user/ member location/ area not correct. contacted customer service three time but not helped
When I registered with Hoobly, I was not prompted to give my location/ area, but just my email address is all. Please note: I do not live in Homossassa, but rather in Lakeland Florida. I have contacted Hoobly Customer Service three times so far but they have not helped me yet. They responded once and suggested that I update my ad location. But please note: my ad will always continue to show up in Homossassa until my user/profile is changed. Their system does not allow the user/ member to update their location so I am stuck. I am grateful for their pet ad service but I will never get any buyers when I am listed so far away. I have been contacting and asking customer service for help for about a week now. Might as well delete my ad and my membership as well if you won't help me. Its not what I want but its useless to place ads to some other faraway/ remote city from me. Rather, I ask again here for customer service to help rectify this situation properly by changing my user/member location to Lakeland Florida.
Please note: I do not live in Homossassa Florida. Rather, I live in Lakeland Florida. Not sure how my user/ member location area was listed in Homossassa. I contacted Customer Service three times but was not helped. They replied to me once and suggested that I update my ad location, which I did but the ad still is listed in Homossassa. Its obvious that any ad that I place will always be listed in Homossassa until my user/ member location area gets changed. Members/ users do not have access to do this. So why is customer service giving me the runaround? Why don't they just fix it? I am stuck so my membership is useless, unless customer service helps me. Might as well remove both my ad and my membership. Its not what I want but its useless. Rather it would be better just for them to help me. Whats the big deal?
dog I gave a down payment on hoobly thru zelle for 200$
Me and my wife gave a down payment of 200$ for a golden doodle puppy and we found out it was a scam and we have a given pictures of the hoobly ad, the zelle transaction and also a picture of the Instagram page where we have messaged her and we are trying to get a reimbursement. Please please please try and get back with me as soon as possible and thankyou !
Does Hoobly ever actually check into these complaints and get back with anyone.
Has anyone gotten a phone number from her? I too made a deposit but I'm starting to worry because she is acting really shaddy and sent me an email request for the remaining $200 which isn't supposed to be due until pickup.
Please do Not send her anymore money I wish I would have saw this sooner. I have at least 10 names that she is using and 4 different emails. She did actually send a phone number and then blocked me but not before I got a screenshot. She is now using the name one stop Breeder on hoobly and the town listed as Frankfort. She has changed it several times. I made a fake name so she never knows who is me. I track her daily. I have contacted the police to file a report. FYI. You can not get your money back with Zelle that is why she’s using it. It’s a third party company
[protected] is the number she gave me. And has responded to it.
Anyone ever get anything back from Hoobly. She has posted these again. I have saw her post these for at least 6 times since I was scammed.
I made one also. But on a different Instagram called Desirees Doodles which has now changed to Hermosadoodles. I also sent my money through Zelle to a different email. So far I have collected 3 different Instagram names and 3 different emails. This person needs to be stopped. Its untelling how much money they have scammed from people and looks like they also have kids. So sad.
I hope this wasnt a scam, we made a deposit also
Please I hope this isn't a scam, I made a deposit also
boston terrier/dog breeder
I inquired about a Boston terrier I found on hoobly. I knew the price was to good to be true but I figured I'd try. The person wanted me to send $100 to hold him. I asked to come see him & pay the deposit in cash. For reasons unknown that wasn't possible. The person has a area code from Arkansas. The location on his account says Southfield mi. & he says he located on Marshall Mi which he didn't even spell right. I checked the account and they have multiple breed litters of puppies... all with these deposits and low prices. Bet this guy is making a killing off stupid people who send the money. Beware! Also FIY you can't transact dogs on PayPal. So keep that in mind! I hope people see this!
I am a victim! I should have known better. What’s worse is my children are disappointed because they thought they were getting a new puppy. I hope whomever is doing this gets caught so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. It’s just too bad people are so evil
stud dog service “nikobobber”
This woman took $500 from me after my dogs gave birth to two dead puppies, she was unsympathetic and has been calling to harass me and she is threatening to sue me for giving an honest review. I also received a message to my post from someone that said she took $200 from them for a puppy and they didn't get it. She seems very off it to me, I suggest anyone not to do business with her ever!
We are truly sorry for the loss you have endured. We have offered a compensation for a loss, if you were able to provide a veterinarian statement confirming it to be the fault of the stud. I do believe you did misrepresent the facts. You did have two females that were both bred, and both did produce offspring. However, both did give birth to live puppies, witch according to our records of correspondence lived for 3 days each. We also have records from you denying veterinarian care for mother or puppies to determine what the cause of death was. We have dozens of litters (before and after yours), and to date your two females are the only two with an unsuccessful litter. As for your statement about a puppy payment.. that is a complete false statement and we are able to prove that. We have a stud agreement that is signed prior to service and we have dozens of references from past litters. The stud fee is for a stud, and I am truly sorry you lost the litters, but every vet or expert we have consulted says there is no way it is the stud’s fault.
ad scam for french bulldog puppy in nc
Member "qwa" is a fraud and scam. Placed ad for French Bulldog puppy for sale in the Greensboro, NC area for $1, 300, I messaged the member, we texted back and forth, even spoke on the phone. We came to an agreement for purchasing the puppy, I sent the money, we agreed on a time and place to meet do I could pick up the puppy I paid for, and he did not ever...

