After purchasing heal a seal product and using as directed in their booklet, the product would not fix the issue, a leaking cylinder head gasket. I emailed them for help as advertised and they will not respond to my emails.

The product has not worked and looks like they are trying to get out of refunding money if it does not fix the issue.

Would like to warn other from dealing with this company. I read comments on various websites about this product the majority are from people who have not tried the product. I have tried the product and it has not worked, they do not respond to emails for technical help as advertised in there web page.

Heal a seal is a big rip off company. but honestly I don't think it is even a real company because when u call it's always the same foreign guy answering the phone I believe he is working out of his house and sitting back stealing everyones money. He owes me $89.90 for the piece of ### gray water that he sent me. The crap doesn't work but mess your car up more. I've been trying to get my refund for over a month but he will not respond to my e-mails nor by phone.

How did you make enough money to pay the guy stupid fool! You deserve what you get for being dumb enough to think a bottle of something will put material back in a head gasket!

We purchased this item for a 1992 Mercury Sable that had a blown head gasket or warped head. The product worked as advertised and the car continued for another 20, 000 miles. It does take some effort to use properly and is for a repair of a low value car of a temporary repair on a more expensive car. Properly used I think it is a great product.

Their advertising is misleading, their manual poorly written, their product does not work, and their tech support person,.. yes only one I ever talked to,.. is a jerk!. they put a loophole deep into the manual about registering the product to get the warranty,.. then at the end of the manual they put in the exceptions to the warranty, anything that can go wrong is not covered!... their website says "can not fail" their manual says "can not fail",. the fact is it failed miserably! they tell you you have to send them email, but then they don't respond to the email... spread the word, put this guy out of business!

I have also dealt with heal a seal. I believe that it may work in minor cases of a fisure crack or a small crack. But lets be real a blown gasket forget it. I myself can only say that this is a quess as unfortunately they do not let you know its shelve life is only 1 month at most. I live in a climate where it is minus 30 degrees and do not have a heated garage. I wish they would be up front about this shelve life business before cash is exchanged. Sells would go down much more I would think.

Just throw your money away immediately. Heal a Seal has the perfect scam. A big promise and they don't tell you ahead of time that (1) it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to do, in fact our vehicle was virtually impossible. (2) They mix it up specifically for you when you order it and it is UNRETURNABLE if you decide you can't use it. (3) It is "good" for only 30 days.
And I'm sure if we use it and it doesn't work, too bad. Things that sound impossible usually are. Assuming that it really has worked for the people who are satisfied with the product, they are lucky. (But I am not convinced.)
Bottom Line, the fact is that you cannot get your money back if you decide you don't want to use it, and you are not warned about that until you've ordered it and read the lengthy manual and realize you've been cheated. I'd like to send it back anyway, but it would cost about $13 and I hate to waste more money.

The only product that I've heard about that can work is made by a company called DIKE...
Sounds like this loser trying to sell this Heal-a-Seal crap is NON-LEGIT, sitting at his little computer whacking off all day...
If you happen to come across ANY website that has YELLOW on it then it is NOT-LEGIT. There are so many of them...
I'm sure you've seen tons of em especially those ones where it says a mom is making $xxx.xx a day/week/month whatever...you know the Google scam one...
Those NOT-LEGIT websites all have the same layout...about a mile long getting you to read so much crap to try and get you to believe what they are advertising
by repeating it over and over for miles...UTTERLY USELESS...STAY AWAY/CLEAR of them...they are all hoaxes!
Myself with my Northstar engine, I have rewired the 2 fans and put them on switches with a 30 amp fuse and can turn them on whenever I feel like it...
I don't believe in relays...relays BLOW...enough said about relays...
If a block sealer is going to work you would need to get it into the engine so flushing the radiator and then putting in the product would be a quick way of getting it in there...
The water pump has a belt with a tensioner on it and this is where I believe is the main problem as the pump is usually not pumping fluid fast enough, so probably getting
a new belt and making sure its tight to get that water pump pumping the coolant quicker, rather than trickling should help to fix the issue...

also remember to put each fan on its own separate 30 amp fuse...
putting 2 fans on 1 fuse will blow that fuse...

