Here we go again. We still are having to deal with constant breakdowns of our three 2012 International Dura Star straight trucks. The high pressure oil line has blown three times on one truck. All three of the new trucks have had the truck shut off because the fuel was not transferring from one fuel tank to the draw tank, so even though the fuel gauge read 1/2 full, the truck "thought" that it was empty and shut off. This is happening on Route 78, which is a busy, high traffic highway into NYC. We were told in writing that the trucks would get 8.5 mpg, but reality is more like 4.5 - 6mpg, and the upper number is only after getting a new rear in the truck. I don't really know how to explain how frustrating it is to own Internationals, and to deal with their customer service. We would like International to buy back these trucks. If they're so great, they shouldn't have any problem re-selling them, right? International knows that these trucks are junk and they don't want any part of them either. The funny thing is, for all of the warranty work that they've done on these trucks for free they could have bought them back already and been further ahead. Don't buy International. They do not stand behind their product. Well, let me explain. They WILL repair the trucks for free, but you'll get to pay for towing, extra labor while your guys sit on the side of the road, loss of reputation with your customers who are waiting for their deliveries and fuel to run back and forth constantly to the repair shop. You will also get to see a lot of scenery that you otherwise wouldn't have as you travel to pick up your driver time and time again. I'm tired of International.

This truck is pure junk. Bought a 2012 just about a year ago, its been in the shop no less than 6 times with over 30 days lost service. When I approached Inter national about help to get out of this junker I was flat out told no. We paid 80k cash, the selling dealer offered us 35k in trade, they said the truck had to many problems. We will never buy an International again !
