After delivering a large Hog for slaughter, 215#, they packaged our meat and kept all the prime cuts. The entire Loin was missing in my order, Baby Back Ribs, and tenderloin. Sausage packaged in 1/2 lb pkgs. the recipe was SO loaded with salt and too much nitrate, that I will have to throw it away. Impossible to eat. After we questioned him as to where the remainder of the meat was, he double talked us and we never got the remainder of the Prime cuts. DO NOT USE THE Butcher, He'll scam ya!
We agree! Do not slaughter/butcher here. Our meat was contaminated. Our meat was FDA tested and the numbers will astound you. Don't poison your family go somewhere else!
Anyone dealing with livestock, especially someone working in a packing facility should know that E coli comes from the gut and cow manure and ecoli happens immediately, post-slaughter. THAT MEANS IT HAPPENS AT THE PACKING FACILITY NOT WHEN YOU HAVE THE MEAT HOME. Please dont go here to slaughter.
Junior Harris took on more calves than he could handle including a big black steer we took him weighing about 1200 lbs. We went to pick the meat on the day it was supposed to be ready and when we got there was told they had lost the cut sheet and didn’t have a phone number to call us. It was still hanging back there on the rail and we was told that it would be another three days before their schedule would allow them to cut it. Long story short, meat had a funk we couldn’t eat it. Good steer waste of feed and time and no beef to eat. Complained about it and they made no effort to claim it on their insurance or offer any compensation for the ruined meat. Tried to tell us that lots of people payed extra money for aged beef. I told them I wasn’t one of those people. BEWARE Of Junior Harris.