For each fan:
Get an ON/OFF switch that has 3 connector poles on it...POWER, ACC, GROUND
1) run the negative wire from the fan to a ground on the car...
2) run a negative wire from the GROUND on the switch to a ground on the car...
3) run the positive wire from the fan to the ACC pole on the switch...
4) run a positive wire from the POWER pole on the switch to a 30 amp fuse...use a single fuse block that has a wire on each end of it...
5) run a positive wire from the 30 amp fuse block to the battery positive pole (top positive pole if it has one)...

Now turn on the switch and the fan will spin (and make noise of course)...
That's what I did for the 2 fans so I don't have to rely on JUNKASS relays that fail...All I have to worry about is a few wires and a fuse...SIMPLE!

NOTHING>>>I REPEAT NOTHING, that comes in a can or bottle can fix head gaskets or rebuild your transmission or engine. If you are still inclined to try this product be sure you read and comply with all the instructions, and above all PAY WITH A MAJOR CREDIT CARD, so you can dispute the charge and get your $$ back. Even better, call the "tech support" guy, and tell him that you want to record the conversation because you have a hard time remembering things (it's illegal to tape phone conversations without the persons consent). Then when you dispute the charge you will have all his BS on tape and have no trouble getting your money back.

Thanks guys for saving many people the cost of this product as well as possible other damages done to the engine by using it. Stop leaks are only good for temporary repairs to outside block, radiators and heater coils. They only put off the inevitable need to properly repair damaged parts. There is absolutely, at least at this time, no permanent repair for head gaskets or cracked blocks on the combustion chamber side of the cooling system. Some products may perform for a short time, but will fail when highway speeds are encountered. Lets make others aware of scams like this!

i own a small auto repair shop and a customer of mine purchased this product to remedy a blown headgasket (98 caddy northstar) .. in theory the product may work under perfect conditions/circumstances BUT... that is a very small percent of the time . my customers car was leaching coolant badly from head into #7 cylinder ( which by this time was literally a geyser) when cranking car over. the directions tell you to isolate worst cylinder(i did) and run product thru w that cylinder disabled/plug out . all ok until cylinders 1-3-5 begin to lose coolant into the cylinders, car stalls never to be fired again ( spark plugs dont fire well in water) then product is trapped in cooling system unable to circulate because car will never run again with 4 out of 8 cylinders "under water" be very careful what you buy . ( personally id never buy a northstar so... good luck !

as envery one says, i was wealing to try it, because i have try evrything on the market, by the way, i have a work shop to repair cars, and nothing works, it is always necesary to change the head gasket.
when i try it it doen't work heal-a-seal is a big hoax, if you want to buy they rapidly answer you, but wen it comes to a claim the company seams to disapear.
it is a expensive product wich can be mach with products that cost $2.00, and they still doesn't work.
honestly as a mechanics (for my own fleet for my company) or to any mechanics it would be a miracle product that would save costs, time and we still be charging for the job with less efforts, but this is as fantasy as the product that claim to make your hair grow, they dont exist at least for now.

Hi everybody i can personally testify that i brought a vehicle with a blown head gasket problem 5 years ago with the intention of researching buying a head gasket kit sending the head away to be machined and having a go at redoing the head gasket myself to save money.

Through my research I stumbled across a product called steel seal, skeptical and doubtful of the products potential to actually reseal a broken head gasket, I continued researching until I finally reached the conclusion that this product among all of the same products claiming the same outcome, seem to have the highest success rate of resealing gaskets then other products.

