I booked a hotel though HOTEL PLUS PORTAL and pre-paid them. When I got in the hotel, I had to pay the hotel in order to check in. So I paid twice. And it's hard to get my money back form HOTEL PLUS PORTAL .
We booked a room through Hotel Portal only to arrive and no rooms were available. Busy Spring Break in Miami and all hotels booked - what a nightmare at the last minute and no one at Hotel Portal answered the phones around 5:00 pm- just went into music!

I use Hotel Plus Portal and it was a disaster. They gave me some rates that the hotel did not want to honor. I ended up paying a lot more. Bad choice.

I used hotels plus over a year ago and a $9.99 charge showed on my debit card now. It has taken ten days and still no resolution. My blood pressure is up and I will tell everyone I know not to use them.

Do not use this company, no matter the savings. They booked me in the wrong hotel. They said they would refund the money I prepaid when I made the reservation. It's been 2 months and I am still waiting. They never return phone calls or emails. They are crooks!.

I booked a hotel with this company, they took their non-refundable deposit then a week later sent me an auto-generated email cancelling my booking. They have not answered phone calls or emails to sort this out. They are very unprofessional or are they crooks. I will never use them again

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Its a horrible service, they have 3 people working there, Kenneth Jhonson (Ken) manager and owner, James and Jennifer. All of them are very rude. You will regret once you provide them your credit card number. They will not listen to any complaints.
I was booked in a wrong hotel and when the reservation was changed I was charged significantly more amount so I tried to cancel the reservation and after I raised the issue no one will respond to my phone calls. I was repeatedly put on hold after the phone was picked up until it went to voice mail. No one will return your call.
Its a horrible service PLEASE DO NOT USE.

I booked a hotel through Hotel Plus needed to change dates, they did change dates but without letting me know charged me double .
Called them back but they dont want to resolve my problem. Please stay away from HOTEL PLUS PORTAL!

I am really surprised to read these comments. I have the polar opposite experience. My wife and I arrived at our hotel at 2am (due to our flights being delayed) and the hotel had given our room away and was now oversold. We called Hotel Plus and they found us a better hotel at a lower rate just one block away. Hotel Plus helped us when the hotel would not. We will certainly use them again.

We recently used your site to book a trip1078178 - we were told after questioning the hotel smoking policy that all of your hotels are smoke free by your customer service. When we got to our destination the room we received was run down and had the offensive odor of cigars and stale cigarettes. I thought if we left the door open it would help but nothing would get the stench out of the room. We ask about other rooms but all were smoking rooms. We had to get all of our clothes cleaned whether they had been worn or not. Frequent showers were a must just to get the stench off. I am truly disappointed and disgusted at how we were mislead and with no options since we prepaid for this room.
still have not acknowledged our issue stated above - we have made several attempts to contact them . We would like resolution in the form of a refund back to our credit card.

I WAS ALREADY ON MY WAY TO ORLANDO, I GOT THERE AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING EVEN THOUGH I HAD A RESERVATION PAID IN ADVANCE. I HAD TO PAY AGAIN FOR MY ROOM. WHEN I TRIED TO GET MY REFUND FROM HOTEL PLUS PORTAL I WAS GIVING THE RUN AROUND AND STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. I Agree that " Hotel Plus Portal " is a scam operation. I thought that I was getting into the hotel website after my roommate was hospitalized in which we have documents these people thumbed their noses without any compromise to a future date or just one night charge in essence that I lose all my deposit on the hotel. There are a lot of booking sites that won't even charge you for cancellation some will charge first night then cancel rest. This site charges you for everything. What do they hope to achieve beside making customers furious. I talked to a gal named Rachel there whom hung up on me after asking... "what would you do if you were in my shoes?" I wrote to a manager named "Michelle Gonzalez whom told me more or less "tough luck" ! These people should be ashamed yet when you have no conscience then you have no shame...

THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMLESS TOTALLY RIP OFFS. I HAD BOOKED MY RESERVATION TO GO TO SINT MAARTEN THEN CANCELLED THE DAY BEFORE AS THERE WAS A HURRICANE HEADING TO THE ISLAND.I CANCELLED IN TIME YET THEY CLAIM WHEN I CONTESTED THE AMOUNT CHARGED THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION IF I WON MY CASE.THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS CAN'T RECOMMEND THEM . YES I WILL FIGHT THESE RIP OFFS UNTIL MY PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. VERY AGRESSIVE ABRASIVE ATTITUDE ON THE PHONE..THE AIRLINES DIDN'T EVEN FLY THERE FOR TWO DAYS WTF! Hotel Plus is an internet scam! Their website is designed to lead you into paying penalties that our credit card company (American Express) upheld in their favor! The site purposely allows you to push just one wrong button that the company will not correct, even when contacted within minutes of making a reservation!

I booked a hotel room for next year through HotelPlusPortal.com. Today I received a call from the hotel, informing me that Hotel Plus, LLC has ceased operations, taken the money, my reservation is invalid and I need to pay the hotel in full to make the reservation. HotelPlusPortal.com, guestsmile.com and all other related websites are all gone, voicemail is full, and emails return error messages.

I booked a hotel, not realizing that I was not contacting the hotel directly. After reading the above comments, I see now that I was scammed into thinking that. I wanted to change my reservation and have not been able to, using the emails and website provided to me on the "confirmation" of my booking. The phone number provided when calling through the credit card company number that was provided on my statement gets you into an endless runaround on the phone system, never allowing you to contact a live person. It appears that the hotel DOES have a booking for me, and was paid for the stay, however, since I can not contact HotelPlusPortal.com I am unable to change the reservation as I would like to do. I had NO IDEA that I wasn't contacting the hotel directly when I called the number listed on an apparently bogus website. In addition, the credit card that was used when I booked the reservation was scammed ten days after I provided HotelPlusPortal with my credit card details. Coincidence? I think not. BE CAREFUL when booking - although I don't know how this scam could be prevented. Also, after contacting the hotel directly, it appears that a reservation exists via Expedia, which I did not use when booking. When I contacted Expedia directly with the booking number that the hotel provided, I was told that I need to contact the EAN (Expedia Authorized N..) directly in order to make any modifications to the reservation. I have reported the fraud with my credit card company, and will attempt to deal with Expedia fraud management to see if they can prevent this type of fraud.