Incident date: July 12, 2019
Client email: housecleaner2013
Breeder would not allow me to see parents or go to home. Met in parking lot to see puppy. Puppy's paws brown and yellow from feces and urine; fur by anus had old feces in fur. It smelled terrible. Did not receive documentation on health of puppy. She gave me a two day health guarantee. She could not provide me with health info. Said sister in law gave shots. First said vet checked, then clinic checked, then Petco checked. Called Petco, they do not do wellness checks. Did not register litter with AKC after claiming parents are AKC registered. I am waiting for response from AKC. Would not give address. Notified police and was told it is a civil matter. Was going to file in court, but decided my $450 just saved this puppy from what appears to be an illegitimate breeder more concerned about making money than welfare of puppies. I know she also has a litter of pekingnese. The resolution I would like is that this person is no longer allowed to advertise on your website and hopefully on no others.
home area is not michigan
Please note home area is not Southfield, Michigan it's Kentucky not sure why this has shown up this way. I would appreciate your correcting this mistake and letting me know that you did. There's no point in me trying to sell dogs in Michigan when I am living way down and Kentucky, if people see Michigan as my home state they were going to scroll right by as opposed to contacting me
I am with you on this. The same thing happened to me. When I contacted customer service they put it back on me to update my ad. But, no matter if I/ you update it, the ad will always be listed in the wrong city until customer service corrects the users/ members home area. The user/member does not have access to do it, so the user/member is stuck unless customer service does it for them.
macaw
I responded to an ad for baby Macaws from Charlesedward43 and sent money for the bird after talking for a while and he was answering questions so it seemed legitimate. I sent $900.00 ($200 via PayPal and $700 via VenMo) I was luckily able to get the funds back from Venmo as he could not access them due to an issue with ID he said. He was supposed to send the baby birds out via Delta animal cargo and on 2 separate occassions they never made it to the airport, first time he stated he was away and his co breeder who was feeding the babies was supposed to send. That day came and the birds never made the airline, he answered to that message and stated it was an issue with the crate the airline wouldn't accept it so he said he would send when he returned and that there would be no issues with the second shipment attempt. well that day comes and I tracked the airway tracking number that he gave me and again no birds made the flight! at this point he had blocked my number from contacting him and I have not heard another word from him. He still owes me $200.00 for the fund I could not recover from PayPal as he requested payment be sent friends and family, I didn't know this would not be a safe transaction, I thought any PayPal transaction was protected.
Sorry I sent $1060.00 $900 for the bird and $160 for shipping delta, the $860 was sent via Venmo which I got back
These scammers are everywhere. A lot of them are from African countries, and I'm not racist I am stating a fact. They only know how to RIP off innocent people. Buyer beware.
I hate admitting it, but I am out almost 600.00

chow chow puppies
My name is Michelle Cross email address is [protected]@yahoo.comYes this person took a $100 deposit for a dog that she represented as AKC. Well the father could have been but the litter is not. When I asked her on May 6th she said yes they could be registered. The day before I was to drive to pick up puppy she text me and said she had made a mistake that she had never sent in the parents papers and that would make neither parent registered. She told me she had another litter due and it would have AKC parents. Well the litter was born now she says it's not registerable. I asked for my deposit back and she blocked me. puppy
I purchased a Doberman from a breeder on your site. Their screen name is "dobes2017". Since purchasing the puppy I have had multiple medical issues and have spent a great deal of money to get the puppy to good health. This breeder I believe is simply running a puppy mill and selling dobermans with pre existing conditions. Also, they gave me the pup at 7 weeks, which at the time I was not aware was illegal. I hope you consider banning this seller to save the life of these dobermans because some might not have the money to fix them like we are. I've tried getting papers from them but they refuse and ignore me. I think they are a fraud and that you should remove them from making money off of these poor puppies. Feel free to contact me at [protected] and I will explain the 4 grand I just spent on him yesterday. It to mention the thousands before at the vet. Please do not let this continue.
account hacked
My account was hacked by someone supposedly selling dogs - I myself reported it to hoobly and they in turn banned me! I have been attempting to get this straightened out for about 6 months! I have tried to set up a new account only to have the message of my ip address has been banned appear on the sign up screen!
Really disappointed since this is one of the few sites left where you can advertise animal sales!