Don’t get me wrong there were many dissatisfied customers who stated it did not work or make a difference to their vehicles; however I knew I only had 3 options
• Pay some to fix it for $1800
• Fix it myself $800
• Try steel seal $70

Obviously I knew I had to try the product first, I brought the product followed the instructions and didn’t hope for much as to me it was just a gimmick, I noticed the white steam from the exhaust pipe was getting less and less and then the engine started to sound better and better as it was missing before, after 1 hour the van seemed to be idling normal, but I still didn’t give it much credit as to me it was still just a gimmick.

Turned the van off waited for it to cool down started it up and went for its first drive, still wasn’t convinced I was waiting for the product to fail, 1 month went past without any problems than 2 and 3 months, by now I was convinced that maybe this product could do what it claimed and as a result over a 24 month period I resealed close to over 30 vehicles and of those 30 vehicles there were about 5 that were beyond resealing with this product because the damaged to the head gasket, cylinder head or engine block was too much for this product to reseal so they vehicles would need to done properly.

This is what I have learned and concluded after 2 years using this product it can reseal small to minor damaged but it CANNOT reseal MAJOR damage.

The van is still resealed after 5 years my advice to you is to try to assess the damage to determine if it’s minor or major I know it sounds impossible but like I said there are many people that are not satisfied with this product I am only sharing my experience with it.
I hope this has shed some light on the problem; I am not a mechanic, agent client or promoter for this product, I am just the average person that used it and this is what happened.

This is the response i got when dealing with this company it is a real scam. I am reporting them to the attorney general and the better business bureau. Please read my response from this company. They are abusive and totally unprofessional and once they have your money they have no intentions of returning anything and their shipments are outbound only, no way to return product that according to other comments does not work anyway.

Well vickie, what in the world do you *think* you are doing this time?

And are you sure you are all together - or do you just *think* so!

Here we are technical experts only! Not behavioral disorders experts!

We deal with facts and real issues only, and not some imaginary
'fata morgana' of your hallucinatory making - that you *thought*
Might have been factual!... As in your... "i *thought* i cancelled the order"...
... Only to proceed with such *unthinkable* as all your mindless threats
You enumerated in your initial 'collection' below!

And so for the record - such an arrogant, 'chip on the shoulder',
And *beyond the condescending flavor* type of frantic and deprived
Miscellany... Just can not be left without the appropriate reply!

Not even if you were to offer an honest admission that such out of
Touch with reality, and especially such outrageously false and
Sickening accusations, are caused by the dementia, hallucinatory drugs,
Or whatever else might be ailing you?!...

So make sure this reply is included when you "follow through with reporting"

For the above reasons the statements of real facts are provided below
To *clarify and debunk* all of your absolute nit wit stuff... Including
That cockamamie threats collection of yours!
The same insane collection which is replete with some absolutely
Ridiculous and imaginary accusations - all of which strictly based
On what you might have *thought* in your twisted and demented
Mind, and which are not based on any actual facts, whatsoever!
How dare you!

Furthermore, such absolutely foolish and totally irrational *thoughts*
In view of your... "after i *thought* i cancelled the order"... Statement - only
To be outdone by some even more astonishing *actions*:... Such as
... "have returned the product"... - they are both totally unacceptable here!

If in your upside down world you equate 'thoughts' with facts, you
Have absolutely no other place, but in your own fantasy den in that
World... As on this planet, facts are facts and thoughts are thoughts!
Just ask any second grader!
And so much for your 'thoughts'!

As for your 'facts' (If you can differentiate them from just thoughts!?)...
To whom do you *think* you might have returned the product to?
The outbound only and *no inbound* shipments facility?
And with what 'rma' - the return merchandise authorization number?,
Etc.

Although all of these are your problem only, they do additionally speak
Volumes of your lack of sanity, and inability to deal with the reality!
Life reality and business reality!
And your credibility killing reality!
So what were you *thinking* this time, again?

Was it that you *thought* that if you walk on the ceiling, the rest of
The world will maybe follow you, too?

And so for all those thought-less thoughts and thought-less - and
Utterly foolish actions... You are now totally disqualified from any
Further communications here!

