulars and jobs we had previously worked for. We asked about the working hours and he said it was a 9-5 job. But might drag on to 630pm. Fine. On my first day of work, my friend and I came at 9 and he said we were late. We have to be at the office (Hongkong St) at 830am. They did some preparation by pitching to the other colleagues and the stupid JUICE thing because they think it hypes us up but to me it just seemed like a nonsensical waste of time because it was like 1 hour plus.. my leader was some annoying indian (roshan) who self praised himself the whole way. At the end of the day, we has a score of only selling 3 cards altogether (2 cards, me. 1 cards, him) but he stole my sales and reported to the manager that he was the one who sold 2 cards instead. The manager also said that for the first "training" week we can only get $50 a day (which was like $5 per hour i would have rather worked in macdonalds?) he said the pay system goes like this for part timers: $12 per card sold. if i only sold 1 card it means i can collect the $12 at the end of the day and the remaining ($50-$12=$38) at the end of the month. I thought it was pretty fair and i continued working, Throughout my experience there, I thought the other leaders (besides the cheater who took my sale) were pretty nice and friendly. Sometimes if i was having a bad day, they would sell some and give it to me and vice versa. When school started, I had no choice but to leave the company. I have an outstanding of $200 and i am only 17 years old. Everytime i call or text the managers they will not pick up and ignore my message. THEY WONT PAY YOU THE OUTSTANDING AND MY FRIEND THREATENED TO BRING THIS UP TO THE MINISTRY OF MANPOWER, instead of telling us to calm down, the manager replied "go ahead" DOES THIS MEANS ITS BECAUSE SHES REALLY NOT GOING TO PAY US? We are both teenagers, there were a few other teenagers who I'm sure did not receive their pay as well. What can we do?
@ Angsty
Totally understand your predicament
Totally embraced your terse experience.
However, if this episode should teach anything at all,
STAY IN SCHOOL...get educated really well..
a diploma is unspeakably over qualified for door to door salesperson
meaning, you don't really need it on the street peddling..or doors knocking
If I may be so bold, please go ahead and get a degree as well..(Full time or part time)
When I got my degree, I too left the same episode behind.
No doubt, you will feel dejected
But trust me, you are so much better with your new found wisdom.
Have a good one.
OH MY GOD. Thank you so much, especially you sigurista, the one who posted the "dec 1, 2012" post. I was about to go to the said orientation tomorrow. Thank goodness I found this and you, sigurista. I also went to their office in San Miguel Ave. in Pasig City. My dad warned me about the speed hiring thing and told me that it is about SALES. And yes, it is. Good thing I meticulously searched for their website and found this. Thank you so much.
I think the juice you guys drank or are drinking is laced with his sperm...that's why he says have a juicy day.
