Recently I ordered online a used Fender P bass from Villa Park IL store on a Thursday. I called first and spoke with competent/friendly employees. I was expecting this instrument to ship the next day (Friday) and I paid for overnight UPS shipping. The employee assured me that I should get it the following Tuesday with MLK Day being on the Monday before. I contacted the store on Tuesday (the day I expected to receive the instrument) only to find out that it is still sitting in their shipping area/department. It did not ship out as expected the day after my purchase. I'm disappointed in not receiving the instrument when told by Guitar Center and UPS. Mostly, I feel that I wasted good money for overnight shipping when I am not receiving overnight shipping. What do I want? I want a refund for the shipping and a pack of D'Addario Bass strings. Will this make it right? No, but it will go a long way in restoring my faith in Guitar Center. I'm a university guitar professor who, at this point, plan to share my misfortunate experience with my students. I'd prefer to share with them how Guitar Center made amends for their mistake.
Claimed loss: Wasted money on overnight shipping when I did not get overnight shipping.
Desired outcome: Shipping reimbursement and a pack of D'Addario bass strings.