belgian malinois puppies ft worth
I got belgian malinois puppy from the breeder fermalinois79 with parvo virus.
I paid for the puppy, for the trip to Texas, for the doctor, for medicine, for pet's supplies.
I was giving her IV fluids and nutrition through syringe. She suffered a lot. Diarrhea started the next day (virus incubation period is 3-5 days), so obviously that all other puppies are infected too. Then vomiting started and diarrhea became bloody. It was horrible. I did not sleep a week. She died on my hand. Her heart just stopped. He doesn't answer my texts. His phone # is 817-727-9336. Be aware
scammer trying to sell puppies
So I seen an ad on hoobly for puppies.. So i messaged the seller..seller responded and spoke with her on the phone..we set up a day and time to meet. She asked for a deposit to hold the puppy. I figured thats normal for most breeders. She played me the whole way from where she claimed she was from (but wasnt). She took my money, never brought me my puppy and blocked me from all contacts.
DO not send money, pick it up, deposit only Pay pal (NOT family or friends) only then you can claim it back
cat breeder
Breeder using name bengal4life had a beautiful 1 year old Maine Coon listed for $400. I emailed her through Hoobly, and later texted and also talked to her on the phone. I decided to go ahead and purchase this cat, and she sent a money request through Zelle for the full amount of $400. So I paid that and we had plans that I would go to OH to pick her up. After I paid, she said she is willing to meet me half way, so I accepted that. Later she said she & her sister would combine this trip with visiting their brother, so if I would gas, she would bring her the whole way. So I sent $80 for gas. Then excuse after excuse, and no cat. I asked for my money back twice, and she doesn't respond at all. A week later she has the same cat posted again, this time at $550. Easy way to make money, just sell the same cat to as many people as you can.
This person has now changed her username from bengals4life to to preciousbengals08.
Do a google photo search on her photos and see where the exact same picture is in other countries as well!
Same thing just happened to me using the name Bengals4life, I talked and texted with her sending tons of pictures of kittens, she said her name is Samantha Gast, I used western union, so she must have several identities, well got my money too, I used hoobly before, never will again
So sorry to hear that! I paid through Zelle, which I thought was safe, but there is no way of getting my money back. Her bank account was set up with the name Samantha Gast. I saw she changed her Hoobly ID now, but I posted several ads warnings others of her tactics.
Basically the same thing happened to me. I messaged a "seller" username jamiecummings on Hoobly. She messaged me back with her phone number. We texted several times, chatted on the phone a couple of times and I felt it was legit. She asked $850 for a Sphinx kitten. Deposit of $400. I paid the deposit through paypal friends and family. She claimed she never received it. She desperately tried to get me to resend, which thank goodness I didn't. I called paypal several times and they assured me that if I sent it to the email she gave me, she received it. For the next 24 hours she relentlessly tried to get me to resend the payment, except for $450 the next time. I didn't. Now a week has passed and she will not return my messages. DO NOT BUY FROM ANYONE NAMED Jamie Cummings or Kim Stalks (this is who the paypal payment went to per her request). She is clearly using the same photos to take deposits on kittens that she clearly never intends to deliver upon her promise.
We were looking into doing work with her as well. Did your $400 come out of your account? My wife submitted the payment a few times and kept getting the response that it didn't come through. Luckily, it has not come out of the account yet, and we are in contact with paypal hoping they don't come out all at once. Did yours ever come out? Were you able to get your money back if it did?
I paid through Zelle, and noo, I never got anything back. I still keep asking her.
What did she tell you her name was
hedgehog adoption
I was looking for a baby hedgehog. And this woman was selling them for $150 each. Asking for $50 deposits. So I got in contact with her and sent out $100 check on January 14th of 2019. Every week since then she has come up with an excuse as to why the are not available. She doesn't send pics. Her email is scoobydoo0721@aol.com, her number is 330-565-3698, and her name is Gina Syacsure. She has taken down her ad. Says deposits are non-refundable now that we are questioning her about why they are not available.
bengal kittens
applied to ad about bengal4life she took my deposit drove 5 hours gave me wrong address she scammed another lady on this site. She needs to removed. I asked her if she had any silver bangels but realized she was too far away but she kept messaging me through hoobly so if figured it was legit boy was i wrong. so she is going to ruin it for honest people out there who do need a deposit on their pure bread beagles. i did get the police involed and hope the do get her. She use people 's pictures from pinterest she is a fraud stay away from her people.
I was scammed by Samantha Gast as well. If you do a google photo search on her listed pictures, you will see that they are found on numerous sites.
I have posted ads warning others of her, and have been thanked by a few people as a result.
Hi did she tell you her name was Samantha Gast, I gave her my money as well for Bengal kitten, she claims shes in Ohio, never got kitten
