Greg Davis Landscaping review: This guy uses inferior skills and cheap materials 1

This guy uses inferior skills and cheap materials so he can underbid on jobs and do inferior work! He may be able to cut grass, or plant a flower or two, BUT DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT give him access to any major landscaping! He came to my home, underbid all other contractors, and now, I am STILL paying to have my home saved!

Every time it rains, my home floods! He built a paver /patio on my home and he graded it towards my house! On top of that he gave NO drainage system, and his final words to me were, ” If you don’t like it, Sue me! I’ve been sued before!”

According to Michigan building codes, a Landscaper does NOT need to have a builders license, or ANY kind of license for that matter. So, there is no liability or accountability to hold him to. The State of Michigan will NOT aid in policing these types of businesses and no attorney will file suit for you because the amount of damages is not great enough for them. Also, he knows this so he continues to go to trade shows and home improvement shows and tell people about his expertise. This is all a “crock”. Believe me I have reports from other contractors and associations about this guys work. He is growing steadily in Michigan.

If you come across this guy, BEWARE! He should have a skull and crossbones in front of his business! I spent approximately 17 grand with him. It will cost me about 20 grand just to make my problems go away. If not, I can never have a dry home again. He now has offices in Oakland county as well as Wayne. I think everybody there found out about his work! If you hire him, you only have yourself to blame! He does NOT stand behind his work!

By the way, Make SURE he does fill out a full contract stating everything he will do. And by all means, DO NOT PAY HIM UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETED! and you are satisfied! He will NOT come back, and he will not stand behind his production!
