We were approached to vote in the 2011 LEgal Excellence Awards. This appears to be SPAM in an attempt to build someone's database.

We are getting bombarded by what appears to be an explosion of new business magazines from the UK.
Ones that have contacted us are Lawyer World Magazine. Based on their website, they look like they are still establishing themselves. Their “Find a Lawyer” search is in construction/development stages and they have no content of their own listed, instead they have links to other websites. This magazine also owns, Lawyers Monthly Magazine and DealMakers Monthly Magazine – all of which appear very odd and have little or no content of their own.

We have been experiencing the same issue with these publciations. Go to whois.net and search for their domain names -- all registered by the same large-scale internet marketing domain name registrar. And all very recently. Definitely a scam.

The reason you were asked to nominate firms is because InterContinental Finance award firms on merit and need nominations, like any decent awards programme, to justify the award!
You are completely wrong - InterContinental Finance Magazine are the good guys of the bunch

Appears to me that this small group of magazines is someones attempt to get into the trade without much financial backing. Which of you critics hasn't "faked it" a little, when you were starting out? Did you pad your resume? Well, maybe these magazines are guilty of padding their content. So far, there doesn't seem to be any legal fraud, just a lot of hooey, with a touch of b---s---. They could be out and out crooks, or possibly just some under-financed guys with big brass b----! Maybe I will write for them, and be one of the first of their real content. I'm retired, bored, and I am an under-financed guy with my own set of big brass b----! And when it comes to technical issues, I can bust a lot of b----! Check me out in Wikipedia. One entry is in the "reactive armor" section; my particular three paragraph contribution on that page starts out "Another aspect of ERA ..." How about it, Deal Makers Monthly? Its easy for you to find me, I subscribed to your net version just today, Nov. 1, 2012.