Except for the following statements which render any and all
Of your *thoughts*, and actions, *totally irrelevant* anyway:
==============================================================

Cancelling an order is not permissible!

Your order was for a *perishable product* which has a limited shelf
Life!
(It can only maintain its 'aggressive molecular structure' for ~30 days
Only - which structure makes it expand and create a head on each side of
The breach!... After the seal creation... To form the analogy of a
Rivet - for a permanent fix!)...
That is why it works so incomparably better than any other product on
The market!... And which product is for that reason produced on order
Only... Again as per the sales terms and conditions which are made
Clear up-front - right on the website - and to which you agreed to, by
Placing your order!

The relevant excerpt (From the paragraph before last, on the bottom of
The page) on this url: http://www.Heal-a-seal.com/repairortreat. Html
(Also reachable directly from the main page via a huge 'repair or treat' button!)
Makes that perfectly clear!

Besides enumerating a multitude of 'pro' and 'con' reasons to help with
The purchasing decision, and for preventing this type of posthumous
Melodrama, as well as to *keep away* all the wishy-washy and dead
Beat buyers - such as *those of your ilk* - and such totally unfair and
Irresponsible buyers who think they can cause a producer / vendor
To incur the processing, production, and shipping expenses, (And get
Away with it 'scot-free') - for all those reasons it clearly states the
Following *sales terms and conditions*:

"
However, when you order it you must use it within the first month! This
Is due to the fact that it is a perishable product, which has a limited
Shelf life, and for the same reason all sales are final - as the product
Can not be returned to stock or be re-sold to another customer. It is
Like filling a prescription at the pharmacy... You would never even
Think of returning the medication and telling the pharmacist that the
Patient got well without the prescription, would you?... Likewise, since
Heal-a-sealtm is produced on order only, make sure you can use it within
That time as it is *not returnable, nor cancelable*, and buyer is held
Liable once an order is processed. Therefore, by placing your order you
Confirm that you have read, understood, accepted, and agreed to the
Above sales terms, and that you will abide by them - as your order is a
Binding contract. (This is not to be confused with the money back
Guarantee, which when enacted, is only applicable if the product fails
To fix the problem). Furthermore, you also agree that you will read the
User manual in its entirety, and that you will follow all the
Instructions contained therein for the proper use of the product - so as
To ascertain the optimum results.
"
So much for the absurdity of 'reading you the website over the internet'!

Therefore, when you proceeded with the placing of your order, you
Had to have *already agreed to those terms and conditions*, so any
Subsequent imaginary "order cancelling" that you *thought* you did,
Is totally unacceptable, and it *does not eliminate your liability*!

So again, with your... *thought* i cancelled the order"... If you think that you
Have *cancelled the un-cancellable*... Clearly in your mind only, there is
Also a common sense rule - for those with common sense... And it is:

'you order it - *you own it*' (Especially a perishable product!)...

But, for those like you who are deprived of any common sense, that is
Also the law!

Consequently, you can ship it anywhere you want, but that will
Obviously not end your liability!... And that is so even if you send it to
The black hole of the *no inbound* shipments facility... Since it is indeed
Your prerogative as to how you use, or misuse, or ultimately dispose
Of *your* own item!
Again, common sense, but again, for those obviously deprived of any
Common sense, that is also the law!

And more of such statements which also render any and all of
Your *thoughts*, and actions, *totally irrelevant* anyway:
===============================================================

A quote from the ordering page: http://www.Heal-a-seal.com/ordering. Html
"
All orders are shipped the same day if received by 2 pm.
However we can not control the carrier's delivery process and are not responsible for
Any delays.

Any charges over these amounts - which vary with distance - cover the
Handling charges, including the packing costs!
Again, common sense, for the 3rd time, but of course that is all
Meaningless to anyone of the likes of you!
In view of all of the above, no further incredibly irrelevant rubbish is
Acceptable from your origin and in case you send any - it is already
